A Truly Unique Gibson Guitar of the Week!
The Gibson Reverse Flying V solidbody electric guitar takes an already head-turning body design and flips it around, giving you a truly unique axe that maintains that solid Flying V tone. The Reverse Flying V includes the same great features you expect from a classic V, including a mahogany body and neck, 24-3/4" scale, stable Tune-o-matic bridge, and great-sounding humbuckers. However, the "wings-in" configuration (the headstock is also "flipped") is anything but traditional! Limited to a run of 400, the Reverse Flying V is a Gibson Guitar of the Week for August 7, 2007.

A unique V design
If you're a fan of the Gibson Flying V, you'll definitely want to check this one out! Though it has all the great features that make its brethren sound so great, the Reverse Flying V turns around the body - the tip of the "V" points outward, the "wings" inward! The headstock design mirrors the body, giving you a radical take on an already distinctive design. Gibson will make only 400 of this special model, which has been designated their Guitar of the Week for August 7, 2007. Rounded neck profile
The neck profile of the Reverse Flying V is that great 1950s rounded version. It sounds great when grabbing big fat power chords. The pearloid dots complete the vintage look.
Two hot humbuckers
Historically, Gibson has long been associated with the dark, punchy tone of the humbucking pickup with its fat low end and crunchy, complex midrange. The Reverse Flying V carries on that tradition with two scorching hot '57 Classic humbuckers.

Gibson: Don't Mess with a Good Thing
Gibson guitars have been around for well over a century. When guitarists are looking for an outstanding combination of superb tone and playability along with great looks and gorgeous finishes, the choice for most of those 100 plus years has been Gibson. From their amazing collection of fine acoustics to the electric guitars that literally rewrote music history, Gibson guitars have been on almost every chart-topping album from artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Cream and Led Zeppelin. These "first call" instruments also cross an enormous array of diverse styles, from folk and country to blues and hard rock. With that resume, it's not surprising that so many of Gibson's best-selling instruments have changed little over the decades. Because there's just no sense in messing with a good thing!
