I’ve had a lot of Les Paul Studios come through my hands, but every once in a while one shows up that completely blurs the line between “Studio” and “Standard”—this particular Studio Session is exactly that.

The Honey Burst finish on this one is stunning in person. It’s got that warm, golden glow that just lights up under proper lighting, and the figured maple top has way more depth and movement than you’d expect from a typical Studio. It doesn’t just look good—it looks premium. This is one of those tops that makes you double-take when you walk past it.

But where these Studio Sessions really separate themselves is in how they’re built and spec’d.

This isn’t your stripped-down Studio. You’re getting a carved maple top over a solid mahogany body, modern weight relief for comfort, and a set neck that feels every bit as solid and resonant as a Standard. The neck profile sits in that sweet spot—fast and comfortable without feeling too thin—and this one is dialed in beautifully. Action is low, neck is straight, and it plays effortlessly all the way up.

Tonally, it delivers exactly what you want out of a Les Paul—and then some. The pickups have that classic Gibson warmth and thickness, but with a clarity that cuts through when you need it. Roll the volume back and it cleans up nicely, push it and you get that full, singing sustain Les Pauls are known for. It’s versatile enough to handle just about anything you throw at it.

Where it really stands up to a Standard is in the overall feel and refinement. You’ve got upgraded electronics, high-quality hardware, and a level of finish and attention to detail that puts it firmly in that “why pay more?” category. It feels like a player’s Les Paul that doesn’t compromise.

Condition on this one is about as clean as it gets. It’s in like-new shape with little to no signs of play—no notable wear, no issues, just a super clean example that’s ready to go.

What stood out to me:

Exceptionally figured Honey Burst top with great depth and character

Premium Studio build that rivals a Les Paul Standard in feel and tone

Balanced, articulate pickups with classic Gibson warmth and sustain

Comfortable, fast neck that’s dialed in perfectly

Extremely clean, like-new condition

It comes with the original Gibson soft shell case and all the case candy, which is always a plus.

Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.

⏳ Quick note

These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
