This is a great cheap alternative to getting bulky equipment to preamp your instruments or vocals. I would say this is the only downfall, but yet again it is just plug and play so you can just disable and renable your old sound card. This unit does and can replace your soundcard in your computer PERIOD. The sound quality is great, i am not new to recording, but for this price you can't go wrong. 24 bit studio quality audio, can't beat that in a little box. I'm also a vocalist only so i'm not able to review the guitar line option but i asume it would preamp it the same way. As which the preamp has a great gain without much noise. The mixer is nice so as when you record you can monitor your voice/instrument. Overall a great product for the price, you can't really beat it since its a all in one solution with exceptional quality. I'll be using this baby for a while. close [-]
