Cute lil beast.

By Joel from Paulding, Ohio on March 26, 2024 Music Background: Novice Explorer

I am enjoying playing around with this dude and all it's snazzy features. Really dig being able to hook to my PC and add/change different effects to create my owns sounds then upload directly to the amp. Very cool. I'm just getting started with guitar and am glad my Sweetwater rep recommended this. The versatility of sound when starting is encouraging to explore styles. Also, super light weight and ready to go out the box!

Love this thing

It has any sound you could ever dream of and you can create your own. Wish I had bought it sooner

Great amp

By Robert Leach from woodbine, KY on February 26, 2024

This thing is perfect I'm using it as a practice amp and it gets plenty loud enough i would say you could definitely use this with a drummer however I don't do that so not sure all the effects get rid of the need for most pedals.

LT-25 Amp review

By Paul Bone from GA on February 23, 2024 Music Background: Not professional..but LONG time player

I'm tech illiterate...More can be done with this little amp than I'll ever comprehend. Have jammed out twice ..using it and it sounds great.
The 1 thing i don't like is the cord to get power is too short and detachable. A friend has one similar and after a years use , plugging cord in the back doesn't make a good connection.

Nice. Glad I chose this model.

By Mike from CO on February 22, 2024 Music Background: Beginning my guitar adventure at 65 to fill my retirement time

Simple to use. Fits well in my little home studio. Love the sound and alot of the digital preset selections are right up my alley. Looking forward to getting it all dialed in.

Mustang

By Danny O'Connor from Elgin MN on February 19, 2024

Purchased the Mustang for my Fender Tele…I absolutely love the Amp! Great sound and haven't even made it through all the different settings yet! Love the built in tuner…so easy! Another great buying experience through Sweetwater!

Surprisingly Good Tones

By Daniel Hoehne from Metamora, IL on February 7, 2024 Music Background: I play music simply for the joy and love of playing.

Another rock salad purchased from Sweetwater without any hiccups or hang ups as always , a superior customer experience . This was the first small modeling amp I have owned. At the price point, I had managed my expectations and assumed it would be a decent little amp for practicing and small room jamming. My Marshalls just too stinking loud for anything other than live although it records wonderfully. Following the lead of some other reviewers, I didn't bother with instructions, then again I am a guy. Within 10 minutes I had figured out the entire system and Trust me, Electronics aren't my thing. Super simple. Really solid sounds particularly at this price point. Well constructed, small footprint, for $, it's hard to imagine it's this nice. So many choices out there, glad I picked this one. Oh yeah, by the way, it'll go louder than heck if you want.. probably loud enough to get you evicted if that's your goal LOL. Peace, and remember, dig it while it's happening.

Killer little combo amp!

By Joshua Spradlin from Springfield, IL on January 18, 2024

Got this to accompany a guitar I bought for my son for Xmas. It's a fantastic little bugger! tons of modeling options built in and just as many spots to program your own settings! More than a great price point as well. Well done Fender!

Terrific small gigging amp

By Vince from Bluefield WV on January 9, 2024 Music Background: Pro player and professor of music.

Being a pro player for 50 years and playing vintage archtop instruments I demand the best quality sound in a small light package. TheLT25 can be dialed in to a rich and full jazz sound appropriate for a trio gig as well as my steady solo gig at the world famous Greenbrier Resort. Amazing portability and power at an amazing price point.

Well Worth The Money !

By Jeffrey Osgood on January 4, 2024 Music Background: Over 51 years playing experience.

I'm pushing 65 and last year, I suffered a stroke which kept me away from playing for a year . I had sold all of my gear when that happened because I never thought I would play again .Well over a month ago, I was able to come back so, I went and bought my self a new, Squier CV 50s Strat and I was given a used, Crate XT-65R. Well a few days ago, the Crate went on me, so I went and bought this tone monster . Seeing that I do not gig anymore but I still love playing, this 25 watt combo is perfect for me. The presets on it are great and, you can adjust them to your liking, and also , have another 30 to modify to your own personal sound. I've heard that if you get the Fender Firmware , that you can also find more to choose from. Well I'm not tech savvy so , I'm content with what is on the amp for now, although I may change my mind down the line and get a USB cable for it so I can plug into my desktop and see all of the other great features !

Perfect Gig Amp

By johnlatch from Texas on November 10, 2023 Music Background: I play

In this modern(?) age of advanced technology and "less is more"; this little power horse really fits the bill for me.

The amp simulations are spot on, as are the effects. At 76, lugging around a Twin or a Marshall is out of the question.

I can easily pack guitars and this amp, along with my Shure 57 mic, and I'm ready to play.

The quality and dependability are second to none.

A five-star rating is minimal; I would give it at least a six!

Great Amp

By Sweetwater Customer on October 17, 2023

Great Little Amp

By Richard E from Georgetown, TX on October 10, 2023 Music Background: Guitarist, singer, songwriter.

Treated myself to a 70th birthday gift, my first amp purchase in over 25 years. I have a Bill M modded Blues Jr. for my grab and go amp, but I like the Mustang because of the onboard effects. A guitar, an amp, and a cord and I'm out the door. Nice.
I have checked out the Fender Tone app for the Mustang, and it was easy to use, even for an old buzzard like myself. I was able to load up the 30 empty slots in no time.

The amp has impressed, as I am a songwriter, noodling with any of the voices lets me get creative. The ease with which I can modify the voice's pedals is great. Loud enough for small group gatherings, even with drums. Many usable voices. This amp is a must for beginners and perfect for seasoned players, as well. Fender hit this one out of the park!!!

Kudos to Mr. Logan Ashman, my Sweetwater rep for his great support.

Great Starter

By James Leady from GODFREY, IL on September 15, 2023

Bought this for my son when he was first learning guitar. This was a great modeling amp/speaker starter for the price.

He now uses this one to drag his guitar and amp to school when he wants to play for his classes.

We still have it, and it's a great traveling unit.

Anthony Giraldi is my sales rep and continues to assist me with recommendations.

Amazing Small Amp

It's been a great amp so far. A worthy investment for my basement or garage

Sacrificial Lamb became 1st Prize Ram

By Alan Schreiber Schreiber from SEGUIN, TX on September 1, 2023

I was looking for a decent amp to modify and use with a LARGE homemade cabinet built from speakers salvaged from some old Theater organs. Knowing I was voiding the warranty by rewiring the amp I did not want to spend too much in case my experiment failed. Suffice to say all came out very well indeed. This amp delivered plenty of raw power to the cabinet, as my rural area neighbors can attest! The preset modelings included are amazingly accurate and I find I hardly need to mess with the gain or tone controls at all - just plug, choose a voice, and play. Switching back and forth from internal to external speaker is now easy and tones carry over well to the externals. The auxilliary input works great as well, with volume control set by connected device. Certainly more than a "practice" amp. Would be a great easy to transport small venue or even outdoor jam amp. Did I mention my nearest neighbor is a half-mile away through the woodline? This little lightweight amp is rapidly becoming the only amp I leave plugged in in my studio. Portability GREAT. Volume VERY NICE. Price GREAT. Sound AMAZING!

