Our band has been using our I phones to video us playing....The audio quality is not the best on a cell phone...My SWEETWATER Sales Engineer Clint Bransteter suggested we use the Shure MV88.
I am not good when it comes to running electronic equipment but the Shure MV88 is easy to use.You download the Shure MV88 app onto your phone and it is simple and basic to adjust to your surroundinds.
We are getting much better than expected audio now with our videos.

This mic gear kit honestly blows me away. I love the build quality of every single piece of equipment used in this gear kit—the microphone itself, the mic stand and extender for added height, the fur that comes with it, the travel bag, all of the useful cables included with it, AND the Shure SE-215 in-ears. This is all great equipment for a reasonable price. You will be thoroughly impressed with your purchase! Once you record the first few things with your in-ears plugged in, your mouth will drop wide open at how pristinely clear the sound is from this tiny mic!
Shure MV88+ video kit: Great video recording enhancement
Like most everyone in this quarantine life, particularly musicians and educational instructors, it's an enormous challenge to effectively create quality content for students. My wife was attempting to create class videos quickly with her phone - the audio quality was difficult to control. I knew I needed to help her purchase a decent quality mic (not too expensive) and that would would work with her phone. After some quick research and advice from my sales rep. Josh Dillon, we decided to purchase this kit. Made all the difference - easy to use, great consistent sound quality, with the tools in the provided app to really capture the sound correctly. Great investment, and well worth the investment.
Excellent addition to my portable gear.
I absolutely love this kit. It has brought live sound,a steady hand, and quality monitoring to my ever changing video collection. I wasn't ready to spend the money at first but I am glad I did. A simple plug and play on my Samsung....
Shure worked out for me
While this product is not for professional recording, it's fine for a hobbyist (like me). It lets me record selfie videos on my iPhone with much better audio quality than the iPhone's on-board mic. The free apps that come with the product are easy to use. The little tripod that comes with the mic holds the iPhone in a nice position for video recording: no up-the-nostrils angle. I'm having fun with it.
Great tool for streaming
Sounds great and easy to get up to speed. I had a problem with going live on FB for a stream (no audio after pausing to go live) and the Shure Tech support, along with the Sweetwater team helped me work through it. Cheers to this unit from the world-class microphone company, Shure. Inc.
Ideal Mobile Cinematic Kit
The new Shure MV88+ mic beats its competitors in its class hands down. The Rode, Zoom etc. can’t hold a candle to this when it comes to sound quality. It’s previous model (Shure MV88) dose not have a ear phone out for direct real time monitoring which is a big problem for me as a singer/songwriter for live video performance. The Shure MV88+ has a subtle sound quality over the previous model also, from what I’ve learned online before I purchased it. The audio software that’s included is very good for a variety of applications, however I use it with filmic pro for the video aspect since I have more control over the manual video functions.
I wasn’t going to pull the trigger for the whole kit but just the Shure SE215 ear buds that match the mic were about half the price included in the kit.
