FANTASTIC wireless for bass
As a cable user since 1995, I was very skeptical of going wireless for carrying bass signals. I initially bought an AKG Perception 420 system, which is garbage (sadly didn't return in time). I had a pricier Sennheiser system before that, but returned because of being way more than I needed. Well, I went back to Sennheiser, as a long-time IEM user of the brand. As the more-expensive system before, this scaled-dowm version sounds just as good. It's really just less bandwith, frequencies, and a few convenience features not on board.
I honestly can't tell a difference in sound quality (compared to a cable). You know how nice it is to not be tethered to a cable, while also not knocking over and snagging things on stage? I, for the first time, jumped into the crowd, interacted, and ran around the club with ZERO dropouts. That, and the metal construction, especially on the body pack, should last a long time, just like my first IEM system did (15 years of LOTS of gigging).
I highly recommend Sennheiser...if I could, I'd endorse them.
Excellent unit
This is an excellent unit and I am very happy with the way it is working!
Great wireless mic setup
The Sennheiser wireless unit we just replaced was easily 12 yrs old. And we only needed to replace it because the antenna on the belt pack broke and you can't get replacementwith in that frequency range anymore. I ordered this new unit on a Wednesday and had it by Saturday. Took it out to church and in about 5 min had it up and running. We have 6 wireless Sennheiser units, all working flawlessly. Thanks to the guys at Sweetwater for great cust service. My new unit was missing, of all things, an antenna for the receiver. Only one in the box. I called them and in about 3 days had an entire new system sitting in my living room. They don't stock just the antenna. I sent the other one back and all is good. I've dealt with Sweetwater for many years. Not one complaint. Except for the occasional stale bit-o-honey.
Love it!!
Easy to set up and works great!!!
