Works perfectly!
I attached this to my boom arm and it does a great job supporting my Rode microphone. Very happy with my purchase.
Good Vibrations? How about "No Vibrations"?
This shock mount is friggin' awesome. If you have a Rode Podcaster, this is a definite must-have accessory. It used to be that every little bump of the desk or stomping foot on the floor (I have animals and a child) would be transferred to the mic. Now? It's very well isolated from things that go "bump", regardless of the time of day! If you have a Rode Podcaster or other compatible mic, this is an absolute "must have".
Rode ProCaster shock mount
Purchased with Rode ProCaster , to handle and noise that can be heard when handling and or moving around mic, and it dose it's job well no regrets.
Easy to install and a must-have for a sit/stand desk
This went together very easily. I use a desk that I am often standing at, and having this to dampen the movements as I type or move about has helped.
Great Accessory
I was amazed at how much noise traveled from my desk through the boom arm, to the mic. I installed this shock mount for my Rode Podcaster, and it has totally made the noise disappear. Definitely worth getting for your mic.
Great Product!
We received this product in a very timely manner even during this pandemic and we're very happy with it!

Quality Shockmount
I bought this shockmount for my Rode Procaster dynamic mic to prevent any handling noise. It was then attached to the Rode suspension boom. The shockmount is a quality item,, very sturdy, it needs to be as the Rode Procaster weighs in at 1.53 pounds. If you are considering a heavy duty mount I can thoroughly recommend this one.
Sturdy Alternative for the Rode NT1-A
I sought an alternative shock mount to the one with integrated pop filter supplied with the NT1-A. Curiously, Rode downplays this model's compatibility with the NT1-A microphone -- and a Rode customer service rep actually steered me away from it in favor of the SM-R shock mount developed in partnership with Rycote. Rode's literature promotes the PSM1 as compatible (only) with the Procaster and Podcaster microphones.
I'm glad I stuck with my instincts and ordered this PSM1. It's identical to the SM6, minus the pop filter: same spider-web suspension with elastics, sturdy metal construction, screw-in base with integrated nut, and solid clutch knob to adjust the angle from one's microphone boom of choice.
The only slight negative is the unit's weight compared to Rycote and other designs of polymer construction -- but the NT1-A is a relatively light microphone so the overall package isn't burdensome. A great choice for those wishing to stick with the Rode line.
Rode Shock mount (PSM1)
I recently broke my baby blue bottle shock mount tightener screw and my mic was just flopping in the wind. I needed a new mount. The blue replacement mount was WAY too expensive for my taste so I purchased the RODES instead at a much more less costly amount, besides the blue mount screw was plastic (that's how it snapped in the first place) Anywho I DID have to still use part of my baby blue mount inorder to get it going. The mic DID NOT fit the screwing hole. So I took the blue inner part and wired it to the new outter mount part and it's working like a charm. Nice and tight.
Well built
Well Built, sturdy, works well with the Procaster MIC.
Recommend it!
Good quality, not what I was looking for
Really good shock mount, quality is undeniable. However, could not find a review saying it does not work with a "Yeti" mic. Posting for awareness!
Not strong enough to hold RODE mic
Not strong enough to hold the weight of a RODE mic, one of which it's supposedly built for.
