1997 Ibanez RG450DX made in Korea. It’s a 26 year old shredder guitar, so it definitely shows use. Minor wear and tear, but 100% functional.
Upgraded pots (CTS), output jack (Switchcraft), switch (Fender 5-way blade) and wire (cloth pushback).
I’ve shielded it all with copper shielding tape to reduce EMI and other unwanted noise.
It has the original Ibanez Infinity pickups in it. Alnico 5 magnet in the bridge and middle pickups, ceramic magnet in the neck pickup.
SWITCHING:
Position 1 = bridge (humbucker)
Position 2 = bridge slug coil and middle
Position 3 = middle (single coil)
Position 4 = middle and neck slug coil
Position 5 = neck (humbucker)
Strung up with NYXL 11-49 strings in D# standard (Eb).
Unfortunately, I do not have the truss rod cover or tremolo back plate. Who needs ‘em anyway?
It was Plek’d at Sweetwater (last photo) on July 26th, 2023, so the frets are the most dead level they’ve most likely ever been allowing for super low shredder action with no buzz.
It is signed by Joe Satriani, though some of the signature has rubbed off. Not trying to get extra money for that, just mentioning it.
