It just works.
Out of the box. Plug and play. I don't have the expertise to evaluate the sound. I know that I like it. As a dynamic mic it does not pick up the background noise. With the app, I can adjust the tone. Most importantly, I can connect directly from the headphone out jack to the mic input on my camera, so I don't have to sync sound to my video. I'm a YT newb, and I need to keep things as simple as possible.
Shipping was included, and the package arrived two days early. Sweetwater customer service called to make sure I was happy. Take that, Amazon.
Not too simplistic but simple
Went with the Shure because I wanted to take advantage of the software that allows you to control aspects of the mic such as compression/EQ but through simple settings in SW. The only thing I wasn't excited about was that I did not want to use a boom and the desk stands elevate the mic too high to keep it out of view for podcasting/video conf. I bought the on-stage flange mount which works perfect to provide a more secure base but only about an inch of elevation: TMO8B--on-stage-stands-tm08b-flange-mount
I did not have to mount the flange/stand to anything to get the stability needed.

Shure MV7 USB Mic
I bought this because of Covid-19 restrictions, so my band could get songs out to our friends and fans. We are still social distancing here, so I haven't actually used it. But, it is a Shure! It is well made, sturdy and complete. I whole-hearedly recommend it!!!

I purchased this with hopes, and was never wrong. This Mic MV7 is amazing. The sound is perfectly beautiful. Very convinient on wither XLR or USB.
The included application works very well with MV7.
