It's almost effortless to record in audio, slice it on the fly, send the slices to a drum machine or sampler for creative triggering. Hybrid Tracks let you keep audio and MIDI on the same track, perfect for bouncing a virtual instrument's output to audio while keeping it on the same track lane for a tidy arrangement window. With both track- and clip-based editing, transient detection and time stretching, parameter histograms, per-note micro-pitch control, and much more packed into a very elegant interface, Bitwig Studio is at once easily approachable and incredibly powerful.

Bitwig Studio's Unified Modulations feature is a dream come true for many musicians at Sweetwater. Basically, you can use Bitwig's LFOs, envelopes, and other modulation sources to control virtually any parameter you like. For example, you can assign the LFO on your synthesizer patch to also modulate the wet/dry mix of a delay plug-in, while simultaneously controlling the pan position of a different track altogether. This not only speeds up your workflow, it gives you incredible creative potential. The layout of Bitwig Studio may already be familiar to performing electronic musicians - you can arrange audio and MIDI clips as you go, trigger different scenes and tweak effects in real time, and even adjust tempo on the fly. You can re-instantiate your plug-in and bring it right back in, without time-consuming - and embarrassing - break in your flow.
