Extremely Happy

By Don from California on January 5, 2024

Have played dobro and banjo for many years now and decided to challenge myself with acoustic guitar. Recently purchased an Ibanez electric guitar and after a couple of weeks of practice, I decided to purchase an amplifier. I have never purchased an amplifier, however, after doing my due diligence and talking with friends, I decided to purchase the Fender Junior Acoustic 100 watt amp. The Fender amp is everything all the reviews and friends said it would be. I couldn't be happier. If you're a beginner and just playing at home, this amp is perfect and is probably more amp than you will really need, but I wanted to go with a name brand I could trust and has been around for ever.

Fender Acoustic Jr GO

By Terry Brady from Florida on December 27, 2022 Music Background: Guitar and vocals.

The service from Sweetwater was excellent as usual. The amp sounds great, easy to use with simple controls. It has two identical channels making it perfect for guitar and microphone. The rechargeable battery feature is very convenient. The ability to stream using Bluetooth; we have been streaming Christmas music and it sounds very nice. The effects are numerous and sound great. It only weighs about 15 pounds. I am very happy with the great little amp and would recommend it to a friend.

More versatile than expected

By Kevin from Camden, SC on November 16, 2022 Music Background: Multi-instrumentalist, compser

I got this amp to do voice & guitar performances--its intended role--and it works well for this purpose. It sounds good, and the effects are a real positive; it's as portable as advertised, and looks good.

What I didn't expect was that it would also work well with electric & even bass. I ended up using it for a run of the "Rocky Horror Show" with acoustic-electric running into Ch. 1 and electric running into 2. Very handy for that 7-bar guitar change at the end of the show! And thank goodness I didn't need to cram 2 amps into the cramped band loft.

Only drawback: the output is post-fader, so if you bump your volume, that will be reflected in the mains, too.

I haven't tried the looper--no footswitch. But I can say the volume has been adequate for every situation so far.

Great little amp

This sounds great with my Taylor 610. Sweetwater also had the best price. Win-win.

Makes My Acoustic Guitars Sound Better Than Ever

By Rodney Tredo from Ormond Beach, FL on March 18, 2022

This amp has enriched the sounds coming out of my acoustic guitars. It offers a variety of tones, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an acoustic amp for household use. I never really thought I needed an amp for my acoustics, even though they are electric, but after trying one out, I realized what a difference it makes, and decided to purchase one. Glad I did.

Light and Sweet

By Art Green from California on August 27, 2021 Music Background: Part time musician and songwriter

I decided on this amp after I received a Behinger amp that quit working after about 5 minutes. The Sweetwater crew took it back no questions asked, issued a credit and promptly sent out this Fender Acoustic Jr!!!I'm impressed with this little jewel..Fender packed a lot into a little package.! I wanted an amp for my Martin D12-18 and My Martin OO-18 G that have K and K pickups in them. This amp works perfectly, because I can dial each one in on separate inputs. This amp has two outputs that I can run into my main sound system, and basically use it as a pre amp as well....I can't wait to try out the looping set up as well!!! I daisy chained it to my Fender Blues Jr(that I recently purchased from Sweetwater) and played my Martin F 65 ..what a blast!!!!Really happy with my purchase and I can't say enough about the customer service at Sweetwater especially with the follow ups from Austin!!!!This company is first class,I will back for more goodies!!!

fender acoustic junior

By Sweetwater Customer on May 4, 2021

great amp. awsome features. beautiful sound. lots of options well worth the price

Fender has turned it up

By Robert Harvey from Brooks, KY on April 18, 2021 Music Background: Semi pro.

I have had the Acoustic junior for a couple of weeks now and needless to say, I'm impressed! This amp has many of the features that are only on the more expensive amps. Dual direct outs that can be summed into one direct out give versatility for use with a PA or recording. Dual identical channels are nice. The effects are good and there's a bunch to choose from. Some complain about the power and not being loud enough. I found that the volume pot have a different taper and allow for a more gradual increase in volume. And, it can get loud! Use the headphone jack and the sound is even better than through the speaker! Although, the speaker and tweeter sound great. And at the price, it was a no brained. I had another amp that went bad and it was going to cost as much if not more to fix. So, I opted to try this fender acoustic junior out. I'm glad I did. Btw I bought the electric version. They make a battery powered version for those on the go! Fender has definitely stepped up their acoustic line!

Big bang in a little amp!

By Will Redelsheimer from MO on February 2, 2021 Music Background: 30 yrs. Singer, Songwriter, Musician

First I want to give a shout out to Ken Nace! I'd been hearing about the quality of customer service that Sweetwater provides for quite some time, but I'd always been skeptical of buying online. That ends now. I'm a believer and I will definitely be a repeat customer thanks to Ken...
Added bonus: free 2 year warranty on nearly all items plus free shipping.
Now the amp. This little guy (surprisingly smaller than I thought) is the real deal. The ONLY real thing that I wish from it was that the pedal to work the effects/looper was included, but considering the price of the amp and the amount of features piled in, I'm not complaining. Everything works fine without the pedal (currently about $65) but I highly recommend purchasing it as well, makes the experience freaking sing. The sound for both guitar and vocals is crisp and clear with very little tweaking to the tone. The effects are both tasteful and complimentary and can be dialed in nicely. So far I've only had the guitar volume up to about 1/3 and the vocals pushed just beyond that but not quite to 1/2 and it was plenty loud for home use. Very loud in fact. I purchased this amp for home and studio use and I am not disappointed even in the slightest. This little guy rocks! I imagine this thing would do quite well for smaller gigs and intimate settings, such as coffee houses...possibly small outside events as well.

