The Gibson Hummingbird Standard Rosewood delivers everything players love about the legendary square-shouldered Hummingbird, now elevated with the rich depth, warmth, and harmonic complexity of a rosewood body. This guitar is in mint condition and was removed from the box only for testing and photography. Electronics function perfectly and sound excellent plugged in. Acoustically, this example is especially impressive — incredibly balanced, warm, articulate, and resonant with a powerful low end and shimmering overtones. Includes the original Gibson hardshell case and all original case candy.
This special variation takes the timeless Hummingbird formula and enhances it with solid rosewood back and sides, delivering a fuller bass response and richer overtone content compared to the traditional mahogany version. Paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, the result is a dynamic and versatile acoustic capable of everything from delicate fingerstyle passages to powerful strumming.
The square-shouldered dreadnought body produces the bold projection and full-range voice that made the Hummingbird famous, while still maintaining exceptional balance and clarity.
