Here is my 2001 63 Reissue Les Paul SG Custom in Excellent Condition. This is a one owner guitar and that is me, having purchased this in 2001. Over the years, the color of the instrument has yellowed a but from white to a nice butter cream yellow which oozes with vibe. One could consider this as NOS because there is no checking. Outside of some mild tarnishing on the gold as can be seen in the photos, this guitar near mint. There are no chips, gouges or scratches, the ebony fretboard is pristine, and the frets show zero wear. This guitar has spent most of it’s time with me cased up, and played for maybe three hours overall. Custom Shop Case is mint. Plays with nice action and sounds like a dream.
If you've been holding out for a guitar like this, wait no longer. This is the one. You won't find another guitar with this variety of unique features. The SG originally was intended as a Les Paul redesign and addressed what many considered the 2 main issues players had with the Les Paul: weight and upper fretboard access. Les Paul himself didn't like it so the Les Paul stuck to its original style and the new Les Paul design was renamed the SG Standard. Even though Les Paul didn't approve of it, countless rockers loved it and made it one of all-time hard rockin' favorites. This is the early '60s deluxe model.
The 63 model was the last with the Les Paul attachment to it. Custom Shop hard case, case candy and COA included. Beautiful guitar that is meant to be played! The person that buys this guitar will be surely pleased and will have an heirloom quality instrument!
