Roland GK-3B Divided Pickup for Bass Reviews
Bass players looking to expand their tone palette won't want to miss Roland's new GK-3B pickup, designed for driving synth-bass rigs such as the popular Roland V-Bass and GR-20 guitar synthesizer. Much smaller and thinner than its GK-2B predecessor, the GK-3B is similar to its guitar counterpart, the GK-3, but catered for bass players.

Love it
Very easy to install. Tracks perfectly after plugging In For the first time! Adding Synth Bass and other sounds to my 3 pc band is very exciting! First gig this Saturday! I will be sending my regular bass sound to my amp and Synth right to the pa. Tried at home.nice!
Love it!
GK3B Bass Pickup
Very easy to install, comes with many options for different situations.
I'm using it with the GR-55 Synth. Very easy to setup, and being able to double the bass line with a rock organ helps fatten the sound, for our rockin' teenage combo.
Taking the Bass up a notch
The Roland GK-3b is a great way to express yourself on bass. I have the GR-20 pedal synth and I must say its worth what I paid. The Bass isnt as sophisticated as it's guitar counterpart but u can definately broaden sum new horizons.
Working It Out
Working To Get The Bug Out Over All It's Great
Works Great
Just picked one up a few weeks ago. Yes the installation takes some work, but if you prepare, read the directions, and take your time, it's a one-time install with amazing results. The tracking is excellent, and has brought a whole new dimension to my playing. Using in combination with the VB-99 and a laptop w/FL Studio.
2.5/5 stars, slightly complex installation, not the greatest response, takes lots of tweaking
I just bought this pickup for my bass (fender jazz), it definatly took me a long time to set up because you have to get it the EXACT right pickup height, after thats done I plugged it in to a GK30 guitar synth. damn... not good at all... it was very randomly sketchy, the E string had terrible response, even after tweaking a lot, it seemed to only be reasonable in the higher frets... but all in all, I feel ripped off, i will try it with a v-bass synth next time and see how that goes, but if your getting it now, make sure you are able to get a refund if you don't like it.
