Great sound
I added two of these mics to my studio and remote. I bought one for one of my hosts and whether I use it with my in studio computer or laptop on remotes the response and overall sound is very clear. Thanks
Great budget USB mic
For the cost, this is a great microphone. I use it for a very basic recording application of voice and guitar, to upload song videos to Youtube and for online tutoring. For that purpose, it performs great. I just wish it would have a little bit more gain.
Great quality for the price
USB microphone well built, heavy, good quality. Comparing price-quality it is a great deal. Also accessories in the box are of good quality.
Total Beginner
I'm a total beginner at recording anything and got this mic because a friend suggested it. So my review is coming from a place of total ignorance. That being said, it was super easy to start using and seems to play well with my Mac. I did have to look up how exactly to get Discord to pick up the mic and I don't remember if it was in the instruction booklet or I googled it but either way it was easy to find and just a matter of selecting it in settings one time. Since then it's been there have been no issues. I haven't heard an actual recording I've done with it because they're still being processed but feedback from everyone else in the call is that my audio is super clear now.
Makes me sound good
I used to be a failure of a human being, then I bought this mic and now on Discord my voice doesn't come in and out nor are there any echo effects even with the speakers on. Based.
Great Mic!
I'm using this for zoom calls and live streaming and it's perfect! If you are looking for a case for this mic I recommend the SKB iSeries Case 9x7x4. The molded foam that comes in the box with the mic fits absolutely perfectly inside the case after you take out the included foam.
Don't even think about it.
I had $ to burn and wanted to try this out. It's Mackie so I figured it wouldn't suck.
For the price point I am simply amazed. The build construction is solid and the small form factor makes it kind of cute. Simple plug and play setup and you are off and recording. Comes with a quality shock mount and has good ambient or proximity effect. It seems a little lacking in the high end of the freq response but nothing a little EQ couldn't overcome. Do not hesitate if you are looking for simple, CHEAP, usb mic for Zoom calls or podcasting. It's a solid product.
Terrible microphone
Terrible audio quality. If you get close enough to get a loud enough signal, you're going to get all kinds of loud pops unless you have a pop filter. If you're more than 6 inches away, you aren't going to get a loud enough signal.
This is supposed to be used for basic voice recordings, but the recording quality I got was infinitely worse than what I get from the built-in mic on my MacBook Air.
