We Be JamMan Again!
If you're familiar with Lexicon's JamMan audio looping system introduced in 1994, you know that it has become quite a cult item and is still sought after around the world. Originally developed by Bob Sellon for Lexicon, after an idea originated by Les Paul using analog tape, the JamMan was discontinued in 1997. Now, in partnership with Digitech, the JamMan phrase sampler/looper is back in pedal form and better than ever. Designed for the performing vocalist and musician using CompactFlash memory and a dual footswitch interface, the Digitech JamMan Looper pedal is capable of creating seamless loops with virtually infinite overdub capability.
Input audio can be from instrument, microphone, or line-level audio sources. Up to 99 loops can be saved onto a CompactFlash card, which can be removed and transferred to a PC for archiving. Store over 24 minutes of looping time on the included CompactFlash card. Upgrade to a 2GB card to store up to 6.5 hours of audio! An optional 3-button footswitch can be connected for remote loop access and reverse functions. Record your own loops and overdub them on the fly, in the studio or onstage. Pop out the memory card and transfer your loops to and from your computer or DAW. Load up the JamMan with a drum track, bass line, and vocal and solo harmonies...it becomes a band in a box. Slow down a song without changing pitch to master that tricky riff. With the DigiTech JamMan in your bag of tricks, the possibilities are literally endless.

Works great as a sampler/reproducer by RDK from Marion, IA, November 26, 2008 Music Background: Keyboardist for The Trux band
“We use this mainly as a sampling device. I already use 6 keyboards in the band I'm with, but didn't want to spend more money on a sampling keyboard. In fact, I borrowed the Jam Man from our guitarist, as he liked it, but wasn't sure how to use it "live." I couldn't be happier with it. My only complaint about it, and I feel the same about all effects pedals, is that it needs a power adapter...” Read More

"For live use, the JamMan is my favorite looping device. I’ve had mine since they first introduced the JamMan, and it has been a reliable, great sounding unit. Since you can input with either 1/4" or XLR, miking your amp is no problem, allowing you to solo over the loops you’ve created live. For live use, you can even load backing track WAV files, great for a coffeehouse gig when you don’t need a full band. I even use it for practice, transporting the WAV files into my Pro Tools setup for songwriting. I highly recommend getting the optional FS3X footswitch, which enables you to switch loops hands-free when playing live."
