Korg Adds Another Classic to the Collection! Korg's Legacy Collection just keeps getting better! Now the Legacy Collection Analog Edition features a new synth, the "Mono/Poly." It joins the "MS-20" and "Polysix," plus the MS-20FX and MDE-X effect plug-ins. Released in 1981, the behemoth Mono/Poly was popular worldwide. It provided four oscillators, a resonant filter, dual EGs and Modulation Generators, plus 4-way Synchro and Cross Modulation capability for creating aggressive and signature tonal effects. Now, along with the MS-20 and Polysix models, you get a virtual version of another classic in the Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007! Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 at a Glance:
MS-20 and Polysix, virtually KORG Legacy Collection resurrects some of the best of Korg's legendary synthesizers. The KORG Legacy Collection Analog Edition includes software versions of the great MS-20 and Polysix analog synthesizers found on the previous Legacy Collection, and adds... ...A new synth and plug-ins for 2007 The Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 features the addition of the new Mono/Poly virtual analog synth, as well as some cool new features. Beyond perfectly reproducing the original, this new Mono/Poly software synthesizer seriously extends its sound-creating potential. An eight virtual patch matrix lets you route 159 modulation sources to modulate 35 destinations for creating complex and diverse sounds. Two integrated multi-effects, 16-voice unison, and up to 128 voices deliver modern performance power and flexibility. Is It Live, Or Is It Modeling... Korg's CMT (Component Modeling Technology) completely reproduces the circuitry of the original synthesizer. CMT digitally models the transistors, condensers, resistors, and other parts used in the original hardware, and replicates the same circuitry as the original. The complex sound and parameter response can be perfectly reproduced, delivering all the power and subtlety that up until now only true analog synthesis could provide. Combine Synths and Effects into a Single Software Synthesizer Korg's proprietary Legacy Cell is the world's first software-based "combination structure" that allows the combination of synths (MS-20 + Polysix, 2 MS-20, 2 Polysix, 1 MS-20, or 1 Polysix) with two insert and two master effects into a single instrument that delivers new sounds and textures (19 effect algorithms are available for the insert and master effects). Users can easily set key and velocity splits or layers, choose velocity curves to switch between the synths, as well as map controllers to any synth or effect parameter. The Cell can then be used as a normal VST or Audio Units plug-in by any compatible host application, or as a stand-alone synthesizer, bringing these classic sounds into the 21st century. The Korg Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007 is a great synth collection made even better!
