SKB 1SKB-R112AUV 1x12 Amp Utility Vehicle Reviews
SKB's 1 x 12 Amp Utility Vehicle is a safer, easier, and more effective way to take your 1 x 12" combo guitar amplifier or speaker cabinet on the road. The amp or cabinet sits on the 1 x 12 Amp Utility Vehicle's rolling base, fastened by hook-and-loop material, corner cleats, and a secure reverse-cinch belt to keep it from jostling around. Despite all that security, setting up your amp is as easy as taking off the top of the case. The thing Sweetwater guitarists like the most about the 1 x 12 Amp Utility Vehicle is that you can flip over the top and use the whole thing as a sturdy amp stand.

Great protection
A great road case for a 1 x 12 combo amp. I purchased this case for my Mesa Boogie Fillmore 50. Fits well. Great protection. Holds the amp very securely with the velcro corner blocks and the integrated strap. The casters make it easy to move, and it converts into a stand too by placing the base on top of the upside down cover. Highly recommended if you care about your amp.
SKB for my VOX AC15C1
I've had my VOX AC15C1 for a couple of years and I've been protecting it with the cloth dust cover that you can purchase and I wanted to upgrade to a quality case for protection while gigging. I'm a big fan of the Flight Cases but between the weight and the price I began to search for a better option for me. I also have the Yamaha MX61 synth and I had purchased an SKB case for that and after seeing the quality and I had to give this SKB product a chance.
Shipped to my door in Virginia in a matter of a couple of days from Sweetwater (no additional charge I might add) and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the case.
When you receive it the wheels will need to be attached with the included quality casters. I immediately adjusted the plastic supports that fit around the bottom of the amp and I strapped my amp in place. I lifted and tried setting it on the top to raise my amp and it feels really secure and the wheels are hidden inside of the case when placing it on top.
I have two separate bands and between the two we play anywhere from 30-40 shows per year and I don't see any reason why this item would not last. I do agree with the other reviewer that when lifting the handles the case does flex a bit but I do not believe that I will have any issues with it (at least for my amp). I bring my amp home with me in my personal vehicle instead of hauling it in the band truck but I do think my amp would receive excellent protection if I did place it with our other equipment.
I'm very pleased with the design, weight and ease of use and I would purchase it again if I needed it. If you're in the market for a case, give this one a shot. I'm sure glad I did.
Awesome
Great case. Good protection and light weight. I needed something sturdy but not as heavy as a flight Case. This is very solid, thick plastic and is sturdy as an amp stand. I'm using this for a Marshall JVM 215c 1x12 combo and it works great. I took off half a star because the handle design is odd and seems to put too much stress on each handle. See the other reviews about this. Other than that I'm happy. There are grooves to grab this case so I don't use handles much. Also you will need some inner foam padding if u want to a really secure fit. I like the adjustable feet and the amp strap.
Pretty good!
I've had this case for about 3 years or so now and its been great for my PRS amp! My ONLY complaint and the reason its getting 4 stars is the locking casters are crap. They don't actually stop it at all like the case for our rack. If we dont pack the amp in the middle of things on the trailer it will spin around/move on the trailer.
Weird handle design??
Just purchased this for my Mesa Mark V. It seems great, looks to do exactly what it claims. My only concern/complaint is with the handle design. The hinges on the handles seem to be upside down. When the case is closed and amp is being transported, the hinges are on top. Instead of pulling out from the top (hinge on bottom) and letting the weight of the amp hang on them, they pull out from the bottom (hinge on top) and stop a little less than 90 degrees. This puts a lot of weight and stress on the handle hinges, you can actually feel the case flex and they don't feel like they will hold up. Perfect design, minus this feature. My amp weighs 80lbs. I love the case until the day the handles break off. I really don't understand this design. Smh.....
