Since I got mine, I have used it on vocals, drum overheads, and acoustic and electric guitar and have always been happy with the sound. It is clean and detailed and has plenty of gain for everything I have needed it for. If you are into modding, replacing the power supply causes an even better sound, especially with phantom-powered mics, but I still have mine in its stock form and am very happy with it.
