Use it every day (almost)!
I play 3 to 4 times a week in various assisted living facilities, churches, and farmers markets in the area. I have two for larger events but for most events just one does a great job for acoustic guitar and vocals. What a time saver, never have to worry about plugging in when not convenient and amp stays pretty much charged because at least half the time I can plug in while playing so it works either way. The sound quality of this amp, imo, is unmatched by anything in its size or price range. I honestly could not imagine traveling around my local area without it!!!
Loudbox charge
My favorite amp, loud enough that I've used it as a PA in a few outdoor events, battery seems to last forever.
Sounds great with my FSR Strat HSS, but it really shines with my Tak acoustic electrics.
I use an in-line phantom power box for my Blue Encore 200 preamped dynamic mic.
Works especially well with my old voice live touch
As a substitute teacher this has sat all day in classrooms keeping the little heathens clam and focused.
Music has magical properties.
Very good sounding amp and unbeatable customer service
This amp has an awesome sound, period. I had a couple of problems with the circuit and with the battery, but both have been solved promptly.
I have to say that the customer service at Sweetwater is stellar, they really listen to you and really try to solve your problems. Unbeatable.
Best Battery Powered Acoustic Amp Ever
TL/DR, this is the perfect solo busking amp, period. The rest: My main instrument is fiddle with an Ithaca Strings/Eric Aceto pickup, running through a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI. I busk often, play solo gigs at farmer's markets & other outdoor events. The Loudbox mini charge is the perfect amp for these venues. The eq is noiseless and useful at all settings. The reverb is spacious and musical. The whole thing sounds acoustic and, repeating myself, spacious. I get many, many compliments on my sound that I know I would not get on a lesser system. If you are considering a less hefty and less expensive busking amp (I'll not name names), I encourage you to reconsider. Just get a rugged handcart for your gear, charge the amp up for it's solid 4-hour capacity, and have a great gig! If my mini charge crashed for any reason, I would replace it immediately. It has already paid for itself many times over. Fishman has definitely earned my trust. Thanks to my associate Ben Porter for all the guidance!
On the go
The Fishman mini gives you all the great sound of the Loudbox but with the portability of a rechargeable, can't wait to start hitting the streets!!!!
Fishman loudbox mini charge
Sweet amp, delivers the sound you need without the plug...
Battery operated. Easy to carry. Easy to set up. Day after we received the amp, wife did a gig at nursing home.worked great. She needed to be outside the building. Folks inside. Did the job well.
Great amp!
I use this for electric violin and it sounds wonderful. Effects are good enough that I don't need the pedal board and I really like that you can just charge it up and take it anywhere. Very natural sounding amp. Love it!
Great Battery Powered Amp
I purchased this for a weekend of outdoor gigs and was very pleased. It had more than adequate power for all events and had enough EQ to manage the tone of my Yamaha LS16 & LL16 loaded with Fishman Rare Earth Blend pickups as well as vocals. The battery did not run low in 3 hours of playing.
Significantly pricier than the standard Loudbox Mini, it is, however, vastly more versatile. I don't see the need for a normal Loudbox Mini without a battery option at this point. I also rather like that it has a permanent battery and that you don't need to fill this thing up with AAs. I haven't tested side by side it against a Roland Street Cube or something comparable but I do prefer it over my experience using those amps.
Hold's it own easily
I have owned several boutique acoustic amps and, I gotta say, this little guy easily holds it's own against them, in terms of sound, at less than 1/2 the price. Very natural sounding and the battery is so useful and convenient.
I use it in my band as my monitor since I play with my fingers and have a light touch and I can finally hear myself. I also use it to play out woth solo guitar or to accompany a singer and it is perfect for that.
Great amp
I have used the Loudbox Mini for a couple of years now and it has been a proven performer. I stepped up to the battery powered mini this year because I have lots of farmers market bookings and a/c power isn"t always available. The Loudbox gives me a quality sound that isn"t possible with other battery powered amps.
Fantastic little amp!
I've been a Fishman fan for years and have many Fishman products. The quality and costumer service in the past has always been top notch. So when looking for a little battery powered amp for street performances the little Mini Charge looked like the best choice. I demoed a few other brands and in my opinion the Fishman came out on top. Just the right size to carry, (get the gig bag for it, well worth it), It's simple to set up, the effects on each channel are perfect for my taste. It's a powerful little amp with a natural clean sound, and if it's as reliable as my other Fishman gear it'll be a winner!
