This is a 1978 Gretsch 7681 Chet Atkins Super Axe. This guitar sounds incredible and comes with the original hard shell case. The case has seen better days, but it’s protected the guitar well. The phaser on this guitar seems like it needs some attention and I did notice that some of the prongs were pushed out on the wiring harness, I have those pushed back to where they should be, but the effect is not audible, although it does boost the volume with the blend knob up all the way. The compressor/sustainer works perfectly. This guitar plays well and has minimal fret wear. The neck is straight and plays well all the way up and down. I am unable to verify if the truss rod works as I do not currently own the tool for it. My luthier confirmed that the neck was not in need of adjustment when I had it serviced prior to listing it.
