Great bang for your buck!

By Jacques Monette from NEW BALTIMORE, MI on January 31, 2024

So far I have been very pleased with this speaker. The sound is very clear and these can get very loud. If you're just beginning and are looking for a place start, I think this speaker is a great choice. Shout out to Tim G. at Sweetwater for always taking care of me. Sweetwater and Tim have a customer for many years to come!!

Great product

By Sweetwater Customer on October 19, 2023

The speaker sounds great at any volume. The integrated mixer makes it very versatile. I can use it alone for a small solo gig or with a mixer for a full band. Great value for the price!

AWESOME!

By Louis A from MAHWAH, NJ on July 20, 2023

These speakers are fantastic. I use them with edrums - previously had drum amps which sounded terrible; they just lacked the necessary power. These are powerful and produce great quality sound. I don't even like using headphones anymore. Highly recommend!!

Perfect timing, perfect speaker.

By Len Johnson from Maryland on June 14, 2023 Music Background: Lifer.

I'm getting back to doing some solo gigs with my own backing tracks, and I needed a larger, louder speaker. I ordered this on Friday afternoon, with a gig on Sunday, not expecting to arrive until midweek. To my surprise it showed up Sunday morning with plenty of time to test it out. It sounded great! Big shout out to Mike Godlove for wonderful customer service!

Filled my needs perfectly.

By Craig A Vlasic from Stickney IL on April 6, 2023 Music Background: Pro Audio eng for 35 years plus avid musician.

I recently purchased two of these to use as foldback in a live music situation. They are the perfect size, have plenty of output and good adjustability. These are perfect for my rehearsal room.

Love These

By Dave from Northern NH on March 8, 2023 Music Background: Been playing 60 yrs; guitar, bass, vocals.

I bought 2 of these to replace my aging PA system and compliment my MGX10 Yamaha mixer. They sound great and fill the bill whether I am doing solo work or playing w a small combo. Easy to carry, less footprint than the old system, great sound, easy to set up and tweak the tone from the mixer. Handles instruments well (acoustic guitar, harmonica, cajun); vocals are crisp and clean. These can be used as monitors also. Design allows for sideways tilt back. And plenty of power.

Incredible for the price!!

By Frank Fortner from Williamson, GA on January 12, 2023 Music Background: Singer/Songwriter/Worship Leader

Seriously... I wanted a pair of inexpensive but solid monitors and/or (very) small/acoustic gig mains (good luck, right?) and yet... these speakers are amazing. For the price, it's a 2000W pair that actually sound great and have a lot more versatility/features than I'd expect. Kudos to TJ Jackson and the amazing folks at Sweetwater for hooking me up with these!

I Love these speakers

By kevin brooks from Mobile, AL on December 20, 2022 Music Background: Bass and Guitar

The BD112 speakers are small for a 12-inch 2-way design but sound huge. They sound great with low noise. We run the bass guitar direct into an XR18 digital mixer and these speakers handle the bass guitar exceptionally well. If you are looking for a great-sounding pair of powered speakers that won't break the bank, this is your speaker!

This is a very good powered speaker for the price, sturdy and a great sound when tweaked.

Great drum monitor

By John Buzzelli on October 14, 2022

Our drummer uses electronic which would occasionally shut down (limit out) the PA speakers (we don't run subs). We run 2000W QSC 12.2 PA speakers. We now run the drums mainly through this monitor (along with vocals and some guitars) and reduce the amount of drums in the mains. This works great.

Nice Powered PA Speaker

By Tom Turner from South of San Antonio, Texas on September 14, 2022

I bought this to use with an electronic drum set. I looked at systems that were designated as electronic drum amps, but I really didn't like what was out there. This works great as an electronic drum set amp.it is plenty loud. It has two channels. It has a two band eq. It doesn't take up a lot of space. The price was very reasonable. Great purchase.and the Sweetwater help was amazing as usual .

Great Keyboard Amps

By BC on May 17, 2021

I have a couple of these I use as keyboard amps. I used one not long ago with a very loud rock band. I played a YC61 through a Ventilator and the organ was clean and loud and sounded perfect. I bypassed the Ventilator and the Wurlitzer and acoustic pianos filled the room. After we got going I had to turn the volume on the B112D down below half - the keyboards were just too loud - and this was with one of the things... 'nuff said.

