Bugera BXD12 1x12" 1000-watt Bass Combo Amp Reviews
Huge on portable power, the Bugera BXD12 bass combo amp rocks 1,000 watts of high-efficiency Class D power. The preamp is driven by MOSFET technology, which imparts a classic tube warmth to your tone. And since it's a combo, getting the gig should be no problem, as your power and the 12" Turbosound speaker are joined together in an easy-to-move package. When you're at the gig, the footswitchable FX loop simplifies your onstage setup, and the dedicated balanced DI makes it easy to connect to the soundboard. And this just scratches the surface of the Bugera BXD12 bass combo amp's features!

Bugera BDX12 1x12 Combo Amp
I am thoroughly satisfied with my Bugera Combo Amp. It has met all my expectations. It is just the compliment to producing a quality sound.
Little Powerhouse!
Bought this amp several months ago looking to replace an aging Kustom. Very well pleased with every aspect! Lightweight at just over 40 pounds, but heavy on punch! Playing onstage in a 250 seat arena with 6 piece band requires no more than half volume! And going to b string is no problem for the Bugera! Exceptional advice and assistance from Brad Jones who is a fellow bassist himself so you're not just talking to a salesman, you talk to an experienced musician who understands your questions! Give it a AA++! Would buy again!
Great sound!
I purchased this amp because I am pleased with the reliability of it's Behringer predecessor, the BX1200 bass combo amp.
I have the Behringer at the school where I teach. It's used daily for the kids to okay bass through with the concert and jazz bands. Because of a conflict in gigs, I needed to have an amp for a private gig, so the Bugera was the obvious choice for me.
I've used this Bugera in Noth a smaller, intimate venue with a small jazz combo and with a big band on stage with the built-in DI patched through a professional sound system. I've been pleased with its deep bass push, and I'm able to drive the band with my bass. I love it my new Bugera with it's electronic upgrades from the 8 year old reliable Beringer predecessor and I feel that it's more than worth the cost.
Thank you, Sweetwater and Jack Lob for getting this amp to me in just 2 days; you guys are the best!

Great Amp
I got this combo amp recently and use it for rehearsal and small gigs. It has everything I need especially the equalizers and mid range selector. I totally recommend it.
Awesome Amp
Used Ampeg SVT's and lots of others over 35 years. This is an utterly brilliantly designed amp. It's a small box and not that loud, but other than that it's beyond perfect. It has a mute so you can swap instruments without blowing up the PA, the compressor is simple and it works well with a clip limiter or traditional choice, the tone range is astronomical, from tin can funk to P-bass thunder. Has bass boost and treble boost buttons that kick aaa! Handles the low B string, is actually kinda ok with the Low F-sharp on my 7-String Custom Conklins, fan keeps it working and is quiet. It can be tilted all kind of ways, would make an excellent keyboard or synthetic drum monitor as well. The cosmetics are beautiful and the construction is solid. Has survived at least two lightning strikes that wiped out 4 Carver PM 2.0's. The DI is perfect, has settings for hot active and passive pickups, the paramid control has the boost/cut points at great working frequencies, if its going into the PA, you have a perfect sounding amp. It won't drive another speaker, so your stage volume is limited to just the amp. I've used it 7 years without a blip. The aux-in is RCA, the DI/headphone out give you both xlr balanced and TRS balanced. Be nice to have a foot controller that accessed the boost buttons but other than that it is utterly beyond compare at this price range, and holds it own tone wise with any amp I've ever used at any price. After a few days
Ok I've played with this amp for a few days and I love it . Typically I use in ears on stage since we have a full time sound person. It allows us to have only drums as stage volume which allows the sou d person to dial in a great sound for us . However for self practice and band rehearsals this amp is killer ! Has a great bottom end and as much high end as you would need. I use a pick and fingers and I don't have to change settings it sounds good with both. Plenty of power for what I need and in the event I need to use an amp for a show I know it will do the trick. Sweetwater has been great from getting this to me within 18 hours to calling and making sure everything is right. Thank you
Great amp
I've been playing Bass for over 30 years . This amp is great I will be using it for practice and small shows . It has a nice tight deep and crisp sound to it . Very good amp for the price.
Good bass amp
Tbh its a lot louder than I thought it would be. Would highly reccomend I looked around through other places I trusted and thought would have this amp but Sweetwater was the only place that had it and a really good price.
Amazing Product
This amp packs a punch! I've very satisfied with the quality and the price point. I definitely got my money's worth, and then some! I'm loving it everyday! Thank you Sweetwater!
Excellent amp
Was more amp than I thought it would be. Would buy again
This Little Baby Packs a Hard Punch!
