Since 1983, Fodera has designed electric bass guitars for top musicians like Anthony Jackson, Victor Wooten, and Oteil Burbridge, and they have poured all their experience and know-how into their Monarch 4 Standard. Designed from the ground up for optimized performance, Fodera instruments use only the highest-quality tonewoods. For flawless playability, the Monarch 4 Standard features a comfortable alder body and a quartersawn, hard rock maple neck capped with a compound-radius pau ferro fingerboard. The electronics package includes two Fodera/Duncan Dual-coil pickups and a Fodera/Pope Standard 3-band preamp. Fodera and Sweetwater

By Booker Cole from Thousand Oaks, CA on August 2, 2022 Music Background: "Advanced" beginner

This is my second Fodera from Sweetwater and Sales Engineer Jonathan Casarow. It is truly a handcrafted masterpiece. Nothing feels, plays, and sounds like a Fodera bass. Looking at it ranks right up there with playing it. Sweetwater and Fodera are the best at what they do.

Bought into the hype………

By Matt from Illionis on September 29, 2022 Music Background: Have placed for 13 years

1st purchase of a Fodera bass and have to say not that impressed. The bass overall is average. You do get a wide range of tone with the electronics but in the end I was expecting much much more based on the name and research. I'm glad that I bought a demo instead of paying full price. Maybe if you have a bass "custom" built by them that is what all the excitement is about; not sure. I had a us built Spector NS 4 that felt and played so much better in comparison; neck was screaming fast. Planning on giving it a few days to see if I feel any different before contemplating a return.