Great service - Great Product

First of all Mr. Lively was very knowledgable. He was able to steer me in the right direction with what I was looking for. He was not wrong. This product is great. Does everything I wanted and more. Allows me to use the speaker in other applications if needed and not just with my PA system. If I ever need anything again from Sweetwater I will definitely be looking to use Mr. Lively!

I just replaced my old PA with a new system using the B112D speakers and I was blown away by the response and clarity of the Mains. I also purchased the B1200D-PRO 500W 12" Powered Subwoofer system and the results has been amazing!

A lot of Bang for your Buck!

By Sweetwater Customer on July 22, 2019

I"ve used many powered speakers over the past few years and have to say that these are some of the best.
We perform primarily outside along the coast of Florida and our gear is subjected to hot sun, salt air and wind.
These speakers stand up to those elements and deliver great sound and reliability all the time.

Perfect for Solo Gigs

By Mark Shaw from Berlin, MD on July 1, 2019 Music Background: Performer and Producer

I play solo acoustic gigs with vocals, my guitar, and a loop station. This thing is perfect for my needs. I used to carry around two 12" speaker cabinets, power amp, mixer, stands, cables, and all this crap for every gig. It got tiresome after a couple seasons of lugging all of that around. I see dudes using the Bose L1's which is just a bit out of my price range. But honestly, I've played through both the Bose and this little Behringer, and I must say I like this better. Especially because of the price. I can walk in any gig now with a backpack, my guitar in one hand, and this speaker in the other, and my setup time has drastically decreased to about 10 minutes. I have a pool bar gig in a rather large outdoor area and when I setup in the corner, this one lone speaker covers the entire area no problem. I'd definitely buy a second one, but if you play small-medium bars, restaurants, and outdoor areas, this thing will work quite well for you. I'll never turn back from powered PA speakers at this point. This thing has already paid for itself. DON'T order from Amazon. Deal with a company who cares about their musician customers. Great job getting this to me so fast, Sweetwater!!

Great.

By Richard on May 19, 2019

Excellent speakers for the price, use them in a small setting three times a week with an acoustic trio, as front end speakers, and as monitors with a 6 piece band and they definitely perform.

Awesome Speakers for Main or Monitor

By Paul Hamilton from Fort Lauderdale, FL on March 26, 2019

I originally purchased the Behringer B112D to use as the monitor speaker for my Yamaha keyboard which produced very pleasing sounds. I recently purchased another B112D to use as a main FOH speaker for my setup. These speakers are awesome and are up to the task as either a main or monitor.

Amazing bang for the buck !

By Jimmy Limo from Weed, CA (Mt Shasta) on November 19, 2017 Music Background: Professional 1-man-band 9it's my day job)

I'm a 1-man-band, guitar (strat) vocals, backup bass, drums & keyboard tracks... blues, oldies, classic rock, smooth jazz and country. I've been playing 45 years professionally, over 10,000 gigs. I was using a JBL Eon15, which sounded great, but I was getting tired of dragging around its 46 lbs weight. I bought ONE Behringer B112D. Only 27 lbs, smaller footprint. SO easy to lift and load. Sound is perfect , using only ONE speaker for my restaurant and small bar gigs... At this price I'll definitely buy a second for outdoor gigs, but I've already played a few outdoor venues and the ONE speaker worked fine ! The 1000 watt designation is wildly optimistic though, 300 watts is more like it..... It can CRANK though... I run it at volume 3-4...

Cost Effective

Very happy with my pair. For the quality you get at this price point you can’t find a better deal. It’s more than likely that I’ll purchase more of these.

Impressive right out the box..

By Virgil Franklin from Linton on September 19, 2017 Music Background: Audio Engineering Professor and Veteran Audio Engineer

After careful consideration and research I purchased 4 of the Behringer B112Ds as a replacement for our aging front of house speakers. I've been doing live sound reinforcement at the professional level for over 30 years and I have never seen such an efficient design at this price point. The clarity and the SPL generated by these cabinets is unheard of for the price. These are a real no-brainer. Don't waste your time just buy!

