This is a gem—a big baritone ordered locally and shipped directly from the mountains west of Tokyo around 1999. It’s currently on its second pickup; I first had an LR Baggs soundhole pickup with preamp, but later switched to a Fishman piezo with preamp and controls, which I prefer. I’m happy to include the LR Baggs since it’s a well-loved and great-sounding pickup. For a nearly 30-year-old guitar, it shows normal wear, with huge sound and very good playability. At 65, I’m leaning toward electrics and smaller-bodied acoustics as they’re easier to handle. While I own quite a bit of gear, this is not only a wonderful guitar but one I’ve played often and will continue to record and perform with until it’s sold. It’s rarely been used outside the house—only to churches once or twice a year. I’ll upload some cell phone recordings tomorrow. It needs a good home with a player who will love and use it.