Just what I wanted

By Sweetwater Customer on June 30, 2023

The Mustang LT25 has everything I wanted and more. Plenty of presets, ability to change them and make your own, plenty of volume at 25 watts. Still figuring it all out but it sounds great. Im also glad it doesn't have alot of features i wont ever use. Great amp at a great price!

Easy recommendation for a beginner.

By Kevin Sondersonn from Milquetoast, IL on June 19, 2023 Music Background: I play them there git-fiddles, I reckon.

The Mustang LT25 is the kind of amp that I wish had been available when I started playing. In those days, there were real amps (large, expensive, heavy, and tubed), and there were "practice amps" (tiny, tinny, cheap, solid state and ready to remind you of that with every note you coaxed out of your budget Strat copy with your dainty little uncalloused fingers).

More than other players, a beginner might not know what sound they want. Or maybe they do, and the awful practice amp with the one crappy, buzzy, awful tone they can scrape out of it isn't quite cutting it. An amp like the LT25 gives them many more chances to find a sound they like, so it models a lot of Fenders, Marshalls, Vox, etc., plus dirt boxes and effects. Does it sound like the great amps it tries to emulate? Not exactly, but what amp does at this price?

The little color LCD screen isn't bad. It's functional enough that it lets you do almost everything you can do with this amp, without connecting it to a computer. You can connect it to a computer over USB and edit the patches with the Fender Tone desktop app, which is cool, but it doesn't have Bluetooth or work with any mobile apps that I know of.

It may irk some people that it looks more like a high-end Bluetooth speaker than a Fender guitar amp, but maybe for that reason it might be less likely to get kicked out of the living room if you slyly left it under an end table after a weekend jam session.

It's a closed-back cabinet with just a simple AC mains power jack on the back -- no effects loop, no extension cab jack, no MIDI, no balanced cabinet-emulated line out. I'm guessing the sealed cab helps it sound a bit bassier than many other amps its size. Frankly, it sounds bigger and more expensive than it is. Some of the patches can sound muddy and indistinct from one another, and higher levels of gain really make it lack for definition. It sounds very good when it's used to model clean (and clean-ish) Fender amps. It offers a surprising amount of flexibility in the pedals and effects it models; you get way more adjustment, and better tones, out of them and I ever would have expected for the money.

There are good reasons why it sells so well. You can spend less and get a lot worse, even in today's market, and of course you can spend more and get a better amp, but I don't think there's another new amp on the market right now in this price range that does as much as the LT25, as well as it does it. It's not the last word in amp modeling, by a long shot, but it covers enough territory, and without pedals (digital pedals are built in), that it could serve someone for a long time before they would really need something more. It's a great amp for a beginner or someone who wants a small amp for a second room, a teaching room, something like that.

Perfect for practicing at home

By Sweetwater Customer on May 19, 2023

This thing has so many settings, and it is so easy to use. If you want a fun, easy to use amp at home that wont break the bank this is it. You will never get bored of this thing, I highly recommend

Great little amp

By Joshua from Holden beach, NC on May 19, 2023

The sound of this amp is great! Really surprised me. I mainly play clean with reverb and light overdrive and but the effects are really great for what they are. It is prefect for a small practice space, it's sounds very impressive at low volumes. The Princeton setting with just the spring reverb turned on is the best sound I've had from it for my tastes. Apparently it makes a great cat bed also, my cat would rather lay on this than anything in the house.

Best Amp All-Around

By Gilon Kraft from BAY CITY, TX on May 18, 2023

Altogether I am exceptionally pleased with this amp. I am hard-pressed to think of anything thing else that a guitarist would need besides this amp, a guitar, a cable, and some picks. This amp is a jack of all trades, allowing the user to experiment with an immense range of high-quality tones. With the spin if a dial, one can go from smooth jazz tones to metal distortion sounds without the need of pedals. All the factory presets are quite good, and it is easy to create and customize one's own presets using the amp or with the Fender Tone app. And the tones that one can create are excellent and convincing; although I may not have the most refined ears, I believe that this amp could yield album-worthy results. In addition to the tonal possibilities, the amp feels solid and well-constructed. Altogether, I think that this amp is really a home-run for Fender and I can see why it is so popular. As my first amp, although I had used others either in-store or borrowing from friends, I am very pleased.

The perfect practice amp

By Sweetwater Customer on April 17, 2023

I used to work for one of those big conglomerate guitar companies. You know the one with the big red guitar logo.
I would sell these things like hotcakes to kids just learning how to play the guitar. Our cheapest amps we're about 100 dollars and very basic in tone just a clean and a dirty channel nothing too exciting about them. I would tell parents and the kids the extra 60 dollars was so worth it for multiple reasons. The young artist will never get board because once they do, turn the dial and you have a whole new tone to mess around with. It really would allow them to find there own style and try the world of effects for way cheaper than buying 20 100 dollar pedals. You do the math. I'm a musician I'm not going too. I never owned one because I have my own big overkill tube amps for stage and for studio but I just moved into a small apartment and have been thinking about getting a practice amp for home that I can plug my phone into some headphones into and play along to songs that I'm learning. Plus with this one I can use the presets to dial in the tone of the songs better without having to hook up a bunch of pedals in my apartment. Save that for the studio. Anyways it's a great amp for beginners or more seasoned musicians who just need a little bedroom amp to jam with and help them unwind

Perfect Practice Amp

By Pete from Mechanicsburg, PA on March 9, 2023 Music Background: More than four decades of guitar playing...

I wanted a small amp to practice in the bedroom, and I'm very happy with this great little amp. The clean tone that comes default is lovely, and if I want to play around with a wide array of sounds I can just spin the knob and have my choice of 30 tasty presents. I also dabbled with creating my own original tone online and it easily downloaded by USB to the amp. A great value for the money.

I’m all smiles!

By Jim S. from Fort Collins, Colorado on January 26, 2023 Music Background: 60 years of keys and strings.

Too much fun at an incredibly low price.
Being totally realistic as to it's design and purpose, this amp delivers big time. I just can't get past how much you get for your dollar. Fender truly packed a lot into this little monster. Check out all the YouTube demos, then grab one for yourself. I couldn't be more satisfied!

Great Beginner Amp

By Sweetwater Customer on January 19, 2023

This amp is awesome for the beginner. I have another amp and spend alot of time turning knobs trying to get a good sound or a certain kind of sound. This amp comes with 30 pre-set sounds. All you have to do is turn one knob and you get a completely different sound. Clean sounds, dirty sounds, vintage sounds, jazz, country, etc. And Sweetwater has been awesome. Customer service and communication is the best. You immediately receive communications from them after your order letting you know status of the order and shipping. My product was shipped same day and received it in like 3 days.

