A.R.T. (Accelerated Ribbon Technology) Transducer ADAM's A7 features the unique A.R.T. (Accelerated Ribbon Technology) Transducer, which is the main contributor to the success of ADAM studio monitors. The A.R.T. Transducer is what sets ADAM's A7 nearfield monitors apart from other monitors in this price range. The A7's A.R.T. Transducer sports a 4:1 velocity transformation between folio and air which improves the transient response, and the larger diaphragm allows for greater volume. 100W Bi-amped Design ADAM's A7 monitors are built with two 50W amps to individually drive the Rohacell / Carbon Fiber sandwich woofer and A.R.T. tweeter. This provides ample power to clearly and accurately reproduce the low end and maintain the clarity and crispness of the high end. With this kind of power, you can be sure that ADAM's A7 nearfield studio monitors are providing the clearest picture possible of what's happening at the mixing board. Balanced and Unbalanced Inputs By providing both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) input connectors, ADAM's A7 monitors can be used in almost any application where the ultimate sound reproduction is needed. The inclusion of the two different types of inputs allow for the A7 monitors to be used with anything from high-end mixing consoles to studio-in-a-box standalone units with unbalanced outputs. Whether you're in need of an amazing surround setup or accurate monitoring in a studio situation, the ADAM A7 monitors are a great choice. ADAM A7 Features:

I A/B tested these against the KRK VXT8s (which I was previously leaning toward). I was blown away. The ribbon tweeters are very efficient and produce clean clear response even at low volume. The mid-... read more [+]range is clean too. The low-end is a little lacking and could be helped out by a sub, but that tends to make me a little uncomfortable not knowing how much my mixes are being influenced by the sub. Overall, these have risen to the top of my list. Even with Adam's Sub8 you are still at under the $2K mark for the set. Tough to beat with anything else on the market at this price point. close [-]

Like most upon initially buying the A7's I was sitting up LATE enjoying some of my favorite tracks and that ADAM sound. Unfortunately I had to work and was busy writing a letter at the same time. With... read more [+] my body turned slightly to my right (and thus making my left ear slightly off axis from the left A7's position) I was engrossed in the writing when part of the track “whispered”a speaking part over my left shoulder. It was a male voice and it literally raised the hair on my neck and startled me out of my chair!!September 3, 2008 Music Background: Musician for 33 years, Recording Engineer, Mobile Studio Owner-Operator, student forever I can’t tell you how un-nerving that was, I’m sure I lost a few years on the old life meter! If this is a budget monitor, Well, I’m not sure I could take a pair of their better ones. Thanks ADAM for building a monitor I can afford and that can scare the h*** out of a 6'-5" man, keep up the good work! close [-] Absolutely Stunning

I can't believe how quickly I'm making decisions and trusting them now that I have these. Sweeping eq's to find what you want is much more revealing on everything from acoustic and electric guitars, ... read more [+]strings, kick & bass marriages, tom eq'ing choices. I used to flip constantly from different sets, burn cd's to check in cars and reference on little boomboxes and I honestly have had better translating mixes without doing any of that at all off of these. Totally non-fatiguing, non-boomy bass that's still trustworthyingly present. I listened to the P-11's which were slightly better but also an extra $500/each and I as well heard some S3a's which were completely out of my price-range. What's great about the whole line is that they equally share amazing translation. You really just get more wattage(more volume)and better(deeper) bass out of the more expensive ones. Really, in smaller rooms, unless you need to just have some hype speakers for the client, you don't need anything more than these and maybe a small sub like a TS8 or something. They guys are just amazing. Hope this review helps. close [-]

I usually don't give my opinion on anything because what I like might just differ from what someone else might like, but after receiving the Adam A7's Wednesday I had to comment and say that I am tot... read more [+]ally impressed. I started listening to some music I like to get myself used to the Adam A7's and I began to hear things that I never heard before, little details started popping out. The clarity is remarkable and for such a small monitor I'm amazed about the low end it's tight and punchy. I myself will still be adding a sub in the near future, I like to hear the lower frequencies. This is my first experience with Adams and I will have to say that I love my Adam A7's! Definitely worth the money. close [-]

I also have a pair of Adam S1A's. The mids are very clear and the highs very clean. I do a LOT of television scoring...if I could just get all the producers to have a pair of these in their offices. LOL! I've used Yamaha, KRK, and many others and I believe ADAM is the best. close [-] |
