A Shock Mount For Your Royer!

The Royer RSM-1 shockmount holds your favorite Royer microphones safely and in style! Featuring a handsome Royer badge and sturdy construction, the RSM-1 effectively isolates your mic from vibration, while eliminating the kind of microphone "lean" you often get from suspension mounts. This shockmount's design also keeps mics from accidentally being pulled out from the cable end due to tripping or catching on mic cables, while a special keyed slot positively holds your mic in its correctly oriented position. Designed for Royer R-121, R-122, SF-12, and SF-1 mics, the RSM-1 also works with other 1"-diameter microphones.

Royer RSM-1 Microphone Shock Mount at a Glance:
  • New shock mount specifically designed for Royer mics
  • Easy microphone mounting with minimal mic contact
  • Sturdy support frame with smooth clutch and release button

New shock mount specifically designed for Royer mics
The Royer RSM-1 shock mount is specifically designed to support Royer R-121, R-122, SF-12 and SF-1 microphones. Specially formulated polymer mounts provide maximum isolation from shock and vibration while holding the microphone
securely in place, preventing microphone "lean" even when the microphone is positioned horizontally. The RSM-1 also works well with any cylindrical microphone with a one-inch diameter barrel.

Easy microphone mounting with minimal mic contact
Keyed slots are provided at the front and rear of the RSM-1's inside support tube to accurately orient the microphone's center (logo) position. The slots
also serve as a locking mechanism to prevent the microphone from being pulled out of the shock from the cable side. The rear slot is provided to facilitate reverse positioning of the microphone for backside recording with the R-121 or R-122. The Royer RSM-1's Delrin support tube is relieved on the inside to minimize contact with the microphone. Two Teflon strip rings are bonded to the Delrin support tube, contacting the microphone in only two places.

Sturdy support frame with smooth clutch and release button
The Royer RSM-1 support frame is machined from solid T-6 hard aluminum, then black anodized for long life and a clean look. The clutch mechanism provides easy positioning of the shock with minimal pressure. There is also a release button that enables the clutch handle to be re-positioned out of the way.

Royer RSM-1 Microphone Shock Mount Features:
  • Adapts easily for mounting inside Rycote and Sennheiser windscreens
  • Finished in high-quality black anodize
  • Includes a 3/8 x 16 male to 5/8 x 27 female adapter
  • Weighs less than .75 lb.

When Royer Labs got their Technical Grammy in 2013, they couldn't wait to come to Sweetwater to show it off. One thing they impressed on us was how much our amazing relationship helped to get the word out about their products. Of course, getting the word out about their amazing ribbon mics was easy - we've never regretted recommending them. In fact, it wouldn't be immodest to say that Royer was one of the biggest forces behind the ribbon mic's recent return to popularity. In addition to providing greater clarity and transparency to the classic ribbon sound, Royer's designs dramatically reduced the bulk and weight of these mics. That's made it easy for the engineers at Sweetwater Studios to use Royer ribbons for close-miking amps and getting deep into drum kits and acoustic pianos. We absolutely love them, and we're sure you will too.