Getting back in.

By Bob B from Marseilles il on January 4, 2023 Music Background: Getting back in after almost 40yrs

I played in my teens though early 20's so almost 40yrs ago. Then I had an electric guitar from Kmart and a Rickenbacker amp. It was so cool. Now I'm less cool with more money. I bought a Les Paul Standard and this amp. All I can say is absolutely incredible!!! The sound and quality of the Les Paul and this being only a practice/beginner amp. Is more than I could ever imagine. The guitar even though expensive is worth every penny and then some. The amp I just wanted a cheap one to just started again. The only thing cheap about this amp is the price, I couldn't have possibly picked a better fit even if I knew what I was looking for. Only one week back playing and some chords and rifs are already becoming comfortable again. I think this old dog can do some new tricks.
Bob B.

Love it!

By Conner Ditmer from Washington Township, OH on December 21, 2022 Music Background: Beginner

Great First Amp

By Callie from CO on December 16, 2022 Music Background: Beginner guitarist

This is my first amp and as a beginner guitarist it has everything I need. Initial set up is as easy as pulling it out of the box and plugging it in.

The built in presets all sound amazing and are easy to switch between, if you arent super techy and dont want to fiddle with the online fender tone aspect of it all the provided presets are enough to give you just about any tone you could want.

It gets pretty loud for its size I dont think Ive cranked it higher than 1/2 way in respect for my neighbors. The headphone jack is also great because it always me to play silently into the night without disturbing those around me.

Its super light as well and has a handle on the top of the amp so its easy to move around. It seems pretty durable, I obviously havent gone kicking it off a stage or anything but it should withstand a curious puppy or rambunctious child tripping over it a few times.

Overall its a great option that doesnt break the bank if you just need something a little more travel friendly or are a first time player like me. My favorite thing about it is how many sound options it has laid out built in or online because I didn't immediately have to dump $1000 on pedals to get the sound that I wanted.

(For reference I've been playing my Ibanez Gio GRX70QA with this amp just attached by a Fender original series 10ft cable)

Great Sound, Small Package!

By Sweetwater Customer on December 13, 2022 Music Background: Enthusiastic Novice

This little Amp out punches it's weight class. You get a lot of power from the 8" speaker. But, for someone who has to "keep it down" at home, I find that the 30+ presets, all of which can be customized , are a Ton of Fun! Great value for a Great product.

Lt25 Fender Mustang amp

By Cecil White from Turkey , Texas on December 9, 2022 Music Background: Played in Branson for many years. Also played in Nashville . I was also in the Wrangler Star Search contest and performed in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry . Song writer and studio musician .

I was very pleased with this amp the first time I turned it on. The salesman said it would be too small for a dinner gig. WRONG!! It was plenty loud and sounded bigger than it is. I have been playing guitar for 65 years and still stay busy. Most of my gigs now are small dinner and coffee gigs. I needed a light amp too carry upstairs where I play for a dinner club. This one is the real thing. I still have larger and more powerful amps for big gigs, but this one work great for small places.

Convenient

By Sweetwater Customer on December 5, 2022

I gave it 5 stars for what it is - small, light, easily transported, and not too complicated. Great for practice at home or to take to a friend's house for a little get-together/practice jam.

Lots of features, great sound

By Phil G from New York City on November 4, 2022 Music Background: Baby Novice

This amp seems like more than enough for a beginner such as me. Great sound, and the presets are fun to play with even if I don't much know what I'm doing. This unit is exponentially better than the 10-watt Squier amp I got as part of my Fender starter package, yet costs only $ more.

Very satisfied with the purchase, though it has been only a few weeks.

Amazing tone at an incredibly affordable price!!

By Chad Cross from Madison, WI on October 21, 2022 Music Background: Live and Studio Session Musician, Songwriter, Producer

A few weeks back I ordered this Fender Mustang LT25 guitar amp for home studio recording and for late night jamming with headphones. As with many of my purchases from Sweetwater, it arrived at my door in 1 day. How do they do that? After putting this amp through it's paces for over two weeks I am still beyond impressed! Plenty of built in options, amazing tone, very easy to use and surprisingly not heavy at all. Fender has really made a great amp here. I am so very impressed that I just ordered (from Sweetwater of course) a Fender Mustang LT50 to gig with. If you have been looking for a modeling amp with amazing tone that employs a very intuitive user interface and is easy on the back, search no further...This is the amp for you.

Great Amp!

By Chuck from Ponca City, Oklahoma on October 19, 2022 Music Background: Hobbyist

Gets pretty loud for a 25watt amp. Very easy to use, had this less than a week and already dialed in one of my own tones and named it. Needless to say I'm having fun with this amp. Have not hooked it up to the computer yet and not sure if I will.
It's built pretty good. I would recommend this amp to any skill level.

By gary flowers from webb city, MO on July 13, 2022

just got it but immediate first impression is this thing is awesome. tons of amps and effects. super easy to navigate the led screen and customize presets.

will hook up to my pc later and see what this fully offers but even without recording and pc support it's already worth the $150

sound wise, it's a practice amp. it's loud enough and the quality is great for a practice amp but if you have unrealistic expectations, like this will give you the true sound of the stacks and pedals it's emulating then spend a couple grand and get the real thing.

Great Beginner's Amp!

By CassTeach from Montana on May 9, 2022 Music Background: Started singing and playing the French Horn at a younger age; however, I am now in the process of learning the electric guitar and keyboard - it's been grand!

I have been really enjoying this beginner's amp! The effects are cool, I can easily use the Fender app on my laptop to do what I can do with its buttons on it, and it is loud!! My mom loves Heavy Metal music, but she even suggested that I play in our garage because of the intense volume haha. There is no doubt that when I am ready, it will be loud enough to use at small gigs. Very happy with this amp!

Thoughts on my new Fender Mustang Lt25

By Walter Campbell from Anderson, IN on May 5, 2022 Music Background: Just and old picker and fiddler.

Just got my new Fender Mustang Lt25 amp today and couldn't be happier. Although I'm a senior, I have no problems with the instructions.
The amp has plenty of power for my use. Playing by myself or with some of the guys, it will be more than enough and I love all the effects. Heck, I don't need to add any. It's not as nostalgic as the champion but, I think that it still looks great. As usual, it got here in no time at all and with candy to placate my wife. Let's face it, it's a guy thing and they wouldn't understand, lol. Thanks again Sweetwater! You guys ROCK!

Great little practice amp - Fender Mustang LT25

By Jim from Carrollton, TX on April 21, 2022 Music Background: Independent, non-gigging musician in his sunset years

Keeping in mind the purpose of this amp is as a practice amp, I have to say I am blown away. I never expected this much in this small a package!

