Great unit, in perfect shape. It is fantastic on the mix bus, or for adding weight to drums. It does 'the Neve thing' pretty well, with added Germanium upper-mid range bite (or full on distortion, if you drive it hard enough).
The TX drive can be very subtle, and I find there's always a clear sweet spot at just the right notch (there are about 5 notches between numbers). The gain/output sets a push-pull level of drive in the back half of the circuitry, which is what's controlled by the Blend.
This means you can drive the initial transformer from your input gain, balanced with TX knob, and separately control the drive of the latter circuitry, to the output stage.
The Sat circuit, for my taste, is good for individual sounds or stems that you'd prefer to be tucked behind the most forward of sounds, seeming to mainly effect the low-mids.
The M/S routing sounds great, especially on electronic tracks, and the unit otherwise functions in dual mono (there's no channel linking).
The back panel connections are very simple, just XLR L/R input/outputs, with the power switch located in the back. The front, then, has dual mono bypass buttons.
I'm heading overseas, and cannot take it with me, so I'm just choosing to sell it vs. store it. -but I will miss it, so you'd better take good care of it!
