Music Man's StingRay 40th Anniversary "Old Smoothie" electric bass is built to be an exact re-creation of a prototype of what would become one of the most in-demand bass guitar designs in modern history. All of the StingRay's rounded lines, 3 x 1 tuner configuration, and egg-shaped pickguard are on full display. And the classic tonewoods of the alder body and roasted maple neck and fingerboard with rear-mounted truss rod help deliver the sound and feel that so many bassists have adopted as their own.
