New DW Throne
I bought the DW 3100 throne to go with my new Electronic drums. I have the Roc N Soc throne for my regular drums, so I didn't need anything to that level. For the money, The DW 3100 is very nice. It is built very well and better quality than I expected. I would definitely buy it again. The really outstanding part of this purchase, still continues to be the service. After talking to Nick about my options, I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon, and It arrived via Fed Ex about 10 AM the next day, to my home. It can't get any easier or faster than that. I love making road trips to Fort Wayne to pick stuff up, but with gas where it is, I let them deliver. It was a fantastic customer experience. Thanks Sweetwater. +

Super Sturdy and Just What I Was Looking For!
I've ordered from Sweetwater before (a guitar years ago) and was confident anything from Sweetwater was going to be worth the money. I hit it big again! This drum throne is very sturdy, with thick metal legs; and a nice sized seat.
As a side note, a representative from Sweetwater called me the day of my order, to thank me and notify my item would be shipped quickly. This small act from Sweetwater meant a lot to me and the reason I will remain a customer.

Comfortable & Sturdy
Very comfortable, very sturdy feeling. I think that covers all of the requirements of any seat. If they add heat and massage options then it will be bumped up to a 5 rating.
Good if you have never sat on a good throne
I play death metal. This involves us blasting at 3000bpm all night long. I bought this throne as a necessity when someone stole my last throne at a gig. I can't get this throne to stay at the correct height, even with the locking mechanism and tightening this thing to hell. I'm a pretty husky dude mind you. We metal drummers want to sit high so this is a no go for me. Consider something without a tightening height adjustment. Honestly spend 200-300 on a better throne. Especially motorcycle style if you're doing metal

My clients had mangled my last drum stool and I thought this would be a satisfactory replacement. It turned out to be very good.
DW 3100 Throne
I bought the DW 3100 as it advertised a 3" comfortable seat. For me, It was not comfortable At all. After only about a half hour on the drums, my bottom was toast and my legs were asleep. I have an average build and height. The seat on this thing is terrible. That being said, the base is great!!
I used it to mount a Roc n Soc seat. Now it's a decent Throne! The base is 5 star the seat is 1 to 2 stars. As always Sweetwater is Great!!
