Worth the money.
These speakers sound amazing. You won't be disappointed. I got a pair of these & a pair of the EKX 18in. subs. Plenty of power & very lightweight. They are built solid & I also bought covers for them all. Overall it's a great package.

I bought a set of these with a set of EKX 18 in. subs. It's a powerful system that does a great job. Very easy to setup & very light weight. I would highly recommend these & the subs. A huge thank you to Ethan for all his help. He worked with me for a few weeks as I decided which set up I needed.

Speakers for a Heavy Band
Bought a pair of these for our smaller live shows where sound isn't provided by the venue. I also bought one EV EVK-18SP subwoofer to go with it. Our first show last weekend with this setup was AMAZING. (Outdoor show) Nice full clear sound and I didn't even mess with gain on the mains. Just brought up the sub gain and that was it. Setup with a sub is super easy. A moron can figure it out. The manual is very straight forward and helpful with the different sound configurations. I'll recommend EV's to anyone who'll listen. GREAT customer service from Sweetwater as usual. Only gripe: MUST BUY AN M20 THREADED POLE FOR THE SUB N SPEAKER TO SIT TOGETHER.
Amazing sound in a small package!
The EKX series speakers are the fantastic center of my PA. I feed them with a Mackie 24 channel mixer and some simple processing to get a very clean and precise sound reinforcement. The EKX 115P tops are paired with a set of EKX 115SP subs and a pair of EKX 118SP Subs. The portability of this system is only rivaled by the clarity and power provided. This combination beats any I've ever used. With enough power to play any venue that I've set up in, the EKX speakers deliver clarity and tone at all volume levels. For small bars, large halls, or outdoor events.... these babies rock!

I purchased a pair of these and a matching sub (will be getting another sub soon). While I noticed the difference right away, the others in the band, especially the singers, were blown away. They all said the same thing. The speakers were so clear and crisp. The all stated they have never sang into a PA that sounded this good. The speakers were set flat and sound great with plenty of power. I can only imagine what the ETX series sounds like. Great job EV
Good buy
Great speakers for the money. I've had mine for over a year now, got tired of lugging a sub so these work good without a sub. They are smooth sounding until you get really loud but louder than the mackie arm 450s I used to use, not as much mid range vocal clarity but good enough for most playback applications. They are a bit heavy and bulky but its nice not to carry a sub for most gigs now.
Serious Professional Speaker
I've had a Pair of these for a few years, and they've been my go to Mains since I've had them. There is enough technical info out there on them to know, they have a well rounded design.
The cabinet is fantastic. 0% cheap plastic, which means if you need to use these without subs, you can still get a tight and controllable bottom end.
The on board DSP works fine. Quite a bit of control if you need it. I imagine anyone getting these has a good console where they will be making the changes they want though.
Good smooth power from EV. I can use two to fill a 700 person auditorium hitting about 80-90 100' away, being about the peak of what they are capable cleanly.
I've used them for concerts, musicals, graduations, dance recitals, you name it and I haven't found a short coming yet.
Why a fan!?
These sound great although it's the first powered speaker I have owned with a built in fan cooling system, and the last. The fan is whiny and louder than most amps and comes on at random times which is so frustrating. If you like pure sound with no interruptions these are not for you.
