Here we got a beater of a guitar. Some kind of refinished 2000’s Ibanez RG. A friend of mine bought it to do an EVH inspired finish. I have since shielded it, upgraded pots, the switch and output jack. The pickups are Fender Shawbuckers. Well, 75% of them are. The cream colored coil is from another pickup due to one of the Shawbucker coils being no good. Surprisingly, with the mismatched coil, the neck pickup RIPS. This is truly a beater guitar. The refinish is spray paint. No where near perfect. But, this guitar plays very well, and the Ibanez branded licensed Floyd Rose works. Just a cheap, reliable ripper. Nothing more, nothing less.
