PreSonus Revelator Dynamic USB Microphone with Onboard DSP Reviews
Whether you’re a seasoned creator or getting ready for your first episode, adding a PreSonus Revelator Dynamic to your setup is a wise move. This USB microphone improves on the original Revelator design with the addition of a dynamic microphone capsule for the warm and deep “podcast” sound. Furthermore, the Revelator Dynamic comes with eight onboard presets to polish your vocals to a studio-quality sheen at the source. Each preset is fully editable in PreSonus’ Universal Control app for Mac, PC, and iPad, which allows you to fine-tune your perfect sound. The microphone also has an onboard 6-in/6-out USB interface with three stereo loopback channels for streaming multiple sources at once. Users at Sweetwater appreciate that the Revelator Dynamic includes a headphone output, which lets you monitor your mix with zero latency. Plus, Revelator Dynamic is fully bus powered, so you don’t have to worry about buying a power supply or fiddling with phantom power.

Quality, flexibility and a ton of value
- PD-70's condenser.
- Onboard DSP. It can store up to four profiles.
- Full physical button controls.
- FAT channel EQ'ing. (Don't use the default ones, that's one caveat to these. Copy EposVox's settings from Youtube to start and you'll really see how well you can EQ this thing.)
- No latency headphone monitoring/playback. You can drive 32ohm headphones easily, and contrary to reviews i've seen they can drive my 300ohm HD6XX's decently. Make sure not to forget about the fader.
- Two Submixes. This is super helpful for podcasting.
- Free DAW.
There's a ton that this brings, definitely considering the price.
What I Needed
This mic sound pretty Good for it being a usb mic, and the presonus software make it sound even better with the eq set up.
Pretty good
Audio is versatile and customizable, no problems after a couple of weeks.