When your drummer yells at you to "turn that effin' thing down, I can't hear the two guitars, I can't even hear my own drums" that's when you know that you have made the right purchase. How can such a cute little compact box put out such an incredibly loud yet crisp sound? I'll leave that to professional sound engineers to figure out. All I know is that it works for me.
The only Amp you will ever need
I have had this amp for nearly two years and it's been great. Because of his size and weight I have been able to take it everywhere. I have been amazed at the sound quality. I still think I have discovered the what the full potential of this Amp.the only thing missing from this combo and is a headphone jack. I highly recommend this app any and everybody
great amp
nice and smooth sounds come out from this great amp for less money
You kidding me
Been looking for a small 12" speaker amp with some low end. I mean deep end for some country style stuff. After several years of amp buying went to buy a guitar and come home with this WOW. Thought I was going to have to buy a Messa or Aguilar for that low end this sounds just as good or better. I'm very picky with my low end sound found it.
Great amp for the money or otherwise
Used it for almost 2 years now. Lots of gigs. It is relatively light (43 lbs) and compact. Tilt back wedge feature is nice. It ain't 1000 RMS Volume power. 140 watt is on the voulme side. 12" speak is great and the other 800 or watts goes into pre amp. Totally can shape bass sound. Great flexibility there. ...get it!
TONE-MONSTER
Let me start by saying, FOR THE MONEY, this amp is one of the best amps on the market for overall tone flexibility. Very unlikely that the 1,000 watt claim is valid though, BUT, it cuts thru the mix with my band and that is the most important aspect of wattage claims. The compressor works like a champ and helps smooth out the overall punch. The 12" aluminum speaker has the Snap you'd expect for slapping and still maintains that vintage vibe when high-end switch is off and low-end is activated. This is a GREAT practice amp and works fantastic ON-STAGE with the DI-OUT hooked up. I'd consider buying the 15" amp to have a stereo setup with my RIC 4001.
AMAZING! BUY THIS!
This thing sounds incredible. I had a bunch of musician friends show up to play a set with this amp. Several of them gave it a whirl and we all agree at $299 this thing is a STEAL. It's sounds very rich. The 12" is perfect for my 20x20 room yet I wouldn't hesitate to take it to a club and mic it or use the DI out. Really nice piece of gear.
Need a bit more boom? Go for the 15" it's sure to blow the roof off the house. I barely turn my 12" over half and the house is shaking.
I JUST LOVE THIS AMP!!! I waited about 6 months since I first read about it...so glad I waited and went with this amp instead of something else!!! The look and feel scream quality. Doesn't feel cheap. People would never expect this thing was $299.
Own one of these
As the title says. Can confirm this amp is awesome
bugera bass amp
great amp for the money i dont think it is really 1000 watts but it still sounds great
Bugera BXD12 built to Fit the Bill
I am a guitarist with a home recording studio who needed a bass amp for recording AND for occasional sub gigs where I need to play bass. Although it's a bit heavier than I would have preferred this amp fits the bill. It has the power for live gigs and the small compact footprint required for a home studio with the ability to either "mic it" or take it direct. So far, I am 100% happy with the performance AND the pricing.
Good price quick deliveey
Sounds great but I'm not sure if it's 1000 watts. Works great. Quick delivery. Although probably not 1000 watts still decently loud
Not 1000 watts
Sounds good at home but not so well at a small venue
setting with the band. Playing my new active fender jazz bass I would increase the volume to d10 or more to blend with the drummer keyboard and singer and it still sounded muted by comparison.
As they say on the internet "Meh!"
Sounds nice and has lots of options like the compressor and low and high overdrives. You can make it punchy, smooth, turn on the compressor for nice slapping sound and get just about any kind of tone you want but it's not even close to half of 1000 watts, more like 100 watts and the speaker is rated at 250 watts max. This amp turns up to about a modest 100 watts of volume at a little over a quarter way on the master with gain more than half way, anymore than that and it just distorts and doesn't increase on volume. Maybe a 500 watt Hartke replacement speaker would increase real volume a bit. Over all it is a nice little amp, just a little to light for the stage unless the house has it's own PA to plug into. Oh my, i just noticed The Bugera BXD12 has a little wattage rating right above the power plug that states it's true watts which is 140 watts "Shakes my **** head" Everything is a scam anymore these days lol Now i wish i just went and saved up for the 500 watt Hartke Kickback, they crank and can handle most venues. I tried to cheap out, i would of been happy with a modest 250 watts, that would have been fine for me, i figured well it says 1000 watts, it should be at least 300 real watts right? ... right?? Anope, notta, 140 watts but only sounds about 100 it'll be alright for band practice....maybe.... in a smaller room.... tiny.... and turn the guitars and PA's down..... and put another pillow in the drummer's kick ....Shhhhhhhhh.... LOL
