One Pedal with a Universe of Sounds!

The DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory is the pedal that lets you metatarsally modulate a whole pedal board of classic expression pedals. From Wah and Whammy to rare, sought-after pedals like the A/DA Flanger and DigiTech's own highly collectable Space Station Synth Swell.

DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory Pedal at a Glance:
  • Inspired by seven classic expression pedals
  • Also functions as volume pedal

Inspired by seven classic expression pedals
You could pay $1,000 or more for separate expression pedals plus a vintage Leslie and still not get the tone and versatility we've engineered into the Expression Factory. If treading a treadle is part of your sound, you've just found the perfect tool.

EX-7 Expression Factory settings are inspired by:
  • Dunlop Cry Baby Wah
  • Vox Clyde McCoy Wah
  • DigiTech XP300 Space Station
  • DigiTech Whammy
  • Unicord Univibe
  • Leslie 145 Rotary Speaker
  • A/DA Flanger

Based on Dunlop Cry Baby:
One of the most popular iterations of the Wah pedal with a slightly thicker tone than a Vox®, reminiscent of late '60s and early 70's Guitar Gods.
Frequency Range, Q (Shape), Volume controls; Xpression pedal changes Wah effect.

Based on Vox Clyde McCoy Wah:
The 1966 original. Though it was designed for the guitar, it was initially aimed at trumpet players, which is why horn player Clyde McCoy's name graces the pedal today. Frequency Range, Q (Shape), Volume controls; Xpression pedal changes Wah effect.

Based on DigiTech XP300 Space Station/Synth Swell:
The most popular tone from a very rare pedal, Synth Swell packs an entire outer-space string orchestra into your guitar, let you create other-worldly effects and flourishes via the expression pedal. Pitch Shft, Chorus/Pitch Balance, Swell Attack Time controls; Xpression pedal changes input level (volume swell).

Based on DigiTech Whammy:
The one and only, to use an expression. Smooth pitch bends, rich detuning, deadly dive bombs and fasttracking harmony shifts, just like the original. Whammy Shift, Tone, Wet/Dry controls; Xpression pedal changes pitch shift.

Based on Unicord Univibe:
The chorus standard since the late 60's for adding lush depth and dimension. True to the original, our model also offers both vibrato and chorus. Chorus/Vibrato, Intensity, Volume controls; Xpression pedal changes modulation speed.

Based on Leslie 145 rotary speaker:
Add the meticulously modeled sound of the Leslie 145 rotary speaker. This is as real as it gets without lugging a 160-pound cabinet around with you.
Drive, Min Sweep, Max Sweep controls; Xpression pedal changes rotary speed.

Based on the A/DA Flanger:
The Holy Grail of all flangers with a dramatic jet-engine fly-by sweep. Rarer than a 7-string Strat - and its optional foot controller is even harder to find!
Range, Speed, Enhance controls; Xpression pedal changes sweep.

Includes built-in DF-7 Distortion Factory pedal effects
Thanks to two-in-one concentric controls, you can tweak three key controls of each expression effect and season them with your choice of seven classic distortion stompbox models piped in from DigiTech's DF-7 Distortion Factory.

DF-7 Distortion Factory Effects Include:
  • Ibanez TS9 Fender 1965 Deluxe Reverb 1x12
  • DOD 250 Marshall 4 x12
  • Boss DS-1/Johnson Amplification 4 x12
  • Pro Co Rat/Fender Bassman 2 x12
  • Boss Metal Zone/Johnson 4 x12
  • DigiTech Metal Master/VHT Amplification 4x12
  • EH Big Muff pi/Marshall 4x12 w/25- watt Celestion

DigiTech EX-7 Expression Factory Pedal Features:
  • Seven classic expression pedal models with six controls each - three expression effect controls plus three distortion controls
  • Seven classic distortion stompbox models
  • Flexible Output Mode and separate amp and CIT mixer outputs - feeds for your stage rig and PA system
  • Rugged cast-metal treadle and chassis
  • Unique carbon-fiber look
  • Non-skid rubber base
  • Power supply included

Very Cool for Travel

One of my main pedals for gigging live, playing through house PA. I love the wah tones- very adjustable to suit my taste. The Space Station? cool but not practical. #4 setting is Best of Whammy, sort of... read more [+].It doesn't track that great, have to recalibrate often. The Univibe and Leslie settings are very authentic and useful. The Flanger model allows one to dial up some EVH "unchained". The Distortion Factory models? I tinkered with them, but never use them. This is a cool pedal overall. I run it to my Hendrix Experience on my board for some really trippy combinations. close [-]

I really don't care for this product and more and more I am starting to dislike digitech. The controls are not quiet up to snuff. I can never get exactly what I want, almost like they should have put ... read more [+]one more adjustment for most of the effects. I do like the one Vox simulator. That one is perfect. All the Wah's are a tad wierd sounding to me. I wish the instruction manual was better and it would be AWESOME if they had a quick reference card for this mighty little beast. close [-]

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