A Really great Acoustic Amp

By Bob from NC on January 28, 2021 Music Background: Studied clarinet for over 40 years

All the Acoustic amps available from local retailers that met my requirements exceeded my budget. I noticed a few reviews of this amp and meeting all my requirements and remaining within my budget, I ordered it hoping that it would sound great.
- I was very pleased with how it sounds with my Taylor's ES-2 preamp. I would describe the sound of my Guitar with out amplification as being, full base and mid range with moderate highs. It does not have that twang sound of some steal string acoustics. To reproduce the sound of the guitar, with the guitar's EQ are set at mid, the amp's EQ is set with Base at 1/4 turn CW, Mid at fully CCW, and High fully CW. It does a great job with those settings with that guitar. The other guitar I use the amp with, is an old 1965 Gretsch Clipper that is useful as an Acoustic arch top with a single pickup. This amp reproduces this guitar perfectly with all three EQ's set to their mid positions.
- One of the main requirements for me was the ability to record both the guitar and voice at the same time but on separate recorded tracks. This amp provides separate Line Out XLR jacks with allows me to do that and with a push of a switch it allows me combine them if I desire a single recorded track.
- Although not part of my requirements the 90 second looper is great and very useful when using it with the 4 button foot switch. It proved very easy to use. The down side is that the foot switch is a separate purchase.
- The Effects work very well, I particularly like the reverb with a moderate setting.

Awesome, powerful, amp that sounds fantastic!

By Mike from Fargo on January 27, 2021 Music Background: Country, classic rock, contemporary Christian. Played guitar for just under 40 years! Yikes.

I've played acoustic guitar for years, usually through sound boards in church environments. I unboxed my new Fender Acoustic 100 and put a new, TC Helicon Acoustic Play processor in front of it and I am very, very impressed at how full, clear, responsive and powerful the sound is. I've only put about an hour on it but I am very happy with how big it sounds and how it adds so very much to the sound of my Taylor 410 CE. I should have gotten one a long time ago because the quality of the sound produced is so much more pleasurable than raw acoustic. If you aren't playing through an acoustic amp, I highly recommend you try it because it will dramatically improve the quality of your guitar.

Very Impressed

By Gil Rubio from Seaside, California on January 3, 2021 Music Background: Playing Guitar for 49 years, Songwriter, Band Leader, Producer, Engineer

I never thought I would need an Acoustic Guitar Amp, as my Acoustic Guitar is just that. A Handmade Custom Acoustic Guitar that I've owned since 1976, the year it was made.
I have several Electrics, but only one Acoustic and it does not have a Pick Up.
I use it for Church Services which have moved outdoors now due to the Virus.
When the small PA is used for smaller services, I needed something to plug two Mics into.
One for my Guitar and one for Vocals.
Previously, another Guitarist at the Church had offered his Marshall Acoustic Guitar Amp but it only has one Mic input.
I did my research and found this Amp and bought it.
I am really impressed how clean, warm, full and natural the sound is from such a small amp.
Although, I can Line Out into the larger PA, I have not done that yet.
We did listen to the Livestream Video after a few of the services and I was impressed again as to how full and natural the Guitar and Vocal sounded being picked up by the Priest's wireless headset mic 30 feet away!
Even my Electrics sound good through the Amp.
I am very impressed and quite pleased.

Fender Acoustic Junior

By Patrick Morley from Illinois on December 28, 2020 Music Background: intermediate guitarist - played in several bands in the past.

I love the new Fender Acoustic series. Very lightweight with a ton of power and great effects from a small amp. Pair it with a Mustang 4 button pedal and looping couldn't be easier. Great value... Sweetwater got this out to me in a couple of days. Thanks Colton for the customer service.

Great sound, good effects, not as loud as I thought it would be

By Mike Pilling from Nassau, New Providence on December 30, 2020 Music Background: Former pro. Recording and playing for 50-plus years.

