Plenty of Power!

By Ann from Rochester, NY on July 14, 2023 Music Background: Vocalist, guitarist

I've used this for 2 outside gigs, a
medium size gym and a large, lounge/
dining area. It has plenty of power
along side a 3 PC. band and another
vocalist. Bluetooth sometimes cuts out
but I don't really use that feature
when playing out. Light weight. Great value, out-
standing customer support from Sweetwater!

Ordered for several reasons

By Nick Eckhardt from Palatka FL on February 20, 2023

I ordered for the Behringer PK110A PA for several reasons. Our PA at church was found non-operational on a Thursday, and was not repaired until Friday the next week. I volunteered to round up a PA from a church member that announced rodeos, and ended up assisting in connecting in existing mics at church to his PA. We have a Genealogy Society in town that inherited a PA system (runs on 6 C Cells of ac adapter, has built in 9V wireless mic, and about a 4" speaker) that after a quick (and fortunately free) trip to the shop was somewhat helpful. I have always wanted a PA system, but not been able to justify the purchase. These 3 reasons influenced me to pop for my own PA (It didn't hurt that Sweetwater and a well rated and reviewed PK110A on sale as a demo model).
It fills our chapel or cultural hall with sound, and I do not have to rely on another person if it is needed there again. With my miler, I can connect multiple mics to it at church. I have a Ryobi "Power Source" (150-watt inverter, very compact, runs on 18V battery) that will power the PA for several hours, and doesn't seem to notice the square wave 110V power (no discernable noise). It will be available to our Genealogy Society if needed indoors or outdoors.
I have been very pleased with the PK110A, and now have it safely stored in the Gator GPA-Tote10 (I added some fitted foam padding to the tote) and it is much easier to carry and store than loose or in its original box)

Stellar performance in mixed venues. Versatile & powerful speaker.

By Charles from Saratoga Springs NY on September 29, 2021 Music Background: Retired public school music educator/performer

I purchased the Behringer PK110A to provide pre-recorded and streamed music for my daughter's wedding. (I also bought a tripod speaker stand.) The day prior to the event, we used the speaker to play music outdoors while we decorated the venue. The next day the speaker was used outdoors in a pergola/gazebo setting for the ceremony, providing prelude pre-recorded music and the processional. (photo below) This was played from an iPhone connected by Bluetooth. Next, the speaker was moved to the reception location. Here it was outside on the porch of a lodge and the cocktail hour music played from an SD card. After an hour or so, I set it up inside for dining, playing music from the input for a USB drive. Dance music was then streamed via Spotify with a 3.5mm aux cable connection to the Behringer. Extremely versatile piece of equipment!
The PK110A worked flawlessly and sounded great in all locations. It is packed with lots of useful features. I especially liked the built-in digital media player and multiple connection options. It had plenty of power and did not strain or overload in any of the above playback situations. The EQ was easy to adjust so the speaker sounded its best in all locations. Size, portability and straightforward UI was a must as I was doing all the setup and music playback myself. The Behringer powered speaker performed admirably both days and I highly recommend it.

Schweet goodness thanks Sweetwater!

By Mykey Haslip from Joyce Washington on August 13, 2021 Music Background: Over 30 years of Performing live & 25 years running sound.

This lil beast works great! I lined my microphone directly into the unit. The XLR link out goes out to the soundboard. I can adjust my Volume and EQ how I like it and it does not affect the front of house mix. SCHWEET GOODNESS

I bought 2 Pk110A

By Vince on August 12, 2021 Music Background: Keyboard player, gigging regularly

I'm a keyboard player, I couldn't be happier to finally have an affordable stereo amp system for my live gigs. I'm using, (this is important, don't use regular instrument cable, use 1/4 inch to XLR) into these little amps, they are loud clear and easy to EQ, (yes real EQ knobs.) I also like the flash drive player and the bluetooth to play music during breaks. Such a bargain, I'm amazed.

Great after limiting output from mixer.

By Jesse Mathews from St Stephen, MN on March 22, 2024 Music Background: 40+ yrs exp, 1-2 gigs a month.

I bought a second one after I figured them out. Great BT from your device. Great sound from RCAs. Horrible with XLR & 1/4", Terrible distortion. Same with signal from mixer. Then I found a PAD-20 option for my mixers output. Finally they work great with a pair of subs for a small gig.

Nice Sound great product , great price!

A Great room-filling speaker did the trick for my wife's fitness studio to add a little punch to her group workouts. Works great with the 8-inch ceiling speakers she already had installed.

Decent speaker for the price.

