Fishman Loudbox Micro 40-watt 1 x 5.25-inch Acoustic Combo Amp Reviews
The Fishman Loudbox Micro acoustic combo amp packs the winning feature set and fidelity of a much larger Loudbox combo, but this is the most portable Loudbox yet! With a weight of just over nine pounds, you can easily carry the Loudbox Micro using only one hand. Once set up, it delivers up to 40 watts of punchy power. The Loudbox Micro's main channel facilitates amplification, EQ, and reverb/chorus effects for an acoustic guitar. Amplification experts here at Sweetwater readily vouch for the acoustic channel's built-in preamp and flexible tone controls; versatile 3-band EQ offers countless ways to shape your guitar's character, which means makes it easy to achieve a rich, authentic sound with practically any acoustic-electric guitar, regardless of its body shape, tonewoods, or other variables. The Loudbox Micro's second channel lets you connect a microphone for vocals (or you could mike up a pal's acoustic instrument for a jam session duet). Lastly, an Aux input and an XLR DI output extend utility even further by letting players patch in backing tracks or send signal to house systems, audio interfaces, and more — all incredible ways to enrich your musical world.

Amazing little amp! You
I was looking for a small size practice amp for my new Taylor guitar, and decided to give this new Fishman Micro a try. Not too many reviews online since it's a fairly new product so I was a bit worried that it may not deliver a good sound for the size and money.
Boy was I wrong! this little amp sounds amazing, clear tones with a nice clean loud natural acoustic voice and without any distortion. The eq and effects are spot on and makes even beginner players sound amazing.
It's a perfect size for a small to mid size room (more than enough actually), and it's very portable and light weight.
Unless you're gigging professionally in large venues, this amp will give you more than enough power and satisfaction for your daily playing.
A big shout out to my sweetwater rep Brady Langefels, he was very friendly, professional, and I received great communication from him every step of the way.
Great Sound in a Small Package!
This amplifier fills the room with fantastic sound. It's the best amplified sound I've ever gotten from my electric acoustics. I have a 6 string Epiphone EJ200CE (which is 20 years old) and a Washburn Comfort 12-String which is 1 year old. They both sound fantastic through this little amp. The controls are user friendly and it will be my gigging amp for all our small clubs / bars. Cannot recommend this amp more.
As usual, Nolan Dye my gear guy, did a phenomenal job making sure I got my order correctly / quickly and easily. Sweetwater is my only source for gear for our acoustic duo and the full 4-piece electric band.
Great little amp. big sound
Since we plug into a board I have been looking for something besides my loudbox to take to gigs. So I got a mini and it works great. Then here comes the micro. I took it to a gig and our sound guy loved it. It is a great monitor and has the output for the board. I also took it to practice as a stand alone amp and the guys were stunned by the sound. Fishman should give me a comission. Every amp lugging one of them wants one !!
Fishman Micro
I just bout this item about 10 days ago. Only used in my personal studio of about 500 square feet. It fills the room nice and full without pegging the volume and drive knobs. The sound quality is signature Fishman, which always more than you expect out of an amp that size. I'd said say it is fine for instrument and mic in a studio size setting. It would be a bit light for restaurant gigs.
I like the light weight and easy storage. I only gave 4 stars because the control panel is tight and busy and oriented to read from the from the front but it is slanted toward the back so a little hard to figure out from behind or even from the front at first glance. Overall a decent value.
My Fishman LOUDBOX Mini:::
I received the 1st one/ used it for about a week, then had issues with it NOT WORKING. I spoke with the appropriate people at Sweetwater:: and I was happy to have a brand new one sent to me/ at which point I would would return the defective one in the boxed one I received. There seemed to be some wiring issues with it & I am always pleased when defective equipment is replaced right away:: instead of returning it- to be looked at & possibly repaired. SW is tops in their field !
Loudbox Micro
I've gigged with a Loudbox Mini or Artist for years, decided to try out the Micro for something even more portable. Did a bit of A/B testing with the Micro and the Mini, and as you might expect from a small speaker, the low/mid presence was lacking. Nice sound overall, just doesn't compare to what I'm used to from my larger Fishman amps. I use them to monitor guitar/vocals on stage and I like a solid low-end; this amp just had too much high-end focus even with the treble cranked all the way out. I ended up returning and plan to stick with the Mini. I can see it being useful for someone flying with their gear, someone needing an extra-portable/lightweight amp, or someone who just doesn't need as much low end response. Low end response was good through the DI-out into a PA speaker, but the lack of low end from the amp itself was the deal breaker for me.
