Digital Performer 9.5 makes writing automation a breeze, thanks to its inclusion of automation lanes. Automation lanes let you display audio and MIDI automation data (volume, pan, plug-in settings, etc.) in separate lanes below each track. Spectral Display for analyzing frequency content
We're all used to seeing amplitude expressed as a waveform within our DAWs. Spectral Display in Digital Performer 9.5 takes it a step further, allowing you to view the spectral content of your tracks side by side with their waveforms. Not only is this colorful, informative visual representation of your audio's frequency content is a great analysis tool for mixing and mastering — it also helps you to create funky timescale-pitch modifications and phase vocoder effects, hide Aphex Twin-esque images in your music, and makes finding and editing unwanted sounds a breeze.
ZTX PRO time-stretching and pitch-shifting
Digital Performer 9.5 comes loaded with Zynaptiq's acclaimed ZTX PRO. This innovative technology provides high-quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting, even at extreme settings. You can match imported loops and audio clips to your project's tempo, apply tempo adjustments to entire mixes, create conductor track tempo maps, and more. Formant-corrected or standard pitch correction can be applied to both monophonic and multi-timbral audio, including full mixes, with natural-sounding results. A relative pitch editing layer in the Sequence Editor allows you to graphically transpose audio up or down by interval using a draggable pitch bar or a pencil tool for fine-tuned pitch correction, adding or removing vibrato, and more.