By Sweetwater Customer on September 21, 2021

I bought this speaker to use as a small portable monitor. It works fine for that application. It is very easy to overload the input level going into the monitor thus causing distortion. I have to turn the level going from my mixing board to the speaker from unity gain down to -20 dB to keep from overloading the input.

90 WATTS TOTAL DRAW WRITTEN ON BACK

By Sweetwater Customer on July 27, 2021

Nobody reviews this unit.i looked for 6 months for reviews and stock and finally bought 2 when they were in stock.only had them for a week but they are DECENT FOR THE PRICE compared to alternatives.they are fairy loud.havent cranked them wide open.the TOTAL POWER DRAW is written right on the back at 90watts.i took a picture.that doesn't translate into PEAK watts I guess.there is no list to RMS watts....so I assume it is UNDER 90 watts RMS,not counting the power loss from the amp through heat.there is no FM radio feature and using the line in feature for a tuner will not let you use bluetooth to pair a second one for true stereo.using Bluetooth it does pair with a second unit(I bought 2).

Great small PA for the money.

By Sweetwater Customer on June 19, 2021

The 1st one arrived and the woofer wasn't working, but Sweetwater was very good about getting me a new one asap and they covered the shipping cost.
The 2nd one worked well and for the price, it exceeded my expectations. I have a small rehearsal space and this unit has plenty enough power to cut through the other instruments and deliver clear vocals in a fairly loud R&R environment.
One improvement would be a 3rd band of EQ. The unit has 2 band and it's a little limiting. I'm considering looking for an inexpensive EQ to round out the sound... That said, I'm more than happy with this purchase.

Good for the money

By Joseph Tobia from Orlando, FL on January 10, 2024 Music Background: Digital audio engineer

Not the best quality you can get. The sound is not crystal clear but for the price you pay, you get ok quality.
The volume is high. Bluetooth is working fine, keeping in mind that Bluetooth technology itself has some issues.
I bought it as a stage monitor for the church choir, but I think it's good for parties and birthdays.

pretty decent for price

By Aidan Plumley from SOUTH HERO, VT on March 30, 2022 Music Background: ive been blowing up speakers since i was a wee lad

I got this to be used as a work speaker. it was impressive testing it out in my room. sound quality is amazing and was loud in a small quite room. BUT after bringing it to work witch i am grinding all day using bench grinders, die grinders etc. and it couldn't overpower them it started clipping pretty bad trying to keep up. and whenever a banger would come on and people would ask to turn it up i couldnt for it was all the way up:( but im extremely impressed with the customer service best interaction ive had with people in general.

Good and inexpensive choice for a small venue

By Sweetwater Customer on November 7, 2021

This speaker is plenty clean and reasonably powerful. My intention is to use it at a small wedding reception. The room will have less than 100 guests and will be used for dancing and background music. It will also be used with a microphone for announcements.

Read the comments and descriptions and you will figure out it puts out at best about 90 watts even if the speaker can handle more. This is perfectly fine for its intended use and cost. But it is clean and well EQ'd. It doesn't like too much bass. Keep the vocals and lead lines clean.

If you work small venues, busking, smaller churches, or bars and lounges, this will suffice for an electric instrument input, a mike, and aux music from phone or SD/USB. An small unpowered mixer will extend the utility.

I bought with the small speaker stand associated as an accessory. Be aware that item is just a bit snug, but will work with some effort.

Shipping was insanely fast.

Does what I need

By Sweetwater Customer on October 29, 2021

The build quality seems pretty good, and the sound is ok - a little boom-y and not super-defined. Doesn't hiss or hum. But it is nowhere near 320 watts RMS output. 30 watts, maybe, on a good day. It produces a decent volume for a small to medium room, don't get me wrong, but it is not going to blow you away.

Poor quality for music

By BeeBee from NJ on March 22, 2024

Great value feature wise but is really bad for music. This is only good as PA voice speaker

1 is good, the other is terrible

By Sweetwater Customer on March 3, 2024 Music Background: DJ/Music producer

So I first bought one of the speakers back in March '23 to use a wedding ceremony / cocktail hour speaker. This speaker performed as expected according to the specifications. The Bluetooth capability is sufficient and the output for my purpose worked great. I received complements from wedding guests on the audio quality and overall look.
Now, fast forward to September '23, I wanted another speaker to complete a small PA system to use for soft music and announcing for a local art gala. When testing the system I noticed the new speaker sounded tinny and lacked richness. I attributed it to a faulty cable, so I swapped out the cables and realized the sound quality was still terrible. I'm unsure what is wrong with the speaker, but it's unusable. I'm very disappointed as, I've been more than happy with the first speaker I've used. I'm unsure if theres still a warranty, but it's a pain in the neck to deal with having to send something like this back for a replacement.
