- Up for sale is a USED Ibanez RG652KFX-KB Prestige, 6-String, RH - Right-Handed Electric Guitar. This is finished with the Australian Blackwood top, and has matte black covered Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Pickups. This guitar is in GOOD, Overall condition. It is VERY CLEAN (recently thoroughly cleaned!).
- *I now have three (3) Hardshell Cases; one SKB 1SKB-FS-6 TSA Hardshell Case that this guitar fits into quite well; I have one Gator GC-ELECTRIC-A ABS Deluxe Case that this guitar fits into decently, and one G&G G&L Style Case that is universal and protects but doesn’t mold to it nearly as well as the SKB FS-6 nor the Gator Case (because the G&G case is open body and open headstock cavity and more of a universal size), however the G&G case is built a little better in my opinion.

- THIS GUITAR IS A SUPER SHREDDER. HANDS DOWN. VERY RARE. LOW ACTION. NECK IS STABLE. LOCKING TUNERS. EVERTUNE BRIDGE. JUMBO NICKEL FRETS THAT ARE STILL IN GREAT CONDITION; 8.7/10. FISHMAN FLUENCE MODERN HUMBUCKER PICKUPS. CUSTOM FLIP UP BATTERY HOLDER, ROUTE, AND CAVITY. THE COMBINATION OF THIS GUITAR AND THE IBANEZ RGR52ET GUITAR I AM SELLING, BOTH GUITARS HVE CONTRIBUTED TO ME PURCHASING MY NUMBER #1 IBANEZ PLAYER GUITAR. FOR THIS REASON I AM SELLING BOTH OF THESE GUITARS. IF I DIDN'T HAVE MY CURRENT IBANEZ, I WOULD KEEP THIS GUITAR, AS IT HAS ALL TYPES OF SUPER BUTTERY GOODNESS!
- HOWEVER COSMETICALLY THIS DOES HAVE SOME ISSUES. FUNCTIONALLY THIS GUITAR HAS TWO MAIN ISSUES:
The pickup wiring in this guitar was attempted to mimic one of Ibanez's typical wiring configuration with a 5-way switch. I have not changed the wiring since receiving the guitar this way. I believe the current 5-way switching configuration: Bridge Humbucker Mode, Bridge Single Coil Mode, Both Bridge and Neck Humbucker Modes (Middle 5-Way Switch Position), Neck Single Coil, and finally Neck Humbucker Mode. The Tone Control is a Push/Pull Pot, but I don't believe it is wired to switch voices, as these Fluence Modern pickups have the ability to technically switch between 2 distinct voices, and add single coil sounds as well. I feel that this slightly dampens the possibilities of this the sounds this guitar has the ability/ potential to utilize.
Both pickups are direct mounted into the pickup cavities. It appears as if the Neck pickup's bass side pickup mounting ear is cracked (or broken (plastic)), enlarging the hole to which the pickup mounting screw goes through, thus causing the bass side of the Neck pickup to remain at a height and not get screwed down closer to the body any further. The pickup mounting screw goes right through the hole, and unless a washer is installed (hopefully) or the screw catches the ear enough to snug it down, the bass side of the neck pickup mostly cannot be lowered than the height is is currently at now. I may attempt to get a washer to see if it helps, but I believe the ear doesn't have enough attached area to pull the humbucker pickup down. I'm letting the buyer know this info.
These two issues are the only functional issues I have found. Other than these, this guitar actually sounds killer with the current 5-Way switching it does have. The single coil modes are decent but the humbucker modes are dominant and clear. This guitar has sustain for days!
- Cosmetically, this guitar has its flaws, and here is its biggest flaw - The guitar body was refinished by the previous owner, and it got a bit botched up. The whole back of the guitar has cosmetic flaws, all over, and starting with Picture #18 - many of these blemishes are pictured as I tried to reveal the entire back and many of the finish blemishes (both front and back). When the custom finish job was completed, the original cavity covers didn't fit quite right, so now the two electronic cavity covers, as well as the evertune bridge cavity cover are all custom (carbon fiber style) and while they don't fit to perfection, they do well enough to cover the cavities and routed cover shelves.

- Some of these cosmetic flaws are only noticeable in the right light. There may be some other flaws that you cannot see, obviously I could only show so many pictures. This is USED, so it may have some other very minor surface wear on the finish, and hardware from being played and handled, surface swirling, etc, but I couldn't see any other than what I listed.
* GIVEN ALL OF THESE COSMETIC ISSUES DESCRIBED AND SHOWN IN THIS LISTING, THIS GUITAR IS STILL AN IBANEZ PRESTIGE MODEL, MADE IN JAPAN, AND UPGRADING THIS PROFESSIONALLY TO AN EVERTUNE BRIDGE ATOP OF THE PRESTIGE FUNCTIONAL TREATMENTS - COMPLETELY BETTERED ITS PARAMOUNTS. THE BASSWOOD BODY HAS MORE RESONANCE WITH THE EVERTUNE BRIDGE IN THERE, THE GOTOH LOCKING TUNERS ARE PERFECT, THE FRETWORK AND EDGES OF THE FRETBOARD ARE SUPERB FEELING, AND THE PICKUPS STILL SOUND FANTASTIC. IF THIS DOESN'T SELL, I WILL FIX THE FLUENCE NECK HUMBUCKER PICKUP EAR, AND RE-WIRE THIS TO HAVE THE SECOND VOICE. COSMETICALLY THIS ISN'T THE BEST LOOKER FROM THE BACK, BUT THE FRONT FACE HAS THAT FLAMED KOA VIBE, AND THIS STILL LOOKS GREAT FROM THE FRONT, EVEN WITH A COUPLE BLEMISHES IN THE FINISH.*
- This guitar is set-up pretty darn well, but this could use a set-up with the user's preference of strings. The Evertune bridge is killer, I have more than one guitar with this bridge on it; So worth it.
