Audio-Technica AT8022 Stereo Condenser Microphone Reviews
Audio-Technica's AT8022 is a stereo condenser with an XY capsule configuration. It includes two cables - one with a balanced XLR output and one with an unbalanced TRS output - so the AT8022 is ready to integrate into whatever system you need. Both compact and lightweight, the AT8022 is ideal for video camera-mounting, interviewing, and home recording situations. It also pairs particularly well with a portable field recorder. There is a switchable low-frequency roll-off and you can power the Audio-Technica AT8022 by battery or phantom power.

Flexible Microphone
So far, I am very impressed, both with the qualit of this microphone and its flexibility. It offers XLR connectivity, as well as self-powered connectivity for 1/8" units. Well engineered and very useful.
Solid stereo mic
Used it for a sporting event to get ambience and I kid you not when I say it sounded like I was there again. The audio is clean and crisp, the low cut button is extremely useful for camera that don't give you the option, and the option to have battery powered phantom solves connectivity issues with multiple mic situations on a camera. I recommend it
Most Pro Quality Audio that Is Easily Afortable
I just love this mike. The Stereo immage is nice and wide, it gives you that big fat crisp and really bassy studio effect. It has served me well, It has exeaded my expections from how it was discribed to me. I also love how it's hotter then it's big brothers. I can use it just fine with the middle mike sencitivity. I really recomend this mike if you want real acuricy and truth to your recordings. The next thing I love is that in that it is a some what hot mike as I said before, it seems to addapt to what ever recorder or system you use it with.Basicly, the more floornoise your recorder has, the more floor it will give you. This really is a wanderfull mike. It really does live up to the reputation of it big brothers the AT822 and AT825. All though, and this why I gave it 5 stars, it really a bit more like the AT825. Really prue and crisp. You won't regret this purchase, it gives even my worst recorder some life. Your videos will sound really great. For thoughs of you who have heard it, immagine for a second if tyou will connecting an AT825 to your camera. That's how good your vids will sound provided your camera has really good pre-amps, and is really good sounding it self. But, even if not, it will still make it sound the best it can. I really do agree that this mike can be used in a studio. It does really sound like really does belong in a studio. This is now my mike of choise, I wouldn't use anything else.
Clean sounding stereo mic
For the price, I should give it 5 stars but in general I'll give it a very solid 4. Amazing separation front right to left and a very clean and natural tone.
