This is not your average SE. This McCarty 594 in Black Gold has been professionally upgraded and Plek’d to perform. This guitar offers the resonance, stability, and tonal complexity usually only found in the Core line.
Plek’d & Setup: The frets are perfectly leveled and crowned, offering a level of playability and low action that exceeds factory SE standards.
Bridge Pickup: PRS 58/15 LT "Core" Humbucker. Unlike the stock "S" pickups, this is a US-made Core pickup. It is low-turn and vintage-voiced.
Neck Pickup: Madlove CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker. A massive upgrade for the neck position. The CuNiFe magnets provide hi-fi clarity and chime that standard humbuckers lack, making the middle and neck positions incredibly versatile.
Both pickups have push/pull coil splitting on their tone controls.
Bridge: Upgraded to the PRS Core Zinc Bridge with machined brass saddles. This adds significant vintage-correct resonance compared to the stock SE hardware.
Nut: Upgraded to a GraphTech TUSQ XL nut for rock-solid tuning stability and better harmonic transfer.
Very low hours on this instrument. The Black Gold finish is pristine and the top has a deep, well-matched flame.
This guitar is the latest 2024/2025 specification, featuring the new Wing tuners and updated, contoured pickup rings.