Mini loudebox by fishman
This guy is mini in size only. Does as well or better than my old pro150 ,with more bells and whistles. Enough battery to last most of the day without worrying. An A++
Workhorse
I've used this amp in over 100 small acoustic shows last year. It's really impressive for the size.
Best battery amp ever. Trying like crazy to find a replacement cord and no one stocks them.. so jury is still out on that.
Excellent Amp
Love the simplicity and portability of this amp. It passes through the natural sound of the acoustic like other amps cannot do......highly recommend
Excellent Amp
Really nice sound and easy set up for acoustic guitar. Love the battery and portability this creates. Can't go wrong. Simple amp with clean accurate sound!
Loudbox Love on first listen
This unit is LOUD, with a beautiful sound.
The effects are as good as I've ever heard built into an amplifier. Deep dark reverb on both channels, and the Chorus/Delay thickens up the tone to the point that one guitar sounds like a room full of them.
My acoustic guitars come through bigger and better than ever, my Strat never sounded better.
As far as volume, I haven't turned the master past 3/4 throttle... that was just way too loud for inside the house. My music room is 14x24 and this amp fills it to overflowing.
The Bluetooth is quick and easy to set up.
I haven't even explored all the amp's capabliities, looking foreward to using the line out to record through my XR18, and I haven't plugged in anything to the Aux port...yet...
I picked the Loudbox Mini Charge over several battery operated amp, great sound, more power, and the rechargable batter are the features that convinced me to pick this one.
The one slight inconvenience is its weight... this pup is heavy, solid construction, heavy speaker, and the built in 4-12 hour battery (depending on volume) all make for a real handful.
This is gonna be amazing at campfire sing alongs, traveling in our RV, and any time I have the impluse to toss a guitar, mic, and amp into the car for and impromtue concert at friends or relatives homes.
Magnificient
This thing outshines my Fishman Loudbox Mini, and I don't know why! It's got a cleaner sound, seems louder and is just awesome with my other little gadgets. It's probably the best purchase I've done in regards to Amps in a long time! My hats off to the engineers behind this one!
Lovin' The Loudbox!
I have an artist version of this amp but wanted the battery powered version. Operates and sounds like any of the Fishman's, very clear and great output. I got to the first gig I planned on using it and had an electric outlet so I haven't tried the battery option yet. Oh but the bluetooth option is VERY cool for breaks or background music! I was amazed at how great it sounded at my outdoor gig this past weekend. Compact and great carrying case that goes with it (carrying case is $... but SO worth it). That and the great customer service I got from Sweetwater and Ryan Wiltermood makes my work so easy! Can always depend on good gear and good service and advice from Ryan and Sweetwater's team!
Fishman Loudbox Mini
The day it came (right on tome as always) it was raining heave the box was wet, but Sweetwater packed it so well there was no damage I wont buy anything to do with music anywhere except Sweetwater I have bought quite a few things from them never been disappointed I love them and yes the Fishman Loudbox Mini is 5 stars
Incredible Amp!
I have been looking for an battery powered amp for years but the best I could find where amps where you placed batteries in them which never lasted to long and they were not very loud. Let me tell you from experience! This amp is LOUD and will easily help you entertain many people where ever you decide to take it! If you are a Guitarist and want to play outside where there is no power source this is the amp for you! Fishman! Thank you! Why couldn't another amp make think out of the box like this???
Loudbox Mini
I was glad to finally see a battery powered amp that I can take an acoustic guitar and mic and go anywhere and setup to play in minutes, without the worry of power outlets, distance and the extension cords required. It has other applications as a capable PA for groups of 100 people in an open air venue. I have only had it a couple of months and love it. The sound is pure Fishman. I can't tell any difference in the sound quality of this unit and the regular plug-in unit. Best of all, you can get about four hours of use without any degradation of performance as it gets close to needing recharged.
A little pricey but I have no regrets. The convenience it has brought has made it worth it to me.
I bought the bad too. It seemed a bit expensive but when it arrived I understood immediately. The material and build quality are exceptional. Well designed and just looks very cool. Makes carrying a breeze.
The best battery amp
This little amp Is amazing, I fell in love with it sooo clean and powerful the effects are Great! Vocals Sound Amazing! And the battery last a very long time, And not to mention you can connect your phone to it via Bluetooth and play along your favorite tunes! I highly recommend this Acoustic amp!!!
Go ahead and busk it!