Superb Speaker

By Julian from Denton, TX on March 16, 2017 Music Background: Professional singer/instrumentalist

I tested JBL, Mackie, and QSC at a local Guitar Center but they didn't have the Behringer. The QSC was the best of that bunch but I certainly couldn't afford that. I took a chance and bought the Behringer and was pleasantly surprised to find that this speaker was very good. I actually preferred it above the JBL and Mackie and would say that it is very similar to Yamaha DXR that a friend has. It's so quiet that you don't know it's on and when music is played, both instrument/mixer and playback music, the sound is clear, crisp, and full from top to bottom. I will definitely buy another one. This speaker has plenty of power and it's very light. I paired it with Behringer's 12" powered sub which enhanced low end. Great buy!

It's awesome

Very amazed

By Scott from Austin, Texas on November 4, 2016

I am still amazed at how versatile these speakers are. I'm starting to think with the built-in amp with USB microphone port and other inputs, I don't need a mixer at all. I can even do without a sub if I wanted to save money. These speakers really crank out the bass. I even took one of them out to my workshop to use as an MP3 player speaker. I didn't need to haul out a separate amp, mixer or cables. Just one speaker and an aux cable. That is a feature I didn't expect. Very cool.

Didn't Expect this sound

By Ben from Scottsdale, AZ on October 10, 2016 Music Background: Lead Singer+amateur live sound and recording engineer

I bought 4 of these to use as stage monitors and so far I am amazed by how loud and clear the signal is! I bought these to use right away so I could save up to maybe by some higher end monitors but I may not need to replace these if they keep doing what they're doing!

The design and build is very professional. the handles at the top are just way more convenient than if on the sides. So far so good with these and I'll add anything if I experience any difficulty!

Well Worth The Money

By Sweetwater Customer on August 17, 2015

I was skeptical buying these speakers because of the low price. I have a pair of QSC and am blown away by them. Last year, I bought a pair of Mackie's and was underwhelmed. Seeing that this was less expensive than the Mackie's, I expected a similar performance. I was wrong. Although these are not as good as the QSC, these are a great pair of speakers regardless of the price

Hate to coin the phrase "Good things come in small Packages" But it really applies here. These Speakers positively blew me away. The clarity and fullness of the Frequency range is incredible not to mention the SPL factor. Home run from Behringer!! 5 Stars for me.

Great value!

By Paul Vesperry from Florida on January 12, 2023 Music Background: Semi pro.

I have purchased 4 of these to use both as monitors for a band and for DJ gigs. They are great in either application.
The only ding is a slight bit of hum static. But it is not noticeable when they are playing.
One set I've owned for a year the other two less than 3 months. I couldn't bring my self to buy any other speaker.
Excellent value and so far reliable.
I have a 15 inch sub is use with 4 when DJ ing
Sounds great!
I have used much more expensive gear but for bang for the Buck, these are a better choice.

Performs nicely

By Ken from Michigan on October 21, 2018 Music Background: Composer, songwriter, and keyboardist since HS; pro audio engineer (primarily studio, some FOH) for about 17 years.

I needed a relatively inexpensive solution to use with my keyboard rig which would occasionally be suited to use as a small PA. The specs and price on the B112D appeared to fill that need on all points, so I bought one unit to try.

In use, I am quite happy with it. I did not expect to fill our entire church sanctuary with my keys going through only 1 of these, but it comes close enough for my needs at present.

Flexibility. The combo jacks are a great asset, as I can use a TS or TRS directly from the keyboard when the B112D is right beside me, or balance the line and run via XLR over a longer distance when needed -- or just feed it directly from the mix console.

I can't speak to the wireless accomodation, I don't have the wireless system to plug into it.

With class-D amp design, it is quite lightweight, and is easily carried and lifted (for me anyway) with one hand.

