AWESOME PACKAGE DEAL!!!

By Russ H. from Cridersville, Ohio on January 26, 2022 Music Background: Playing since the '60's

I have been playing guitar & singing since the 60's. Got rid of my electric guitar and went acoustic in 1975 with the purchase of a 12-string Alvarez. No amp. Still have the Alvarez, but purchased a 6-string Washburn 012SE couple years ago and I did a review on that. Again, no amp, even though it was acoustic/electric. Well, you can guess what happened! So, since I tend to procrastinate, my wife contacted Sweetwater and ordered this package deal as a Christmas gift. Man! I LOVE it!! Can't beat the sound, the quality, the small size. But it is LOUD if you want it to be. By the way, of significant help was Joe Donley who even called to help answer any of my wife's questions. Sweetwater is the best, and this is a great deal. You will love the sound!

Great amp for the money

By Patrik from Austin, TX on January 4, 2022 Music Background: 38 yrs

I have three Taylor's, and two Takamine's, with different tone woods, Koa, Brazilian Rosewood, Maple, and Mahogany. After dialing in the the gain, low, middle, high, reverb, and chorus, they all project crystal clear with without being too bright or to muddy even at high volume. Because this amp lets you fine tune your sound I generally leave the EQ, bass, and treble flat on my guitars. Would recommend this amp to anyone who plays small to medium venues. Shout out to Matt who's always been responsive and helpful, and to Sweetwater for always getting my gear and guitars to me in perfect condition!

A Match Made in Heaven

By Thomas Onions from Little River, SC on December 2, 2021

I am a self taught amateur, so I cannot offer a valid opinion as to how this amp would perform for a gigging guitarist. However, when my amp arrived today, the first guitar I plugged into it was my Yamaha NCX1C (Cedar Top, Nylon Strings). As my title says it is a match made in heaven. The sound is very natural, and if you dial in a dash of some of the effects, IE: gain, reverb and chorus, it is absolutely stunning.

One of the best gear purchases I've ever made

By Jared Grenfell from NC on November 8, 2021

The amp is incredible. For how compact and lightweight it is, the overall quality is astounding. All of my musician/sound friends I've shown this to have been blown away by it. I've tried it with both a Taylor and a Martin. It's just a crystal clear sound with great EQ controls and nice reverb/chorus effects. The volume capacity is also impressive for the little box - It gets LOUD. The bluetooth feature is a nice touch; I've found myself bringing this to social gatherings to use as a speaker to play music. The sound quality on that is no joke. You can also plug this direct into a a PA system via the XLR port in the back - and get every bit of the sound quality you'd have in the speaker. Never a need to mic it up with that capability.

You definitely want to get the package. The mic is pretty much free and is a very solid, gig-quality mic. Mixing it with your guitar can be a little bit tricky, but if you bring the mic gain forward enough, the LBX turns into a really nifty portable PA for a solo performer.

If you're on the fence, just pull the trigger. This thing is the real deal.

Small size, Big clean sound

By Randy from Michigan on November 7, 2021 Music Background: Hobby/Beginner/ Intermediate

Bluetooth works great with my laptop and online lessons. Connected to Fishman Matrix Infinity VT / Ibanez AW 240. Mic and stand are a welcome bonus.

I ordered both the Fisher Loudbox Mini BT and the Fender Acoiustasonic amps (40 watts).

By Timothy Hall from San Francisco, CA on October 24, 2021 Music Background: Guitar instructor at Presidio Middle School in SF.

The Fender had great reviews so I ordered one that arrived about 2 months ago. I found that the louder I set that amp the less clean it sounded. I have an Alvarez Dreadnought fitted with the K&K pickups and it sounded okay at 1/4 volume. When set at 1/2 volume the breakup became objectionable so I was disappointed. The microphone sounded good in that amp though. I decided to use it for the Gibson acoustic bass guitar and it works okay for that guitar.
The Fishman is much better. I am able to set the volume to 3/4 max and the sound is still very clean. I used the Alvarez as well in this case. Actually, the cost between the two was about the same. I bought the Fishman with the mic stand and microphone because it was such a deal.
I bought both units for a middle school where I help to teach guitar. We have a performance in front of the student body in less than 2 months and I needed these amps to support guitars as well as microphones.
So, thus far, I am a happy camper with the Fishman.
BTW - I have this little Vox amp that takes batteries and it, too, supports a guitar as well as a microphone. I've used it for years (with 6 AA batteries) because I don't have to plug it into a wall socket. That little amp (which is made for an electric guitar) actually sounds almost as good as the Fender Acoustasonic. It just doesn't get as loud, but it does not break up as much as the Fender. It cost me a little over $ about 5 years ago and I like it better than the Fender which costs $.

Fishman Loudbox Mini

By Brian Smith from Pennsylvania on August 9, 2021 Music Background: Professional and semi-professional player

It's my first acoustic guitar amp. Been playing 47 years and the loudbox mini is off the rails! I'm a 12 string player, and have been for over 20 years. This little amp is the bomb. Tell your friends, tell your boss, tell your mom... Fishman Loudbox Mini is the way to go. A truly gigantic sound from a little bitty amp. 5 stars for sure.

Big clean sound!

By Sweetwater Customer on June 14, 2021

Couldn't have asked for any better. The amp performs even better than I imagined. And with the mic, stand, and cord included....
You'll not find a better deal. Thanks Sweetwater!

Love this thing!