I know, you play acoustic, so why does it need to be loud? I figured 100W would be that extra kick of horsepower one could tap into, if and when needed - like at a noisy coffeehouse or restaurant. I guess I expected 100W to be very loud, and this isn't, really. Don't get me wrong, it's plenty loud at half volume to play in your bedroom or livingroom - but I can turn it up to full volume and not rattle the windows. Try that with my 15W Vox tube amp and the windows might blow out!
The effects are good, however a master reverb for each channel would have been nice. For instance, I can select "Chorus" from the effects bank, but I can't add reverb to that chorus. I can only have reverb if I select one of the 3 "Reverb" presets in the effects bank. The Boss and Fishman amps both have reverb knobs PLUS effect knobs, for each channel.
These are minor beefs. The sound of the amp is awesome. Crystal-clear reproduction from my Journey carbon-fiber and my Martin/Sigma DM-5. It absolutely sparkles when I plug in my Strat. The kickstand on the bottom is nice to tip the amp upwards if you can't set it on a chair. The amp is nice & light, so it is easy to carry. The embroidered 'Fender' logo is a nice touch. All in all, I can't complain - this is a nice amp for the price, and I'm sure I will have it for many years.

So far so good

By Sweetwater Customer on November 25, 2020

So far so good. This amp works well, sounds good and is pretty fun to use. I haven't gigged with it yet so I can't comment on how it sounds at high volume but at low volume it represents my acoustic well. The mic line also sounds good. The best part IMO is the built in looper, it was a great idea to include this in the amp, a game changer, though the pedal is essential to use this feature the right way. I'm happy with it so far.

Great Little Amp

By Bob Cary from Florida on August 25, 2022 Music Background: Playing in bands since the 70's

Playing in a 5 piece band with drums can make hearing acoustic guitar through a floor monitor difficult not to mention feedback if the guitar is too hot. The Acoustic Junior on a raised amp stand like the RS7000 tilt back stand, cuts through the mix and has a nice enough sound to route to the sound board for the audience to hear through the mains. The amps power is rated at 100 watts which means nothing because electrical power wattage does not equal volume. The wattage rating of the speaker is unknown says Fender because the amp is made in China. I'm guessing it's around 50 watts. I needed a stage monitor for my acoustic guitars and this works fine for that. With its dual XLR outs it can be used in churches and small to medium sized venues. To avoid onstage feedback I place the amp behind me about 5-6 feet.

Great amp at a great price.

By Tom from Newport News Virginia on February 16, 2024 Music Background: Guitar, Bass, Trumpet, Harmonica, Vocals

Very good amp. Effects are very good. Great for practice but seems not powerful enough for gigs. Maybe good if connecting to a PA. Using a microphone is not as good. Need to turn the volume up all the way.Tried to use a pre-amp on the mike but I got a buzzing sound but it may not have been the problem with the amp. For 100 watts it is not as powerful and smaller then I thought it would be. I recommend it for a guitar practice amp only. Other then that the sound is stellar and the price is great. Its a keeper and I will buy the fender t-shirt soon. Also, just wanted to note that the customer service at Sweetwater is Outstanding. God bless!

Thought it would be louder

By Chad Coletti from CENTER CONWAY, NH on July 22, 2021

When I think of a 100 watt amp I think of every other 100 watt amp I've owned for electric guitars. This sounds more like a 25 watt amp tops. Thats my only complaint, other than that it sounds great, the looper is awesome. With all the extras this has for the price, I think its worth it. If you plan on playing anything bigger than a small coffee house you'll still need a PA. I bought this to not have to carry around extra gear, so thats why it gets 3 stars.

Fender Acoustic Junior

By Sweetwater Customer from Lexington, Ky on March 18, 2021 Music Background: Music Event Performer

I purchased the Fender Acoustic Junior amplifier and the acoustic tone is great, along and the unit being very lightweight for travel. I have had no success though using the Fender MGT-4 4-button Mustang GT Footswitch with the amp, even after purchasing numerous Footswitches. I have tried multiple times but none to date will work correctly with the amplifier without some glitch, very disappointing. Secondly, these amplifiers are meant to be light and great for travel, especially the Fender Acoustic Junior GO model, but Fender does not even provide an available cover yet to add basic protection for the amplifier. Again, very disappointing. I am still deciding whether the amplifier is worth keeping if the optional Mustang GT Footswitch is not going to be more reliable. As stated earlier, I really want to like this amplifier but am very disappointed with the encountered issues to date.

OK if your playing by yourself

By JP from PA on July 11, 2022

First of all, if I were rating this amp on sound and quality when playing solo, I would give it a 4-5 stars. My main concern prior to purchase was stage volume which I asked advice on and was encouraged to purchase as it would not let me down. When I purchased this to use with my fiddle for a country band, I liked the sound. I quickly became disappointed... there is no stage volume when the rest of the band is playing. All of the other instruments drown me out. After a couple of months of frustration, I bit the bullet and purchased a Mesa/Boogie Rosette at a bigger price tag. If you are playing solo in a small venue or at church, this amp works fine but if you are playing with a full band, I wouldn't recommend this amp.

Useless for busking!

By David from Florida on December 22, 2023 Music Background: 30 years playing saxophone

The go anywhere amp??? That is portable…seems to be missing the one crucial requirement….battery power. I tried this amp out for busking. Loved it, and was then told it was plug in only. Jeez, it's size, effects, weight make it an ideal busking amp… except for most important thing. It's like selling a Tesla…. Without the battery….useless!
