The overall sound from recording with this microphone is fabulous.I am having one issue and that is trying to download my recordings to SoundCloud but I will figure it out.My sales person on the other hand disappointed me because he sold the MV-88+ without the cable to use for my iPhone so I ordered it directly from Shure.
Surprisingly capable little mic
I bought this to livestream on my Android phone. Being able to switch polar patterns and EQ in the MOTIV app was helpful to get the right sound. Higher notes with female vocals are a little shouty when using stereo mode, but in general the sound quality is great for such a small unit. It comes with cords which was helpful when I switched to using a PC. This stands up well to other USB mics.

This works beyond my expectations and it motivates me to record more because of the sound quality and ease of use.
Good Place To Start!
If you are new to podcasting, this mic is a good place to start! It's size belies it's performance. But really, what else would you expect from Shure?
My SM57 is a go-to for many tasks! Back to the MV88, an added bonus, especially to those new to the podcast world, is that this mic offers stereo recording, something that is handy when doing an interview. I recommend this mic!