The 8" speaker in this small amp sounds great and 25 watts is way more than I'll used in my apartment. Very solidly built cabinet. I like the fact that this one has a headphone jack (so many seem to be getting away from that) to allow for play/practice at any time of the night or day. I also have this set up using my wireless system since I don't like messing with cables any more than I have to do so.

The knobs are good sized and easy to turn. The built-in effects are great and I like that it has additional space in the preset area so that you can add your own personal presets. (Note: It would be nice to have an EQ pedal in the presets, but still not bad.). Other than the EQ pedal comment, this has more than enough capability for those times when I don't want to drag out a bigger amp and go through the hassle of setting it up along with my pedal board (which, again, is hard to do in an apartment).

Kudos to Fender for an amazing product and I will get a lot of use out of it. Thanks to Jason at Sweetwater for getting this shipped out to me so quickly. I always get great service from him and this time was no exception.

(Yes, I will be recommending this to my family and friends... may even be buying one for grandson for his birthday later this year... Oh yeah!)

I play a Viper electric violin and this amp rocks. the building of presets is easy, and the modifications are fast and simple. this amp sounds great with my Viper electric violin. plenty of power at 25 watts, but if you need more the next model up is the 50. So all you electric violinist, go get yourself a this GREAT amp. you won't be sorry.

Bought for a 12 year old grandson and now I want one!

Exactly what I wanted!

By Matthew Kennedy from Virginia lowland on August 25, 2021 Music Background: Decent banjo picker, getting there with the guitar.

Initially purchased the Marshall MG15GFX because I didn't know any better. Turns out it wasn't what I wanted at all. I returned it for this little Mustang which is everything I was looking for and more! I'm an old beginner coming from the banjo and just play in the bedroom or the back porch and this thing is loud enough to make the old lady complain. It sounds great to me and there are more combinations of amps and effects than I know what to do with.
It's light as a feather too!
Sweetwater made my return easy, shout out to Yuval for putting up with me!

Good step up.

Great little practice amp

By Pete from Mechanicburg on August 13, 2021 Music Background: Was paid to play guitar, so does that make me a professional?

Yes, it's only 25 watts, but you'll be surprised by its full sound. It's very light, too, so you can carry it from room to room, wherever you want to practice. It comes with 30 preset amp sounds, +30 more online, and each of the sounds is customizable without too much fuss. With just a few minutes to learn, I was making my own amp models and pedal configurations. You will need a USB mini cable, and don't forget that the full manual is online as a PDF. I can't believe how much is packed into this amp, and for $... Fender has really done things right. If you want a great amp for a beginner, or just a versatile one for practice, this is perfect.

Made a believer of me!

By John Latiolais from Houston, TX on July 23, 2021 Music Background: 50+ years

To say I was skeptical of purchasing a non-tube, modeling amp; was an understatement. I've used a Fender Champ amp and a Boss GT-1 multi-effects pedal with my electrics for years.

But I wanted try try & find a small amp, with amp modeling and effects, that didn't sound cheap & "cheesy".

I have found it in this amp!

It has 30 presets, plus 20 more you can create; through the amp itself, or using the Fendertone app.

The amp models include no less than 7 Fender amps, plus English, metal, super metal amp models; that can all be customized to your own tone needs. The editing is VERY user friendly; an hour after receiving it, I was creating custom patches for my Strat, Tele, and 335 type guitars.

And they sound like plugging into the actual amp!

The effects are also realistic, and not at all "cheesy"

All in all, I am VERY satisfied with this amp, and gladly recommend it for practice, studio, and live performance.

I have retired my Fender Champ amp, after purchasing this amp. I use it live, with a mic in front of it.

I love my little Fender Mustang LT25

By Matt from Los Angeles area on June 27, 2021 Music Background: Beginner

Please note I am neither pro musician nor audiophile, but for a beginner, this amp seems awesomely great! It packs tons of tech, but is very easy to use. It is solid, well-crafted, and of course has that classic Fender look. The variety of sounds this can produce (and customize) is amazing - a whole sonic universe to explore (again, especially from a beginner's perspective). Much thought was given to the product and it certainly benefits from Fender's huge knowledge of amps, and their storied evolution, etc. With USB, headphones… It has what you need, and tons more for a beginner - but again it is simple to use. I Haven't even downloaded or used the software part, "Fender Tone", but suspect there is much more fun to be had there too. With Guitar, mic, PC/DAW and this amp- you have an awesome beginner's studio. It's simple, straightforward and ridiculously inexpensive. This is going to be fun. (another note - I have not been through every single function of the amp, but assuming everything works fine - will update the review if this is not the case.)

Thanks, Fender! Congrats to your whole team on this great product. You're a super-cool brand, such a part of history. (I'm keeping the part of the cardboard box with the "Fender" logo -if that tells you anything.)

Thanks too of course to Sweetwater - why buy anything they stock anywhere else? (to modify their slogan) Great company, excellent service in my experience.

What more could you want in a low cost amp?

By Sweetwater Customer on May 26, 2021

I can't figure out why anyone would buy any other amp at this price level. Aside from having all the basic features you could want, including inputs and outputs, it also has 30 cool presets and solid sound. The digital interface is hands-down the best - super easy to use and the display is sharp and bright. I played around with several other amps when shopping for my daughter's first amp - and no other option came even close.

This one goes to 11!

By Brendan from Somewhere USA on May 10, 2021 Music Background: Terrible but trying

I would give this amp 11 stars if I could. It is the perfect amp for my level of play, which can only be described as low! When I say low, I mean someone who has never even picked up a guitar, and who is completely tone deaf, are like guitar gods compared to me, but I'm getting off subject. The amp comes with 30 preset effects that allow even the worst player sounds passable. You can also create and save a number of effects. It is light and small enough to pack away, but loud enough to annoy the most patient of girl friends. I definitely recommend for beginners and experienced player alike.

Great Amp for Home

By Joe from Louisville, KY on May 6, 2021 Music Background: 30-year player

I purchased this amp for a young family member (and new guitarist) to use at home. It replaced an attenuated 4-watt Vox. This Fender amp sounds great and has a lot of flexibility for home use. The headphone jack is a nice feature for quiet practice. We have not yet created any custom channels nor tweaked any of the presets; the "stock" sounds are great for where our little player is at this stage. The on-board tuner is a nice feature. I am very happy with this purchase and impressed with the delivery time (it arrived a day ahead of schedule).

Perfect for what I needed

By Chuck from US on February 3, 2021 Music Background: Perpetual beginner; basement noise maker

I called and spoke with Riley to determine if I should get this or the LT50, or maybe something different. We discussed that I only intend to make enough noise to irritate my family from the basement and we decided that this amp would be the most useful for my tastes, needs, and (lack of) skill level.
The customer service was perfect.
The amp sounded so much better than the ancient keyboard amp I was playing through, and the huge array of different tones that the thing can mimic is almost - but not quite - overwhelming.
Download the Fender Tone *DESKTOP* application and connect it with a USB cable to a PC and the ability to edit and change things is right there in a pretty easy to understand format. The jog dial on the top of the amp works well, too - but the PC application has more space to visualize what you're working with.
I would suggest getting a footswitch - (099-4049-000 does the job as well as the recommended one, but is cheaper)
The only weakness I see for this little amp is that the tones you can download for the larger brethren (The GTX series) aren't the same as for this one.
For the price, though - the youtube reviews are right - this is a really cool little amp that makes enough noise for the house and learning to make slightly less unpleasant noises with your guitar.

