The E670FE‑EL34 is ENGL’s flagship high-gain amplifier head,
rooted in Edmund Engl’s personal Special Edition design
and crafted with full tube circuitry. It sports five ECC83
preamp tubes and four EL34 power tubes, producing 100 W of
pure, all-tube tone with five channels—Clean, Crunch, Lead I,
Lead II, and Tubedriver—with nine tonal voicings via onboard
voice sculpting switches.
Channel and tone shaping include dual Presence and Master controls,
Gain Boost, Hi‑Gain, Mid‑Shift, Contour, Bright, Mid‑Edge, Modern
Classic, Mega‑Lo‑Punch, Depth Boost, built-in reverb, serial/pedal
FX loop and a foot-switchable noise gate . Three buffered FX
loops—one serial, two serial/parallel—add routing flexibility.