For starters, I'm honestly shocked that I was able to find such an 'all inclusive package' for as decent a price as this at all, but man, it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for, for my specific needs :) It's likely not the highest end equipment for a musician who gigs regularly and does more hard/high energy music and needs top of the line stuff, it wasn't quite built for that, but it's perfect for acoustic gigs and for a musician looking to start off gigging on their own and/or just looking to practice their skills at home! Great starter set, and SO easy to set up and use! Especially for my 'lack of sound tech savvy' self ;P

WOW ! Fantastic amp !

By George from WARRINGTON, PA on March 29, 2021

VERY happy with my new Loudbox mini. All the extras as part of the songwriter package was a nice surprise also. BEST amp I've ever owned. Blows away Roland Cube Street for use with acoustic electric guitar. I sold the Roland Cube Street because it was not well suited for acoustic guitar- poor tone and low volume. The Loudbox mini pairs very well with my Taylor 114E electric acoustic- great tone and wow plenty of volume with this amp and the reverb and chorus add some variety. The bluetooth connection is cool and works well- very loud and clear. I already had a stand, mic and cables but the ones included here were all upgrades, especially the mic. Haven't used the mic channel yet but I'm sure it will suit my needs. I plan to have this for a long time and since I just play at home as a hobby, I don't expect to be searching for an upgrade any time soon. The order only took a few days to ship and I even got a call from a Sweetwater Rep to discuss my purchase. The boxes arrived in perfect condition, although the boxed amp was packed into another box which seemed kind of flimsy and too big, but it was well packed with packing materials. I tend to play without a pick a lot and this amp is a big help since I can get more volume, but of course with a pick the tone really shines. I didn't try in any stores before purchasing but I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions and everyone seemed to agree for my needs I'll be very happy with it. Initially I was looking at the Fender Acoustasonic 40 but that did not seem to come anywhere close to this amp.

THR BEST I THINK

By mstt from BEDFORD PA on November 4, 2020 Music Background: BLUES HARP AND GUITARS

JUST GOT THIS GREAT GOR ACOUSTICAL GUITAR AND HARMINICA
TRY ONE U WILL LOVE IT

Took a while to decide, but glad I made this choice

By Mark F. from Alabama on September 29, 2020 Music Background: Intermediate level acoustic player. Taylor 114e, vintage Fender F-65

Wanted something to use with my Taylor 114e mostly for home practice. I actually worried that 60 watts might be a little too much to be ideal for home practice, but it's really just about right. I thought long and hard about the Yamaha THR5A or the Fender Acoustasonic 40, but I think I made the right pick for my purpose. Plus, the Loudbox Mini gives me more flexibility in the future for playing, singing, or speaking in church settings or other small-time venues.

The mic, cord, and stand in the Songwriter Package were nice extras. With those factored in, the Loudbox Mini really doesn't cost much more than the THR5A or Acoustasonic 40. I didn't think I would use the mic or the voice channel much at first, but I was wrong. It's great fun to sing along, or (better yet) have my girls practice their singing. Singing through a mic forces you to get better or be humiliated, lol.

The amp is great for playing and/or singing along with songs from Spotify or backing tracks from YouTube. I've been making some nice-sounding backing tracks myself with the Android Chordbot app, and I'm sure there are other similar apps. Nothing beats the feel of playing with a band to force you to get smoother, better, and more consistent. And the Loudbox Mini with Bluetooth is perfect for this.

Also great just for listening to music from Spotify. Not stereo, of course, but sounds great.

My only complaints, if you can call them that:

(1) Wish the Bluetooth/auxiliary channel had its own volume control. Have to control it from the phone or device. This is par for the course for this price range, though.

(2) The Sennheiser mic included in this package appears to be of nice quality, but I have to turn up the gain pretty high on the voice channel to get the volume to mix well with the guitar and/or Bluetooth track. I've got a vintage AKG D2000E mic that gives a little hotter signal, so I've been mostly using that. But I'm no expert on the subject, and for most uses, the Sennheiser should be fine.

I'm not huge on effects, but the reverb/chorus on the instrument channel and the reverb on the voice channel work just fine. The instrument channel has three-band EQ (low, mid, high), which is essential in my view. Voice channel has two-band (low, high), which is really all you need there.

The Sweetwater blurb on the Loudbox Mini says it may be the last amp you'll ever need. If it will last, that may well be true for me. I'm glad I went ahead and paid a little more to get something that could be more than a practice amp if I ever need it to be.

By the way, Sweetwater's free rush shipping on this package got it here in two days as advertised.

Hat tip to Logan Miller, Sales Engineer.

Fishman is Awesome

This is a perfect little "All in One" P.A. System. The sound is really amazing and the features work perfectly. Could not be happier. Thank you Eric Bothwell for the coaching.

Excellent

By Jason from Alabama on April 17, 2020 Music Background: Played bass with multiple local bands, some blues, some country, some alternative rock. Currently playing acoustic and dedicating my life to service to the Lord by playing encouraging and uplifting music.

Could not be more pleased with this purchase, all the way from ordering to arrival, Sweetwater comes through again!
The power in this 60w amp is off the chain! The volume coming through the speaker could surprisingly fill a small venue. The delay effect for the guitar is perfect and the bluetooth compatibility is an added bonus.
The mic sounds great so far. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it,(it just arrived a few hours ago) but it sounds great from what I have got to do,and it came with a mic bag. So cool! Solid stage worthy mic stand. I suggest getting this combo package. It is a steal for the money!

Perfect Combination to Complete a Small Home Studio

By Mickey Levine from WA on April 8, 2021

For the quality (and price point) of the amp, getting the "extras" (mike, stand, and heavy-duty cable), was really nice. Sound through the amp is amazing (plus I'm using a Martin with the Fishman Aura/VT system). Not sure when I'll get to really try it out given our current stay-at-home situation, but very happy so far.
