DOD 944 Chain Reaction was one of the first digital multi effects unit produced from the 80s, with a rack mount format, it provided an array of most wanted effects (for the time period) all in one box suited for both live & studio use. Effects are Heavy Metal Distortion, Flanger/Chorus, Digital Delay, & Parametric EQ which works well as an additional tone setting, like having another amp channel. These are adjusted with a nice selection of tone shaping controls for each individual section. Max delay time is 0726. Back panel has additional ins & outs for several of the effects sections to be processed individually. I purchased this when it was released in the 80s and have owned it ever since. Oddity: SN sticker was upside down when I purchased the unit. Foot controller Bypass switch stopped working several years back and I unplugged it, so the bypass control function is NOT operable & light on foot controller stays on while unit is powered up. Essentially NO Bypass option. Other than that it is a well working effects bay. There are some scratches on both the box & foot controller but for it,s age it's in great shape. All controls are solid & working properly except the bypass mentioned above. Also included are 2 spare foot switch pads.
