Customer Service Excellence

By John from NJ on February 20, 2024

It's been a long time since I received customer service like this. I ordered a speaker and then a day later I see Sweetwater is calling me and I'm thinking oh great, what is wrong.
The rep. on the phone just wanted to let know my order was being shipped and if i had any questions or if I had an interesting in anything else. He was very informative and you don't get this anymore. Everything is automated phone calls or you can't understand the person on the phone. This was PERFECTION! A+++++++++

Big sound

By Dylan Lyewski from Marquette, MI on December 29, 2023 Music Background: 19 years of live experience

I bought this when I landed a recurring gig at a venue that didn't usually have live music so an in house PA wasn't an option. I purchased this and was insanely impressed, for the size of the speaker I didn't know what to expect but The sound is huge! I turn it to less than halfway and could only imagine if I cranked it higher! I plan to buy a second soon to have a set of them!

Behringer PK108A

It does what we want it to, Highly recommend it for those who want an affordable small powered speaker.

Great sounding PA speakers

By Dick Mayborn from Inglis, FL on February 7, 2023 Music Background: Music teacher

I mostly do small gigs so I only need small stuff to add to my gear, and that's when I come to these two powered speakers.
They are so light and easy to carry, but at the same time with a big sound, and I mean from the high to the low range.
Behringer has been around for a long long time and always had great prices on all their products, and I guess that sometimes they have been like a second class brand. But never the less, Behringer have never disappointing me during all my gigs with Behringer.
I have had many many different brands and many many PA in my life.
But now ( as a retired music teacher), I need small stuff to carry and still good sounding things, so, these small PA speakers is really really great and I can highly recommend them to solo troubadours or maybe duos.

Perfect for small gigs

By Sweetwater Customer on February 3, 2022

Compact, lightweight and enough wattage for my small gigs. Solidly built. Very happy with purchase and great value for the money.

Perfect for Group Fitness Instructors!

By Kwiyoung from North Carolina on September 2, 2021 Music Background: Certified Group Fitness Instructor

With a mixer built into the speaker, I can bluetooth music and plug in my Shure mic set to amplify my voice over the music. These days many gyms and fitness centers are short-staffed and it seems audio/music is not a priority when it breaks. This speaker is strong enough for me to handle a class of 6-10 given social distancing and covid restrictions. It's plenty loud and exciting! It can work with up to 20 people in a medium sized fitness room. It's totally worth the price to have a backup music system on-the-go for anywhere I teach!

Amazing, extremely portable powered speaker

By Michael from NYC on August 7, 2021 Music Background: DJ

This speaker is amazing. I paired it with the PK108 passive version to have a cheap, portable sound system for DJing friends' parties and the sound is incredible. I've often used this speaker by itself when I needed an extremely portable set-up.

An absolute steal & Behringer nailed it with this design. Highly recommend this speaker, particularly if you need something extremely simple, portable, and cost effective. If simplicity and portability are not top priorities, I would recommend using the passive versions with a separate amp instead of the active version for maximum volume, modularity, & flexibility, but this thing is no slouch by itself. And it comes in a bunch of sizes, so you can pick exactly what you need.

Great Speaker But...

By George Sawyn from Sturgeon Bay, WI on September 26, 2023

I bought two of these Behringer powered speakers, and they are working very well; very happy with this purchase.
Sound quality is very good, and more than adequate power for my needs. They even managed to fit well into the bag I was using for my old sound system.
2 gripes, which don't really affect my usage of these speakers, but should be mentioned:
1) The description states that "this sweet speaker even comes with built-in top and side handles"... There is no side handle. This is now the 2nd purchase I've made from Sweetwater in which the description is in error.
2) The whole Bluetooth thing with these speakers... I believe I know how to read and follow instructions, but it does not work as described. One feature, which I was able to get to work, sort of, is to connect a phone or tablet containing some music files, and play them through the speaker. Another feature, which was plugging in an SD card or USB Flash Drive with music on it, then connecting one PK108A to another via Bluetooth and having them play in stereo... never managed to get this to work.
But as I said previously, neither of these things affect my usage of the speakers, and they are working out just fine. Very good speakers, at a rather unbelievable price...

Really nice little unit

By Tim Massey from Hiawassee, GA on January 7, 2022 Music Background: Sound Tech

It works very well. Plugged in a tablet and played through it using a Rapco LTIblox and it played very well. Tried out the USB slot and that worked nicely as well. Haven't used the output yet to see how well it blends with other units, hence the half star. If that works as well as the rest of it, I'll bump the rating.
Thanks to Sweetwater for the prompt shipment and the package was well packed.

Great Value

By Sweetwater Customer on January 7, 2022

I use this mainly with a Beat Buddy drum machine in my acoustic band. Plenty of power and projection. I also occasionally use the Bluetooth feature to play iTunes during breaks. To me, this speaker is a great value. I've not tried it with a mic or instrument, but I suppose it would work fine for that although there's no reverb for vocals. For my purpose it's perfect.

Awesome Speaker

By Sparky from Alabama on October 17, 2023 Music Background: I play around.

This is a fine little speaker to use as a living room PA direct with a mic. It has a pretty small footprint but packs a lot of sound. Its not going to compete with a big cabinet but its great for me to practice vocals with so I don't have to run the mic through the guitar amp. It has some great blue tooth features as well for when I get tired of playing and switch over to MP3 music on my phone. It can also play direct from a USB stick or an SD card.

Poolside Speaker

By Alan Rausch from Eastern Shore Maryland on September 2, 2022 Music Background: Bluegrass/Acoustic and Sound

I have owned Behringer gear in the past for my bluegrass band, I have never had an issue with most of it. I have a trailer full of high end gear now. I bought this so my wife can use bluetooth from her phone and listen to music when in the pool. It is good for that, I did not want anything bigger or more watts. I gave it 4 stars because it could use a mid-range eq, but if you lower bass and raise highs, it is acceptable.

Great quality for the price

By Quincy Follweiler from Maryville TN on December 29, 2021 Music Background: Musician and engineer

This little beast is pretty good for the size. It gets loud and was fairly easy to set up. I bought it to pair with the passive version. I wanted a small monitor solution for a small pa set up. These are intended to be used as a stand alone and this speaker powers the passive speaker. The Bluetooth function is great and was easy to pair with my phone. They are intended to be placed on standard speaker stands. However, I wanted to use them on the floor like a small stage monitor. They are really not shaped in a way to use that way. they keep rolling and so I had to place something underneath to hold in place. Other than that, they worked great! Built sturdy and are beefy little speakers. Good deal.

No Don’t Do It

By tim meyer from eustace, TX on March 19, 2022

This is at best a garage band speaker. No depth, no power no way. Save up a couple of bucks more and buy a JBL, EV or QSC. Skip this purchase completely.
