The sound of acoustic blues, ready for the stage
Gibson's J-185 EC Blues King Electro delivers that low down, early blues feel you'll love. It also comes equipped with a high-quality Fishman saddle transducer pickup and preamp with onboard controls, giving you complete control over your sound, no matter what genre you play in. A big-sounding guitar with a distinctive shape, the J-185 EC Blues King Electro is classic Gibson through-and-through!

Play a classic Jumbo
The first Gibson J-185 was introduced in 1951, giving players a broader choice of flat-top acoustic guitars. It quickly became a hit. With a slightly smaller body than Gibson's fabled Super Jumbos, the J-185 offers an excellent alternative for players seeking a smaller body style without sacrificing acoustic power and projection. Traditionally, the J-185 features a body length of 20-1/4", a width of 16", and a body depth of 4-7/8", producing a big sound with clear acoustics, making it equally impressive for powerful strumming, delicate fingerpicking, and everything in between.

Experience Gibson craftsmanship
Gibson's reputation as a fine guitar builder dates back to the late 1800s. Handcrafted since day one by some of the most skilled luthiers around, Gibson acoustic guitars have inspired countless players around the world. When you pick up a Gibson acoustic, you know you're getting the finest tonewoods, quality hardware, and incredible attention to detail — these instruments are built to sound great and stand the test of time. After moving from Kalamazoo, MI, to Nashville, TN (where Gibson electric guitars continue to be made), Gibson finally settled their acoustic operation in Bozeman, MT, where they continue making some of the finest guitars on the planet by hand
