A Shock Mount For Your Royer! The Royer RSM-1 is an attractive shock mount that provides upgraded performance for all Royer mics. Isolation of the microphone from shock and vibration is excellent, microphone "lean" is non-existent, making mic positioning more reliable, and the microphone cannot be pulled out of the shock from the cable side, which helps prevent an accidental trip to the floor. The RSM-1 shock mount is slotted to accept the microphone in forward or rearward facing positions. Royer RSM-1 Microphone Shock Mount at a Glance: New shock mount specifically designed for Royer mics Easy microphone mounting with minimal mic contact Sturdy support frame with smooth clutch and release button New shock mount specifically designed for Royer mics The Royer RSM-1 shock mount is specifically designed to support Royer R-121, R-122, SF-12 and SF-1 microphones. Specially formulated polymer mounts provide maximum isolation from shock and vibration while holding the microphone securely in place, preventing microphone "lean" even when the microphone is positioned horizontally. The RSM-1 also works well with any cylindrical microphone with a one-inch diameter barrel. Easy microphone mounting with minimal mic contact Keyed slots are provided at the front and rear of the RSM-1's inside support tube to accurately orient the microphone's center (logo) position. The slots also serve as a locking mechanism to prevent the microphone from being pulled out of the shock from the cable side. The rear slot is provided to facilitate reverse positioning of the microphone for backside recording with the R-121 or R-122. The Royer RSM-1's Delrin support tube is relieved on the inside to minimize contact with the microphone. Two Teflon strip rings are bonded to the Delrin support tube, contacting the microphone in only two places. Sturdy support frame with smooth clutch and release button The Royer RSM-1 support frame is machined from solid T-6 hard aluminum, then black anodized for long life and a clean look. The clutch mechanism provides easy positioning of the shock with minimal pressure. There is also a release button that enables the clutch handle to be re-positioned out of the way.