Fender Mustang LT 25 Amp

By John Casey from Cape Elizabeth, Maine on January 23, 2021 Music Background: Zilch....other than a lifelong love of music!

Keep in mind I am a mere 64 yr old struggling, beginner....I can only strum a few chords and am just trying to figure this whole thing out.....I have been practicing strictly with an acoustic but have always had an affinity for electric guitars and those who make them sing. I purchased a similar Fender amp model for my son when he moved to a small apartment in Boston in 2012 and couldn't use his bigger ones....he still has it and uses it today. Well he is now into buying cheaper electric guitars gutting the electronics and replacing them with ones of higher quality. For X-Mas he gave me a mock Fender Telecaster with new pick ups, volume, tune controls etc. Thus, I had to have an amp to make it work....I love excuses! Again, I am simply a beginner and this amp has more stuff (presets) than I will probably ever progress to or use......sounds great and is more than I need. My son, on the other hand, can play quite well and he still uses his all the time. A lot of bang for the buck. The followup/outreach of your company and representatives (phone calls, e-mails) has been outstanding...it is really clear you want your customers to be happy. Now if I can just make sense of that fretboard....!!!!!!!!!

Lots of cool presets that are very easy to customize. Price is very affordable for what you are actually getting. As of now, I don't have any negatives.

It's a great amp. Period.

By Matt from Durham, NC on September 23, 2020

This isn't a great amp "for beginners." It's not a great amp "for the price." It's just a great amp. If you can't get a sound you like out of this amp, it's you. It's not the amp.

If only I had 25 hours in a day to play on this thing.

By Sweetwater Customer from WV on September 3, 2020

Great little amp, although I have my doubts about the effects and settings sounding as nice through the speaker as they do through headphones or plugged into my computer. I love having a slew of amp models to choose from. The Fender Deluxe and Bassman are my current favorites. Lots of fun running through the myriad combinations of settings, and they're all fantastic. I can manage to get some Tele style twang out of my HSH setup. The only minor complaint is the tuner doesn't pick up the B and E strings very well. Maybe it's a string gauge thing? But I'm currently using Regular Slinkys. Sweetwater was great. Got it to me in less than 24 hours!

Super tone and value

By Howie on August 23, 2020 Music Background: Long-time chord hacker and primary drummer

I bought this as a bedroom practice amp to replace one that went on the fritz. I didn't want a stream of peddles to clutter up the room, so the built-in effects made sense. And my last fender amp perform well. This amp has a bright, clean tone, even with the dirty presets. Editing is fairly intuitive, and the fender tone app through a USB connection to a Windows computer it's super easy and fun. I found I use my own custom sounds more often than the presets. This product has great versatility, ease-of-use, and sound quality. At the price, it delivers lots of value for someone looking for a simple set up that has a punch. I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Having a lot of fun with this amp

By John F from New York on August 3, 2020 Music Background: Beginner bordering intermediate

I've paired this amp with my first electric guitar after building some skill on an acoustic.

What I wasn't expecting was how distracted I'd be for the first few days playing with all the different sounds you can get out of this thing.

There are the 30 presets you can quickly cycle through using just the main knob. These cover a wide variety of sounds used in various genres. There are 20 more built-in presets you can use to replace any of these 30. The idea is you have a total of 50 presets you can turn into a list of 30 that are easily accessible by just turning the knob.

Then, you can dig deeper and really dial in a tone you like by customizing any of the presets. There's a lot you can do here.

As far is its overall sound, II don't have intimate familiarity with the amps it models so can't comment on how true it is, but they are very distinct from one another and have their own "feel" as far as how they respond to changing the various levels.

The speaker sounds good to me across all amps and effects. Not bad at all from low bass up to the higher tones. I've never had to put the master volume at more than about 1/3 of the way up and it's pretty loud -- too loud to practice sitting just a few feet away from it, so I normally keep it even lower than that. So, I haven't tested how it sounds at full output, but it would certainly be loud.

I'd imagine you could use it to perform for your family or friends in a large room in a house just fine. Others have commented that it's not for gigging, but that's fine as all I intend to do with it is practice and I'm having a lot of fun with it just doing that.

All A Beginner Needs

By NoobScotty from Bend, OR on May 4, 2020

As a noob guitar player I tricked myself into thinking that a bigger, cooler amp with lots of features and watts would make me sound better. I bought a Mustang 3 on the cheap and with all the bells and whistles was drowning in the complexity and, no, I didn't sound any better. I wanted a small amp I could turn on and play and enjoy. I sold the M3 and picked up the little LT25 and that has made all the difference! It has plenty of presets that are easy to find and sound awesome.

It sounds great either plugged in or through headphones, can play quiet enough for practice or loud enough to be heard across the house. I plug my tablet and headphones in and I can see and hear my lessons, play tabs, and practice without disturbing the rest of the house. My son said, "Dad, this might be the best purchase you have ever made". Everyone is happy. The presets are accessible and yes, they can be changed, so someday, when I'm ready, I'll even be able to go in and tweak the presets to find my "tone" but until then, this has plenty of what a beginner needs to keep them interested and having fun.

As someone who knows better, I love this silly little thing.

By Adam Smith from Portland, OR on April 13, 2020 Music Background: Post-post rock

Bought this as something to keep me company in the home office during quarantine, and as someone who's owned almost every big iron valve amp under the sun (vintage OR120's, Sound City's, Model T's, Reverberockets, etc.), this thing absolutely rules for what it is; I'm pretty sure the only piece of gear I have cheaper than this is my Korg stage tuner.

I bought this as a cheapy way to record direct without a mic, and with a little bit of tweaking, even the stock presets sound surprisingly great. Other than the cabinet getting a little too resonant / boomy on anything that rings through the low end, this is an absolutely fantastic little 'round the house' amp that keeps me from having to turn my Deluxe Reverb up halfway to get it singing.

Make sure you get to the second bank of 20 additional patches by electing to save over one of the default 30, there are some seriously fun & useful sounds in there.

For someone who's not an amateur, wants to 'sound sculpt' a bit and not be bothered setting up effect chains, etc., just plug a cable in and turn a few knobs, this is an extremely useful / inspiring little tool, provided you're not trying to do anything silly like keep up with a band with it, or are expecting a Fractal kitchen sink number of effects.

I wish it had a global presence knob, some of the stock "classic rawk half overdriven" presets are a little 'flat' sounding.

