Works for me
What first attracted me to this product was its weight, 24 pounds. With my chronic back pain limiting my lifting, I was able to mount them on the stands without assistance. The sound quality is very good and the casing is sturdy. I have used then twice at a bar/restaurant which seats about 150 people before writing this review. Interestingly, I now have noticed several other bands in my locale using these speakers. The price is also 'highly affordable.'
Surprised
Honestly didn't expect these little guys to sound as good as they do, given the price point. Perfect for the little club gigs we do. Sturdy, well built. Been using them over a year now, semi-regularly, average 3-4 gigs per month.
Very good quality!
I needed a lighter weight passive speaker and these fit the bill. I've been practicing solo with my acoustic guitar and they have sounded great. Finally had a full rehearsal with my band today. I was plugged in, my keyboard player was plugged in and I had a condenser mic hooked for my mandolin/dobro player. I was concerned the vocals wouldn't cut through, but they did beautifully and I was delighted. Can't wait to try them out at our next gig in a few weeks. My sales associate did an awesome job helping me decide on this purchase.
Great value for the money
I purchased these in a pair to replace some cabs that a departing band mate owned. I use them in my studio/practice space and for front of the house when we have gatherings at the studio. I am extremely pleased with the way they sound! They hardly needed any EQ at all. Thanks to Logan Miller for his great customer service, I'm planning on picking up a couple more.

Sweet purchased.
The best qyality sound 12 in pasive speakers.
Works great!
Sounds great in the long end of things, it packs a lot of power for a 12", great for the gigs out we are having!
Friggin Awesome
We are using these for monitors and they are friggin awesome. Excellent sound quality and no feedback issues. Very lightweight. Will soon be buying some larger ones to replace our Yamaha Mains. Well worth the price. Love these.
Great Speaker
This speaker was to replace one that I had for over two years that had blown, and it was an excellent choice recommended by an employee. Very happy with the product.
Crystal clear
After using other brands playing as a acoustic duo,
These speakers with the powered sub are perfect!
Very light weight and quick set up and tear down.
I now used these at 4 shows. Unbelievable great.
Great speakers
Leaving aside the fact that these speakers weigh less than half of what our previous mains weighed (we don't have roadies, and we aren't getting any younger!),the sound we were able to coax out of them was amazing. We play smaller venues (100-250 people), but the rooms' acoustics can be a challenge. Like others who have reviewed this model, we had to tweak the EQ on the board a bit to get what we needed on the low end, but the end result was a crisp, clear, mix that filled the house without any muddy lows and mids.
Worth the money
I give these a 5 star because they really are a great speaker for the money. This is my second set. I'm doing a little larger venue and because my first set have been serving me well for the past 3 years I figured I couldn't go wrong adding 2 more. I run 4 of these with 2 18" subs and they sound really nice. Like I said, I can't really think of anything I don't like about them. They are crystal clear and give good sound with little eq.
Great sounding speaker
A good price aside, these Behringer speakers sound great! We are using these for the PA system for our marching band side-line instruments (the pit). Everything we have used from Behringer has been reliable and sounds fantastic!
Behringer B212XL 12" passive speaker

Best speaker ever
Best speaker ever i used it already sounds great
Excellent Sound And Power For Budget Bands
Our band is in the process of both running out of space at my house, and also needing better vocal reinforcement. We solved this partially with new Behringer Eurolive B12XL speakers (the upgraded Behringer mixer will be next).
We saw an immediate improvement over our old speakers in overall full-range sound projection and clarity. Now, we can spread them out more and reduce mic feedback. The horn and 12" woofer with 800 peak wattage (200 RMS is a little low) are plenty of juice for rehearsal a well serving as floor monitors for gigs - bonus!
I have not seen any quality issues and recommend the Eurolives to anyone wanting big sound on a budget. PS - get Gator Frame stands for these speakers, sturdy and a good fit.
A Lot of Bang for the Buck!
I have always been very brand-loyal. It's been JBL all the way since the 70's. I still own 6 MRX515's and recently sold 4 MRX512's. Now I'm 70 and needed something lightweight for small gigs, so I took a chance on the B3212XL based on the reviews and light weight. I was very surprised at the sound! I use soundtracks covering 5 decades and these cabinets sound surprisingly good for their size and weight. I'm glad I chose these. Would I buy again? Absolutely!
Very good for size and weight. A bit light on the bass response but overall a good bargain.
Very good for a lightweight speaker weighing under 24Lb. Hooked up to a Behringer PMP550, I was able to deliver adequate sound levels for voice PA and dance music. I could see a band without drums use these in a small room as long as the bass was using its own rig. Reasonably full-range sound but light on the bass.
Sweetwater specs the Max dB @ 95. Per Behringer, its Sensitivity (1 W @ 1 m) is 95dB and no maximum is listed—this is much better and corresponds with what I hear.
Owner's Manual is good and downloadable. No surprises.
There are louder, more efficient 12" PA speakers on the market but those cost and weigh a lot more. Finding decent passive (unpowered) speakers is becoming more and more rare.
I'm keeping these.
Behringer B212lx
Bought this a couple of weeks ago and they sound great. But while on the floor you can easily tip it forward. Needs a leg right in front which would stabilize it. I stacked two together and it tilted with just a slight push. I did contact Behringer and I was told they were only to be stacked for storage.
great for wedge
puts it out , sounds good , light weight , a little shy on bottom end for me BUT , hands down awesome speaker
B212xl a good quality product
The B212xl is a compact, versatile speaker that fits right at home in my studio. This speaker has a clear, clean sound at all frequencies and is very affordable.
Impressive for cost, weight and sonic quality.
I have opted to permanently install this speaker in various locations (bars, nightclubs, restaurants) when quality "foreground" sound and a VERY budget conscious design parameter are part of the choice process. Overall, I have installed 29 of these (with mounting brackets) over the years. My only frustration is it appears the adhesive used to hold the grill in place has seemly changed. Out of the last 5 installed (within the past 12 months) 3 had their grills fall off during usage - thus I pulled the grills from the remaining 2 out of safety and visual concerns. I'm still a huge fan of the speaker for price and sound quality however.
B212xl
just got these 2 days ago and better than I thought they would be. Happy! only one thing, while on the ground they tip forward very easy. need a support leg in the front. ill have to put one on it. I like that you can double stack these and they hook together and hold. again after double stacking they were even more acceptable to falling forward. but I'm liking them.
Very Happy with them.
First the size.
They are a bit smaller than i thought they would be, comparing to some other 12 inch speakers that i own.
This makes them easy to move around, and a breeze to put on speaker stands, compared to 15 cabinets.
They put out a lot of sound for their size.
I was pleasantly surprised.
If you push them a bit, you can get some good bass from these speakers for their size.
I used my digital mixer, and got in to the eq settings where you can boost the low end a bit,and move the frequency point.
I moved it around, and found that there is kind of a sweet spot at the low end.
I also like the way these cabinets lay sideways, and the angle, because they will probably be used more for monitors than main PA in my situation.
Overall Very Happy with them, and the price...
Speaker Review
product preforms flawless, very satisfied with the sound and built strong. lightweight and easy to handle.
Sweetwater delivery was on time and in good shape would recommend dealing with them.
polka time

Behringer 212
Great sound for the price !
Works great for our group.
Plan to get 2 more.
Thanks Sweetwater for your help.
Gig Tested
I've been using these speakers powered with a couple of different Mixer/amps from 300 to 800 watts in various sized rooms for over three years. They require a little tinkering with the EQ for the best sound, but they have gotten the job done every time without any sort of failure.
Really great.
Great product, so far so good.
