Soundcraft GB4 24-channel Analog Mixer Reviews
If you're looking for a reliable 24-channel live mixing console for your touring rig or installation, you'll definitely want to check out the Soundcraft GB4-24. Loaded with the features and flexibility you'd expect from a reputable high-end mixer manufacturer like Soundcraft, the GB4 performs well above its modest price point. For one thing, each of the GB4's mono channels features one of Soundcraft's GB30 microphone preamps and 4-band equalizers. These preamps were a real hit when Soundcraft co-founder, Graham Blyth, presented them at Soundcraft's 30th anniversary, and they've continue to astound sound engineers ever since.

I LOVE this Mixing Board
Big bold sound. Top is nice and airy. Mids are sweet. Love the faders. Knobs nice and tight. Lots of in/outs. Good size but yet still compact. Nice upgrade from my Soundcraft 12/2. Derek did it again. Hate that he's gone. Still got Love for Sweetwater though
SOUNDCRAFT GB-4 24CH CONSOLE
BEEN HAVING MINE 6 YEARS 1 FOR MAIN FOH 1 FOR MONITORS. BOTH ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND EVERYTHING WORKS. THE EQ SECTION BLOWS THE COMPETITION AWAY. USED WEEKLY ON THE ROAD ON ROUGH HIGHWAYS AND THEY HELD UP. I USED TO HAVE PEAVEY AND BEHRINGER THEY FELL APART. READY FOR DIGITAL AND SOUNDCRAFT WILL BE THE CONSOLE.
Love this board
I love this soundboard. We are not anywhere ready for full digital at our church. After reviews and past experience with Soundcraft mixers, we purchased the GB4-24. It’s simply excellent. Sound is tight, crisp, clear.
Packs a powerful punch in sound.
The Soundcraft GB4 24 console worked as advertised and was pretty simple to install for the price that it was. There were no glitches from start to finish with this console. As a sound engineer for a church in Brooklyn, New York, having the best quality sound system possible is crucial in today’s ever so changing technology. I was so glad to finally replace the old Soundcraft Delta 200 24 channel mixing console that the church been using since 1996. The Sound was so clear in quality and sensitive at times while the new sound was adjusting to the acoustics in the room but just got to work out a few miner kinks on that. It’s a great board and I would definitely recommend other sound engineers to at least try this out!
Wow.
At my church we changed out our old Mackie digital TT24 for this guy. The sound was night and day. I first just plugged in my iphone to test everything and the bottom end was so much bigger right away. I got the band all sound checked and sounding great quickly. Very musical eq's. I've worked on a lot of big high end consoles before and this one sounds pretty darn good. The features, sound, and flexibility of this console are pretty astounding for the price.
Soundcraft GB4
I am not sure why this mixer is not getting the attention it deserves. This board was almost $4000 just a few short months ago, so when I went looking for a new console for an install was shocked to see it at $2000.00. When I actually got it i was stunned at how much mixer this is compared to Allen Heath or Mackie in this price range.
First this thing is a solid build and weighs in pretty hefty compared to the comparable priced mixers mentioned previously, of which I have purchsed both.. Sound quality is great, has 8 auxes...not six, a great matrix system, two stereo channels for media. This thing oozes quality and has a pro vibe.
Look we can get into nuances of mixers in this range, and why you need a midas venise or some other nonsense. The fact is a mixer like this will be used either in a small club or church setting with 200 to 600 people and with speaker systems and processors that are hit or miss. There are so many variables in a live setting that to insist on mixers costing 2 to 4 times this one is just foolish. Especially when you hear this thing.
I think the formentioned mixers are fine products but they will have to do something extreme to meet the quality of this thing. If you got $2000.00 in your budget for a mixer, for me there is no other choice in fact i am getting one more for another install.,
Must Buy!
This mixer is an excellent buy! I recently upgraded from an older Peavey 24 Channel Mixer and it works just as well. The only issue was not having an internal Effects. The fix was simple...I just added an Effects unit for under $50.