It's the Loudbox Mini with a battery. Charge lasts a long time. So go ahead and busk it. The other buskers will be SO jealous of the sound you'll get out of your acoustic guitar AND your vocals. It's a Fishman. Play it on the streets, the subway, or anywhere. Not in the bathtub tho. 'Nuff said.
Wow! Great sound in a small package!
The first strum after plugging my Martin was beautiful. Crisp and clear and good power. The vocal channel was just as impressive. I now have a totally battery operated rig that can go with me anywhere. I highly recommend this amp!
Loudbox Charge
This is my second Loudbox Mini, this one with charge capabilities. I am very pleased so far as other than the charge feature it is basically the same Mini which has been a superb amp!
GREAT AMP
Works very well carries both guitar and vocal with very good balance. Extended battery life is handy. The only drawback is it is a bit heavy for an old man.
Disappointed with longevity and Bluetooth
I had the not-battery version of this amp and upgraded to this one back in 2019. As far as I can tell from a sound perspective they are the same (fantastic). The battery was great for the first year or so and then it started dying at gigs after 2 hours, even at low volumes. The Bluetooth is a nightmare to pair, was only ever successful with one device (my iPad). So now every time I gig with it I have to bring the power supply which defeats the purpose. I will be selling and either getting the artist Bluetooth or the blackstar sonnet
Not so reliable !
I bought this two and half years ago; only had it for 3 months and it had to go in for repair which took ages to do! I use it mainly with backing tracks, a lot of the time; a lot of base in the track resonates and vibrates if up loud. Now the speaker keeps cutting out. Basically good quality sound but has not been reliable. Shame as I find the quality of sound good but a pity it's not robust and reliable. Will send it off for a repair and buy a back up!
Miniloudbox
Not to heavy to carry ,plenty of volume make this user friendly
Sounds Good, Works well until....
The battery dies and won't hold a charge. I bought this amp on June 5, 2019, and have used it regularly. The battery didn't make it's 2 year birthday. Try to find any thing about the battery anywhere. YouTube has a couple of videos thank goodness at least you can find the type of battery you need to find to replace the dead one: 12 volt 5 amp hour. Easy enough to get one for $15 on Amazon. The problem is you have to remove the top, which has a really tight fit. When you do that the battery cable comes unplug. You then need to remove the speaker grill, then the speaker then reach in and remove the battery that you should unscrew from the bottom of the amp before you even begin. Now reverse the whole process and it goes ok until you get to trying to plug the battery back in and mess with the top trying to get it back on with a really tight fit. This is where I am stuck. Tomorrow I drive 80 miles to a tech, and give him $100min bench fee to figure out how to keep the battery cable plugged in while putting the top back on. Ok the amp is a good 4 star amp as far as the idea, what it does and the sound you get out of it. But be ready. In 2 years you are looking for a battery change. I figured that the day would come when you would have to change it, however it is much harder than changing your car battery. So Fishman $500 for an amp that is not user friendly to change a darn battery. Plus nowhere is it addressed in your documentation. So you get 2 stars so folks will read this. You all decide how much you want to put up with this. It sounds really good, and I really like it but I really rely on the battery. This is while I bought it.
Not as good !
Excited about the Charge I ordered one and compared it to regular mini. It totally disappointed me because it does not have the quality natural sound of the regular mini. The amp covering is an improvement but not a good enough plus for me to keep the Charge. I will be returning it as soon as I can. Bummed in Florida !!!
Bluetooth and battery life are TERRIBLE!
would not buy again. sound and battery performance not worth it.
Fishman should replace my battery.
Battery Life ?
Like Fishman products and eyeing this amp. The concern(s)/question(s) ......how long does it take to recharge ? If the battery no longer holds a charge, can it be replaced easily? Can you use it plugged in AC while it's charging? Saw a review that mentioned they got a shock from the mic using it plugged in ? If so.... that's not going to work for me if there's no ground and replacement battery is expensive and/or difficult to replace. I do own a Fishman Loudbox X Artist. Great Amp when you need more power and still not heavy to lug around. Plus can us as a monitor with DI Out to house PA. Highly recommend.
Been using the original Roland StreetCube for approx. 7 yrs on a constant basis several times a week gigging small venues & busking with no problems/issues. When batteries die and/or I forget to bring spares, it's easy to go to a local store and buy AA batteries. HIghly recommend the original Roland Streetcube for vocals & guitar. Just seeing if there's a better upgrade....and like I said....this Fishman Amp caught my eye for the battery feature. Gave one star as I don't own it.
