I have played every kinds of music from classical music to rock, blues acoustic and jazz all sound fantastic. You definitely need a good quality source Mp3 generally won't cut it with these cans. use FLAC or Apple Lossless. Overall I would describe these headphones as smooth and natural sounding. These phones require a good headphone amp to bring out their best qualities, if amped well they punch far beyond their price point for excellent sound quality. Highly recommended. close [-]

So far so good. I love the build quality of these phones. I did not break it in all the way yet, I got about 90 hours on them. they say 300 is the sweet spot.. but even so, I can really start hearing ... read more [+]a better sound then when I first got them. Already I have had people in the studio ask which ones are they, they are bad-ass, love em etc... so they are catching people's eyes as well. They really didn't have to go through the exte... read more [+]nsive burn-in period either. The biggest disappointment I have with these headphones is their inefficiency in the low end. They are so weak starting at about 200 hz and below that you're certainly not gonna be able to trust them with a mix down. I usually like to throw on some headphones and listen to the low-end.