Again, shout out to Ian Angle and everyone at Sweetwater for delivering things in the era of pandemic. :)

great dummy proof practice amp

By Sweetwater Customer on February 20, 2020 Music Background: Bass Player, Engineer , mixing, live sound and lights

I was impressed by how full it sounded on 1st 'clean' preset at my friend's house so I got 2 to run stereo effects. Turns out out boards effects not really needed.
I like the way the best presets were the 1st 3. Tons of amp models and easy dummy proof operation.
Menus are not too deep and are easy to step through back and forth.
Mostly, just impressed with the sound coming out of that little box. I think t's also sealed so it doesn't matter where you put it in the room and it's super light. Fender did a good job designing this bedroom amp.
Granted, I was a pro bass player and just noodle on guitar but I have high standards and this thing passes with high marks due to price, functionality and sounds.
I also picked up 2 Gibson spray polish which is interesting. Very slippery, kind of feels like a cross between poly and wax. I like it.

What a powerhouse of an amp!!!

By Geoff H from Phoenix, AZ on November 4, 2019 Music Background: Long time player

Got this yesterday and plugged it right in and started playing. What an amp!!! There are a dozen presets that blew me away completely, especially "Silky Solo" which sings beautifully. The clean tones are sparkling clean with endless tonal options. The overdriven tones are full-metal-worthy at loudest, and also ideal for blues with less punch added. The controls are very easy to use. Modifying the sounds is as easy as pushing a button and twisting a knob. The volume is good for anything up to a small club. Even a larger gig could be played with this amp with a mic.

Perfect Bedroom Amp

They call this a beginner amp, but I've been playing for 40 years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. This amp is basically a scaled down version of the Mustang GT 40, at half the price. It comes with 50 presets that are surprisingly usable, and very easy to tweak. No software or apps needed. Perfect "plug in and play" bedroom amp. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on a GT 40, because the LT 25 does everything I need.

Incredible beginner amp!

By Jeremy from Fort Wayne, IN on June 18, 2019

...With all the features it has you could easily add another $50 or more. I was surprised to see it had a built-in tuner. I was excited to get the 50 presets but I didn"t know how editable they would be. I kind of expected to see a button for overdrive with a 1 to 10 setting. But it has all sorts of distortion types or stomps, many based on the pedals I"ve wanted to try. It has 20 different amp models. It has all sorts of effects and different kinds of delays and reverbs. The only problem I"ve found so far is that many of the presets are overblown distorted but I"ve only started messing with the settings. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a home practice amp.

Nice and flexible

By Andrew from Texas on May 25, 2019 Music Background: Professional vocalist, budding guitarist

So I just got this thing in today, but after comparing it to a dozen other "comparable" amps in a similar price range, I know I made a good choice.

The fifty options for the presets are very broad and cover a very solid variety of sounds. Sounds which can be further tweaked if you desire.

Please note: it comes with "thirty presets." However, there is twenty more programmed into the amp, and it is not that hard to go in and swap them for a setting you don"t see yourself using. I swapped out the "space travel" setting for the rock a billy to do a test run (I knew I"d be able to remember which I"d moved, and then be able to put it back.) It was no more complicated than things we do daily on our smart phones.

My wife, clear in the other end of the house, remarked about how good it sounded. She"s been enjoying hearing the different voices and figuring out what bands it is imitating. I have not had the chance to test it really pushing for volume, so I do not know just how big a venue it would serve. For a practice/garage band/solo gig in a small venue amp, I do believe it would work nicely.

If/when I need to go for a bigger amp, I"ll definitely be looking at Mustangs first.

If you are looking for a practice amp that can sound like a lot of other amps, it"s a good bet. If you"re a beginner and still unsure of what you would call "your sound," a modeling amp is definitely the way to go. Fender filled a nice little void with this one. A lot of the qualities of the 40w Mustang GT, with a price closer to the Mustang 20.

Great little amp

By Brice G from Mid Atlantic on May 17, 2019

I've been playing for 40 years and have always been a tube amp person. I wanted something easy to use, light and self contained to practice with. This amp does this very well. The presets are good but easily tweaked to sounds you'll be happy with. The cleans are nice and getting blues and rock tones is a breeze.

Fender Mustang LT25

By Rexxumus from Gilbert, AZ on May 9, 2019

This is a great portable/beginner amp! Build quality is very good. It has more features than I'll use, with great interface options. Great sound and plenty loud for most practice/intimate performances. It was well worth the money! Now it just needs more complete instruction (thank youtube for additional help).

Practice?

By Greg M from Texas on May 5, 2019

If you are just wanting to practice at home buy this amp. Hands down the best sounding amp for that Fender sound at low practice volume. This little guy will get loud too and still sound good. Home rune! I had a Mustang GT 100 before too and this sounds better that that, especially for this price it"s a no brainer!!! Shout out to Mark Johnson! The best Sweetwater salesman there is!

Great amp clear sound great presets

A huge mistake

By Sweetwater Customer on January 8, 2024

I've picked up guitar to genuinely start playing it 3 times in the last 7 years. I just started my third attempt to really get into playing again and was looking for an amp to get me different tones i wanted to play things i wanted to. I had a Mustang V.2 that i bought from my last attempt and i thought it was a great concept. I decided i wanted to invest in myself and actually pay for a new one to encourage me to play more.

Enter Mustang LT25.

Upon receiving it and starting to play with it's base presets I discovered just how easy to use the new interface is, making it super quick to play with different tones. The selection of effects is fantastic for a beginner toying around with sounds. I very quickly created a nice dreamy clean, a Nu-metal esque high gain distortion, and so many other options.

This purchase was a huge mistake! But only because my fingers can't keep up with my desire to play and write more riffs and doodles. This amp revitalized my interest in playing even more so than before. Fender is doing amazing work with these things. The fender tone desktop app works great too! There's a lot of different presets to choose from, they can help be a good base to find yourself a more original tone too.

Overall this is a fantastic amp, and the customer service cannot beat. If you're thinking about it, just get it, it will not disappoint

Great sound from small package

By Douglas Diggs from Fontana, CA on December 7, 2023

Absolutely love this amp. Playing my Ibanez 113 semi hollow on it and the sound and flexibility is awesome. Great practice amp with lots of volume and big sound. Well with the money. Would highly recommend this amp to anyone who wants the flexibility of great sound and high tech in an affordable price point.
The only negative is that this amp does not come with a cover that would fit. I had to purchase a cover an after market amp cover from Amazon- not a perfect fit but it works.

Surprisingly good for the price

By Gary K from SoCall on September 14, 2023 Music Background: 45 years of electrics

Taking into account what it is: an entry-level, "practice" modeler, I am pretty pleased with the amp. It's very easy to use, has a comprehensive suite of amp and effect models, is priced right and sounds quite good (see caveat below). It even looks cool. I'm giving 4.5 stars based on where it lies in the marketplace and vs. its direct competition.

