Excellent

This has definitely brought life to my mixes!

Pretty Sweet - but careful

This totally did want I want it to do, but it is also easy to over do it. After using it in 20+ mixes, I found adding it to the two channel mix was the most pleasant. I did a mix with it on the master bus and it ended up sounding digital and not like tape. But, after completing a mix and adding it to the stereo output with only minimal settings there was a nice presence and mid distortion I enjoyed. Don't use the presets. They may be a great starting point, but understanding all the options is imperative to making this work correctly. I also did a mix where I used this plug-in on one, and ran the other mix to actual tape. What I found was that if I used the actual tape as a reference and dialed in the nuances with this plugin, I could emulate the feel and consistency tape gives. If you are trying to fix something that sounds bad, this plugin isn't for you.

I LOVE IT

Now listen ya'l I sacrificed to get this plug-in which turned out to be my X-Mas gift. The Kramer Tape was a bit smaller than I expected when I actually pulled it up on a single track. BUTTT the 1st sound I put it on was very dope. I couldn't believe how I could actually hear the sound I used a bit slower than when I originally played it the next day. It's very subtle but I heard it even more the 1 week after. This by far is a very great plug-in if you can program your own drums and baselines, meaning play it on the keyboard or guitar yourself without a band like me (don't have friends like that). Now with any plug-in you have to be creative but this one definitely shocked me and I haven't used it on on my drum bus which I'll be doing on every song geesh.. :) Love It

This tape definately has the GLUE !

First of all to all you people who have only had bad experiences with tech support people, myself included, NOT TRUE here, I had the tech gentleman at waves support install my tape plug-in for me remotely. VERY COOL ! Sometimes I have a brick wall for a brain when it comes to certain aspects of my personal confuser. I just sat back at watched the techie do his thing. He knew his stuff ! Now as far as the plug-in. At first I was kind of neutral until I sat back and listened to the files after processing. I have listened to my stuff so much I wasn't listening for musicality but for mistakes or how could I pick out those little dumb things on tracks to get it as good as you can. But when I just relaxed!, and just listened, I heard the glue! Ha Ha1 The sound is just more cohesive, not to almost make a pun, but it has that finished smoooooth and together sound.

Stunning performance!

I grew up with analog tape and began in that medium. This plugin re-creates that feel and vibe to an amazing degree. I Tried it at the recommendation of an industry top mastering engineer friend...was blown away. You have to know how to use it and what expect. It is not a toy with immediate whiz bang artificial ear-grabbing "effect" sound appeal. You have to know what tape sounds like to really appreciate how good the Kramer MPX Master tape plugin actually is in re-creating that sound. Use it on all tracks and on the master bus for the real vintage sound,,,or otherwise as a creative addition to your vision.