It sounds fairly even across the spectrum at "real" levels, but seems to really enjoy its own bass more and more as the level is pushed higher. What I mean by "real" levels is, for example, if you are playing a piano sample, set the volume so that it approximates the volume of an actual piano in the room. My guess as to the reason for the gradual increase in bass at higher levels is so that it can try to sound like a bigger system. But alas, a 12-inch is still a 12-inch, and physics just won't play that game. If you want full spectrum in anything more than a small club, you'll want a *pair* of these *AND* a sub running as well.

But overall, for the job I need it to do, it's fantastic! Planning to order a second one before too long....

Plenty of power

By Sweetwater Customer on September 7, 2018

Good for program music. Works well as stand alone PA for indoor speaking with wireless mic. Works well for live music when used with additional equipment ( processors, sound board ). Works well outdoors for additional sound when mixed with other speakers and subwoofers, run through processors and soundboard.
Horn sounds glassy at higher volume levels if not adjusted through additional equipment. For the price, these can't be beat. For a stand alone speaker for live music, higher priced speakers would be a better option.

Great speaker for the price!

By Greg Smith from Edison, NJ on March 6, 2018 Music Background: Been playing guitar since I was 12. Active "hobbyist" musicial - playing in cover bands that gig 1-2x a month.

I had to buy new main speakers for my cover band - one of the used Behringer speakers I owned blew out during an outdoor venue. They were old and it was probably their time.
I shopped around and ended up buying a pair of these along with a pair of 500W 12" Behringer subwoofers.
Let me tell you...the sound quality I get from these speakers paired with the subs is AMAZING!
And at 1000W, I seldom turn the volume past "4" for indoor gigs. They are THAT loud.
Great sound quality. Assuming you know how to run a mixer, you will get great results with these.
I get a lot of compliments on our sound. I run everything through the mixer - all instruments, all drums, and obviously vocals. These speakers handle it EASILY.
If you're on a budget, get yourself 2 of these...match them up with a pair of 500W 12" Behringer subwoofers...and you won't be sorry!

Pleasantly surprised

By Jeff M. from WV on May 25, 2017 Music Background: Musician for close to 30 years.

I have always been the pianist for different musicians, but have never been the one to actually run the sound. Recently I have began in that capacity as well, so my knowledge was very limited. I purchased 2 of the Behringer Eurolive B112D 1000W 12" powered speakers to use as house speakers in small to mid size venues. We have been using them for about a month and I am thrilled. The sound is very clear. They have plenty of power....so much so that I have plenty of head room with the volume control. I would definitely recommend these speakers.

Very Good So Far

By Chuck on January 31, 2017 Music Background: Performer, Producer, Studio Owner

I heard one of these at a recent gig as a floor monitor, and I was surprised at how good it sounded. Honestly, I don't expect much from Behringer. In the past, I had occasionally used an older Mackie Thump 12 that sounded very mediocre in comparison to this B112D. A small local church hired me to upgrade their sound system, so I decided to purchase two of these. In trying out the first speaker, the sound was full and fairly well balanced. Mind you, it's no QSC, but for the price, I am rather satisfied. If this speaker has a good longevity and doesn't fizz out or get too hot and cut off (which should not be a problem in a small church setting), then it is very well worth the money if you are on a budget. If you want something to push a club or party, obviously look for better, higher priced & more durable gear. It's all in what you use it for, and how hard you push it. Know your needs. For mine, and for the price, this fit the bill.

Doing what they need to to...

By Mike K. from Round Rock, TX on June 22, 2016

I considered another brand well-known for it's powered speaker line but when comparing the 3-4x price, it wasn't for very long. The B112D is lightweight, powerful, and easy to use. I use them for live gigs, rehearsals, and my keyboard players like them too. I combine them with the B1200D sub-woofer when doing larger gigs.

The only reason I did not give these a full 5 stars is that you have to be careful in driving the input (like all Behringer equipment). They sound great unless you clip the input, then it quickly turns harsh. But if you follow this one simple guideline, they will work great.

Saved my voice!!

By Rebekah on May 12, 2016 Music Background: Speaker

The system we bought worked awesome for our needs this past weekend! It changed the whole experience for us and saved me voice during the 5-hour Seder! Thanks so much for getting it here so fast! :-) It really is a nice little portable system! And great service!

Very good speaker-don't underestimate!