The only thing is that all of the presents are EQ'd with far too much bass. On day one I went through each one of them and reduced the amount of bass, in most cases all the way down to 1, and in some cases significantly increased the mids. I'm not pointing a finger specifically at this amp - I have found that pretty much all of the entry-level modeling amps suffer from this extreme scooping of the mids. It can mask a litany of sins, but it is not a good tone for anything but thrash. Once I got the EQ set the tones coming out are really quite nice across the board.

Lots of features, great price

By Mariah Hopkins from AMORY, MS on May 5, 2023 Music Background: 7 years of guitar

Love this amp! It has so many sounds and features for the price. I like that with a computer you can customize any of the settings and make your own sound very easily. It's easy to use, and it's great for beginners or people who tend to play tons of styles of music and want a variety of effects without spending an arm and a leg on pedals. The only drawback is that some of the effects are not the best sound quality. They can sound very digital, which isn't the best for experienced players looking for the best tone. Otherwise, it's an awesome amp, and the price point is fantastic!

It's like a dozen amps in one

By David from SANTA BARBARA, CA on April 9, 2023 Music Background: amateur

This little amplifier is a perfect practice amp for a beginner. It can simulate the tones of a dozen other amps and pedal effects. It comes with many tones and more can be downloaded from Fender. With a turn of a knob, you can dial in Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Metallica, the Beatles, country twang, jazz, surf, or rockabilly. There's even an acoustic simulation. It's like having ten guitars, ten amplifiers and countless pedals in a box. Of course, you will outgrow it eventually. While it's a good simulation, it never sounds quite as good as a real tube amp. But at this price, it's a no-brainer. Get it!

Great bedroom amp to practice. Or small gigs

Great practice amp if you tweak it

By J. Terrebonne from GA on June 25, 2022

As is the case with just about any device with presets, you probably won't like many of them. Depends on what you like to play. Once you get the hang of editing the presets, or better yet, just making up your own in the user section, it starts to get really fun. There's also the Fender Tone app you can (should) download for lots more presets. No matter what you like to play, you will find good examples here. This is a great amp for playing at home, especially if you don't want to deal with a pedal board. Plenty enough volume to be gratifying but not piss off the neighbors. Excellent value.

Hard Not To Like

By Dr Jules from Micanopy, FL on April 20, 2022 Music Background: Gigging player

This is intended to be a little, portable practice amp that give you lots of sounds for a reasonably low price. I use it as a practice amp in my rehearsal room, and it does the job quite nicely. It's loud enough, you can tweak it until it sounds pretty good, and for the money it does a lot. Of course, I play mostly blues and jazz on Strats & Teles, so I don't need it to sound like an overdriven Marshall stack putting out 100 watts of ear-splitting rock or metal. Plus, if you're willing to spend half an hour reading the instructions and learning how to tweak the presets, you can really dial it in. Overall it's a good, light, highly portable little critter that doesn't sound _exactly_ like a tube amp, but works for practice or small rooms.

It's Amazing

By Alex on November 30, 2021

I love the AMP, your able to add another 30 presets to it and lots of built in pedals but the reason I put 4 and a half out of 5 is because when you go to preset 45 if you add 30 more it makes this huge explosion sound and it hurts. Like my chest shakes and my heart beats really fast, like I get shocked by it. I don't know what causes it but it sucks so I wouldn't recommend preset 45 overall the amp is one of my favorites and I just decided to write a review even though I've had it for 11 months.

Great for those looking to move out of the beginner stage

By Sweetwater Customer on November 21, 2021

I really like this amp! I've played acoustic guitar for about 2 years now and I've just had an electric sitting around, so I decided to give it a try. My old amp was broken, so I looked for one of the cheapest decent quality combo amps on Sweetwater. This one blew me away! It's as much power in a speaker as you could ever want in a practice amp, and features tons of customization options. In addition, hooking it to my computer gave me even more ways to experiment. It has different overall presets and allows for customization of amplifier, effects, delay, and reverb, pretty much all you could ever want for a novice to intermediate electric guitarist. It came very fast and y Sweetwater sales associate provided me with the best customer experience possible. My only complaint is that the tone get a little muddy, but unless you're planning on recording pro grade songs, it shouldn't be a problem. I highly recommend this amp!

For a small, 1 speaker amp, this modeling amp can't be beat. Having great fun with it. I especially like the #21 pre-set (Touch Wah). I attached a stick on hook to the side to hold my cord. Really love this thing. It has spurred a renewed interest in practicing and experimenting.

I really enjoy my amp. I consider myself an intermediate type of guitar player who got exactly what I needed. For someone who is not trying to be a professional at this time, this amp will be perfect for you.

Maybe it is in mind, but I think I sound much better since I received my Fender.

Really impressed with this little practice amp. I just 'doodle' when I can, but my musician buddy was surprised at the sound quality and programability.

Getting the Rumble LT25 for my bass when its available.

Nice little home amp

By Sweetwater Customer on March 3, 2021

Plenty of punch for a home studio, almost endless variety of settings, can pretty much sound anyway you want. The aux in function is nice to play along with pre-recorded source though the input signal from source is pretty weak, passive and dependent on power from source but it's not that critical. Overall highly recommended.

Great beginner amp with built in tuner and nice sounds

By Evan from FL on November 18, 2020 Music Background: Beginner Electric Guitar player

Firstly I'd like to thank Adam Hunter for his amazing customer service in assisting me with my first amp purchase. This amp sounds beautiful and represents sound very well. It has a built in tuner which is very convenient. I wish it had some more built in presents but it has the ability to customize your own. Great beginner amp

By Thomas Daniels from Florida on August 4, 2020

I've been really happy with the sound from this amp. Obviously it's not the best out there, but you can't go wrong at this price point.

Great bang for the buck

By Dave from Brandon, FL on August 25, 2019

This is a really nice little amp for the money!
I've been using this only as a practice amp with headphones, so can't speak to the power output, but at 25 watts it appears to be more powerful than other similarly priced amps.
There's a good selection of pre-programmed models, each displaying a name on the LCD that gives you a good idea of the sound that's produced. For example: "Yoo Too Anthem" (U2), "Police the Area" (Police), "Royal Majesty" (Queen), as well as straight effect names.

A couple of very minor issues: Although there's a usb port, it can only be used for recording. It would be nice if the usb port could also be used to load custom presets from a pc as an alternative to using the encoder wheel. Also, there's no level or gain control for the aux input, so if you connect a phone, tablet or pc, then the volume of that input source can only be controlled from that device. These are really minor issues though, and I'm very happy with this amp.

The only documentation included is a very short "getting started" type of guide. I would strongly recommend downloading the "Expanded Owner's Manual" directly from Fender's documentation website. Do a google search on "Fender LT25 Manual" for the link.