By Dunc on January 20, 2015 Music Background: Composer

I've had a pair of these speakers for well 2 years now and must say it has exceeded all my expectations so far. The first simple set up is just with a mixer without a sub, running vocals, bass, guitar and keyboards through it. The sound is very clean. It has enough bass, mids and highs that you can adjust to your liking and all system ready to go!

However, once you get close to 8-9 on the dial, it's best not to push it all the way. We all know what can happen if pushed hard to any brand of speakers-it becomes fuzzy and looses it's tonal qualities. I have used this speaker for several live gigs with a 5 piece band and it holds up nicely in a small to medium size venue. You may want 15" if you're going to really push it harder. To top it all off, once I hooked it up with a pair of subs, the sound is just amazing! I can't really tell the difference between high end brands than this. If you're doing duos and solos this is ideal. It's lightweight, has many connectivity features at the back that includes wireless mic outlet. All in all, built well, but look after it and it should last for a long time!

Deep sounds

By Gregory Neese from Radcliff, KY on July 25, 2023 Music Background: Keyboard Musician 50+ years

Great sounds as a monitor. I use two B112 speakers as monitors for outside and inside events. Easy to transport and setup as floor wedges. The sounds have been amazing and I'm able to daisy chain to another B112. I wanted great, deep sound with my keyboards and guitars, and playback music and I think these B112s, a small package delivers a big sound! I'm impressed.

Money well spent

By MIke B from Pennsylvania on May 11, 2020 Music Background: DJ

Sturdy construction and clean looking. I bought a pair. This is more than enough sound for an average gig. The bass is already decent before adding subs, clean highs. Very happy I decided to go against the crowd and bought some Behringer products. I cant wait to get out and really turn these up!

I do street busking, using rechargeable battery powered speakers and mixers, Chordpulse Lite to write my backing tracks to, a midi based computer program installed on my Netbook PC. Clean and Loud (if needed)

By Scott James from Long Island, NY on January 28, 2017

First, kudos to Behringer for making the changes they have to there engineering and build quality. If this was 5-10 years ago, I would have never considered them. Major improvements to the sound of their gear. This powered speaker does exactly what it was selected to do: Clean sound and loud if necessary. Got the speaker Thursday, used it the following night for the first time with the electric band - employed primarily for vocals. Using the onboard EQ I roll off a little of the lows and add a little high frequency and the results are crystal clear, no distortion and great coverage. Added a bit of the electric guitars to the mix as the night progressed, this 12" speaker kicks and appears to be very, very well made. Knobs and input jacks are solid. Will purchase a another if needed (could definitely use as PA speaker in smaller venues) and would consider the 15's to be in the running if I need a new PA, currently a buddy let's us use his JBL's and they too are quite good, as you would expect from them. Randy Akins, my sales consultant since the 90's was spot on with his information and guidance. And the usual amazing customer service got this to me in a day even though the order was after 4pm. Always above and beyond Randy is down to earth and has good ears, thank you Randy.

very good for the cost

I killed it

By Chris on October 19, 2023

I accidentally left it on overnight, and it fried. I could smell the burning electrical components and knew it was toast.

Obviously it's my fault for leaving it on, but I've done this a few times in the past with other speakers, without the same outcome. I'm not sure what these speakers are supposed to handle, but this one couldn't take what others have, in my experience.

It's probably time to upgrade anyway, but I don't think I'll purchase a Behringer again.

Sucks

behringer B112D

By Sweetwater Customer on February 14, 2017 Music Background: Guitar teacher 50 years. Jazz band. Classical guitarist. Church organist.

The B112D seemed to be working when I got it. At one of my jobs the amp in it stopped working. Lights blinked and the unit shut off. Would not come back on. Mailed it back. When I got it back the second time it seemed softer. I came on but was not 1000 Watts. One month after that the amp quit again. Mailed it back a second time. When it returned to me the unit came on, this time with about 5 watts of power. Could not hear anything unless I turned it up all the way. It obviously was not tested in the Behringer shop. Sweetwater is mailing me a new one. If it is not perfect I will ask for my money back... Great service from Sweetwater. Horrible service from Behringer.