Excellent small amp for solo gigs

By Vince from West Virginia on July 18, 2019 Music Background: Pro player Music Professor

This great looking light weight amp sounds great on the clean settings. I am a pro player with great guitars and high end boutique amps for large gigs. I use this for solo gigs and actually in the main dining room of The Greenbrier Resort and it more than does the job. Portable and powerful for its size I love being able to tuck it under my arm and move from ballroom to any other venue.

Fender Mustang LT25

By John on April 17, 2019 Music Background: forever learning

for the price this is a NO BRAINER!! my only gripe is there are no instructions on how to get to the extra 20 "presets" above and beyond the 30 Fender pre loads... all of which you can modify to fit your sound..and it's so new there are barely any videos online. but these are really minor issues

I'm actually thinking of getting another one to keep one in the office and one at home..

I've spent about a week with this cool little amp, and fell in love with it. Especially after I finally got the Fender Tone PC app to recognize it needed to update (following the official instructions did not work).

Throw a boost or OD in front of it, and there's nothing you can't sculpt tone-wise.

Great Sounding Amp For The Price

By Steve K from South Carolina on February 13, 2021 Music Background: Professional Musician

This Fender Mustang LT25 amp is a good deal for the price and makes for a great practice amp. The 30 presets sound good and they are easy to edit. The layout is easy to understand and navigate and in 5 minutes I understood how to access all the features. Didn't have to do any manual reading. The amp is compact and only ways about 15 lbs. I did a little recording with it both by mic-ing the speaker and by hooking the headphone jack directly to the recorder and both ways sounded pretty good.

Nice practice amp

By Howie on October 17, 2020 Music Background: Hobbyist for 40 years

I bought this as a bedroom amp and it delivers exactly what I was looking for. Effects saves me from having to clutter my floor with stump boxes and they work fairly well. Program is intuitive, and if you use the Fender Tone app via a USB cable, you can easily sculpt your tones on your computer.Plenty of volume and has some pretty good emulations built-in. For the money, you can't beat it. Bought it to replace my last fender, which started to malfunction after 20 years. Quite happy with the purchase.

Great value and versatility

By Sweetwater Customer on June 29, 2020

I was looking for a practice amp. My equipment had been destroyed in a basement flood, and I didn't want to have to replace all my pedals. This is versatile and surprisingly clean sounding amp with plenty of volume to be heard throughout the house. The built-in amp simulators are interesting, and the effects circuitry is broad enough for a bedroom player and great to experiment with to create your own sounds. I highly recommend connecting this amp via USB to a Windows computer and using the free Fender Tone app, which makes changing and designing tones much easier. You will have a ball with this amp without spending much money.

Great Beginner or Practice Amp

Purchased this as a first amp for a 14yo. It works great for a beginner. Great sound with a lot of effects. I've played it quite a bit to show my daughter how to use it and to showcase all of the effects and mods available. I loved it. This amp sounds great, has plenty of volume for a practice amp, and was perfect for the price point.

Fender Mustang LT 25

Lightweight, EZ interface, excellent volume for such a small amp. A bit of hum from some of the aggressive tones. Acoustic sim is pretty decent, tones are EZ to edit. Received shipment in one day, very impressive service from Brad. Excellent job of packing and boxing by shipping dept. Very pleased with all my purchases and communications with SWEETWATER!

Pre-sets Rock

By Matt C from Lubbock, TX on February 22, 2023

I bought this for my son. Super convenient and easy to use. The wide variety of pre-sets rock! It's loud enough to play with a drummer. The tone of the amp does sound like a cheaper amp but you can do the work of "dialing in" and fight for the right tone. It's a fine starter amp.

At first I thought this thing was a joke, but after a while I started to like it. I usually only use a handful of settings that I've created but they cover lots of songs. Great for small areas, low volume sounds good so it's pretty cool. I'm 70 and have used countless amps , etc, and this is a fun little amp.

Is Fender TRYING to DEAFEN me?!?!

By Ethan on December 25, 2021

Ok so the amps is alright nothing too special, the presets are nice and the different models too. So now let's get into the not cool, twice now my amp has just went from normal playing at a medium/quiet volume too all the way cranked, insanely loud, static, it's happened when once while playing with headphones and once through the speaker. I give this amp 3 stars now in hopes that it won't malfunction like this again

Fender Mustang LT-25

By Sweetwater Customer on August 26, 2020

I was looking for a small practice amplifier to squeeze into my limited living quarters and the Mustang LT-25 pretty much fit the bill. The amp is great if you don't have a particular sound in mind and are in search of one. In my case; I basically wanted a clean sound that I could adjust with tone controls, reverb and a little gain; that's it. Granted those features are there on the panel but the mid range and some of the other features were only available via the Fender Tone software. I wasn't overwhelmed so much by the presets as I was by the amount of effort needed to access the effects to make adjustments. In terms of sound; the amp is surprisingly loud with certain settings [ex. Thrash Overkill] and a little buzzy when the volume was lowered within a reasonable level. I didn't attempt to try to use the Fender Tone software; it's a little too much effort for anyone who just wants to sit down, relax and play. Playing guitar shouldn't involve having to use yet another device.

The Mustang LT-25 was a little too involved for my liking. I just want to plug in and play and make my adjustments as I go without spending a lot of time fiddling with knobs/buttons. Not a bad amp; just a little too fussy to use for my purposes.

So what am I running now? I have a Boss Katana 50 MK II that has all of its features on the front panel and has a power selector that allows you to play at a reduced volume without losing any of the amp's dynamics. The Katana also includes software [Boss Tone Studio] to adjust the amps tone settings [via a computer] but the amp is more than ready to go; right out of the box.

Too muddy

By Reid D. on November 6, 2021

The amp does have some decent amp models, and effects. It's plenty of bang for the buck, in regards to features. And editing presets is very easy.

However, out of the box, at bedroom volume levels, the amp's overall tone has too much low end. Almost every factory setting sounds like it's being filtered through mud. Maybe it's not so bad with a guitar that has a single coil at the bridge, but with a humbucker, it's bad. Even with a single coil at the neck, it's muddy.

To be fair, the amp's overall low end sound may not be so bad at higher than bedroom volumes, or in a DAW. And, most of the lower frequencies can be dialed out in a given preset's settings - but not all of them.

Another ding I'll give the amp is regarding the one-button footswitch that works with it, (albeit sold separately). One button? So it would allow me to change presets in only one direction? That's not useful. At least offer a two button footswitch that would allow banking up or down of presets.

I don't recommend this amp.

Adequate Amp

By Stephen from NY on December 27, 2021 Music Background: 5 years of Lessons, hobbyist

Its good for the price, but there is a reason it is so cheap compared to similar amps with the same features. it sounds terrible at low volumes. So if you're looking for a practice amp this has proven hugely impractical, since you can only get the sounds youre looking for at higher volume. Which means that even practicing drills on this amp means the entire row of houses gets to hear me messing up scales. If this is your first amp then its probably a great purchase, if this is meant as an amp upgrade, it likely isn't.
